Lovely being next to the river Clean room and comfy bed

Room was freezing when we checked in at 3pm. We were hoping to have a rest after travelling but the room was too cold even lying in bed fully clothed. We had to go and sit in the main building till heating came on in room which when we asked at reception about it, was told it comes on at 6. When booking it looked like the room was in the main hotel building however it wasn't, it was in the annex on the ground level which we thought we would have more of a view than we did

Location very good. Setting very good. Breakfast was good. They have a lovely patio area that overlooks the river. Nice in an old fashion way. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Plugs for charging our devices were low to the floor and hard to reach. The one night we had dinner, Friday Oct 11 was one of the worst meals I had in the month of traveling through the UK. Pasta with some kind of ground meat, no flavor. Other dish beef was tasty but mashed potatoes very runny.

A beautiful location , period charm in the main house and all staff were friendly , obliging and welcoming . Good choice at breakfast with decaf options . Bar prices were good and the Riverside views lovely

In our room in the main house Wi-Fi was not secured by a password as I would expect with a 4 star . Could be open to hackers Breakfast could be more healthy and dietary aware eg granary bread instead of plain average whole meal , alternative milks One night a funeral party took over the whole bar for hours so we couldn’t use it - they should have been given an alternative venue after an initial period Restaurant prices looked very expensive so we used restaurants in town

Position of hotel very convienient to get to the Cathedral and City shops. Very clean, staff very polite and the outlook is Amazing along the river Severn, lovely to see the swans and wildlife, a very pretty hotel and we visited the Christmas Markets, the hotel was dressed for Christmas and very tastefully done too. Brenda the head housekeeper was so nice to us as she spoke to us about the hotel and grounds, other staff were lovely, Nothing too much trouble in this hotel. Fab breakfast and much choice, we were not rushed. Beds were comfortable and very clean rooms. We will book again.

The breakfast menu was wonderful, providing a wide choice of options. The eggs benedict was superb! The location is perfect, very close to the cathedral and town, yet in a quiet spot by the river bank. There are seats and tables by the river, perfect for a sunny afternoon pot of tea, or an evening glass of wine. My room was comfortable, with a lovely bed. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. So the hotel was really good - but what made it truly exceptional were the fantastic staff who were warm, helpful and professional. Really appreciated as a lone traveller -thank you!

Evening meal was very good and cooked very well, but the steak was a bit sinewy, not the chefs fault though as he can only cook with what he is supplied with. Breakfast was very good and the quality was excellent, and clearly they have a very good chef as the ingredients were high quality and cooked to perfection. The view at breakfast of the Severn River with the Swans floating by was pretty cool.

I was placed in one of the cottages and the bed was not the most comfortable, but the rest of the room was fine as I was travelling alone, and nice and private.

Fablous stay .we stayed in a lovely room ,which overlooked the river.. fantastic location to the spectacular cathedral..the shops are also very close by ... very comfortable and clean room.. spacious..it was so quiet....only thing that let it down was...the radiator was blasting out... tried to turn it down..but it came on in the middle of the night. I opened the window and it soon set the right temperature...but that is my only grumble.. breakfast was great 👍..we will be back for another visit 🥰

The room was spacious and nicely decorated, and had a lovely river view. Plenty of parking and they let us park before our check in time, which was kind. The location was excellent to explore Worcester and enjoy riverside walks. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Warm, big towels in the bathroom. Staff were very friendly, especially the guy on reception.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. There were kids running around screaming outside the bedroom windows at 10.30pm - because it was so hot in the room, even in late September, we had to keep the windows open and it was a bit annoying. Would have been ideal if we could have turned the towel rail off in the bathroom as this seemed to create most of the heat!

Hotel in general and our room in particular were fairly old fashioned (or have lots of character?) but clean & very serviceable. We had all the facilities we needed. The breakfast is exceptional, with a range of options cooked to order. We also had an evening meal, which was a very high standard of food, large portions, and very friendly & helpful service. Free parking is a real bonus in this part of Worcester

A bit more water pressure in the shower and a few more electrical sockets would have been helpful. Otherwise, everything was good.

Great location, picturesque and quiet. Nice walks close by, easy walking distance to town centre and historical attractions. Nice gardens and terrace for sitting out with views to the river. The style of the original hotel building was attractive.

We were in the annexe, on the top floor. The bedroom was small and the sloping ceilings had the effect of further cramping the room. I am six foot four and this was a particular issue for me. The bathroom was modern and spacious. Here too the ceiling sloped. However, the weather was good and we spent very little time in the room.
