Very friendly hosts, keen to make our stay very enjoyable with recommendations of places to visit and eat. Old vintage house but kept very clean and comfortable, lovely fresh breakfast every morning, don’t worry about vegetarian sausages as they are lovely and I wouldn’t have known any different. Location is brilliant for the lower south part of Cornwall.

Everything was great. The only two niggles were our private bathroom which you have to go out of the room and it’s on the left (no issues with that) but the window could do with a blind and the shower cubicle leaks so mopping up to do afterwards. Other thing was wall between ours and next door must be quite thin and if someone is in that room with a loud voice you can hear word for word conversations.

What a surprise when you go through the door in to another world of character and history, the decor, furnishings and structure of the building were to be admired. The welcome from Karen was very friendly and welcoming, our room was very large and again characterful with original beams and very thick walls and vintage furnishings. Our breakfast we hadn't realised was vegetarian but absolutely not a problem as the full English was as tasty as a non-vegetarian!! Karen was very helpful in recommendations of places to visit and dine.

If you are looking for a nice, cozy, quiet place to relax and escape the busy life, Britannia House is the best place to go. Karen, the lady of the house and her husband are great hosts, very friendly, kind and helpful, who take really good care of their guests. Breakfast was amazing, which a choice of pastries, cereal, jams or the full English breakfast (vegetarian) if you like. Karen is a great cook! ☺️ The living room has a nice and cozy fireplace and good, relaxing music where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Room is nice and clean, has an electric blanket and TV with Netflix. The place is close to the coast, 15 min drive from a beautiful scenery. My girl and I really enjoyed our stay.

Very welcoming hosts. Lovely, comfy beds and clean rooms with a sense of calm and peacefulness. Breakfast is fresh to order, with a great choice of things on offer as well as fresh coffee, tea and orange juice. This B&B is delightful and Karen and Derek have made this a really homely place to stay. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this as a perfect place to stay for location, comfort and hospitality.

There isn't anything I didn't like about Britannia House B&B. It's great!

Location was perfect for our visit to Helston for a theatre performance. Very warm welcome from Karen with a pot of tea in the lovely property. Lovely house, beautifully furnished with immaculate taste. Room was small (as expected and previously informed) but so well fitted out that everything was there that might be needed. Breakfast was vegetarian, but excellent scrambled eggs, fruit etc. Parking right outside the front door.

Maybe should be warned that breakfast is vegetarian only, but a very minor issue as it was excellent.

The hospitality of the owners was above and beyond. They made us feel welcome and it really felt like a home away from home. The room was a great size (Truro) and the private bathroom with this room was extraordinarily spacious with great facilities. Breakfast every morning was delicious and fresh and the most perfect way to start the day along with being to catch up with other guests around the breakfast table.

It's very close to Praa Sands beach and also to St. Michaels mountain. Britannia House captured my heart with its vintage charm, warm hosts, brilliant coffee, and lovely breakfast. The attic, complete with a fireplace and cozy furniture, provided a serene retreat. The house's unique character and history made it a truly remarkable stay. If you're looking for an enchanting escape that takes you back in time, Britannia House is the perfect choice.

Loved everything.

It’s nice to have free parking spaces. Karen, The hostess was approachable. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was tasty . These prepared us well for the tightly scheduled sightseeing.

Given the condition of the roads in Cornwall , the place is a bit difficult to get to. And no mobile phone signals were really unexpected. However, they are all kinds of Cornwall things. No fault of the hostess .

Ideally situated in a quiet village only minutes away from the sea. This Grade II listed property is fantastic, comfortable and clean. Karen and Derek are wonderful hosts, warm, friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Vegetarian/Vegan breakfast was an absolute surprise bonus. My top B&B experience ever I think.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this whole experience.

The rooms were extremely clean and very well furnished. The owner kept alive the old Enghish cottage theme by using very beautiful pieces of furniture and our stay there was authentic. Karen, the owner, is a wonderful host, she made us feel welcomed and the whole experience felt like a family reunion. Plus, she makes a delicious omelette. I wholeheartedly recommend !
