Lovely setting and garden was well looked after. Plenty of outside tables plus two Pods in sheltered area to rear of hotel and garden. Lovely dining area with tables for eating also available in bar. The overall cleanliness of all areas was good and our room was warm and comfortable. The menu was extensive and the standard of food served was good. The serving staff were friendly and efficient.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property or our stay (3 day break). They may wish to consider clarifying what is available on arrival tho. . eg we had a small dog which we were happy to pay the requested fee on arrival but an explanation of where it was allowed to go would have been helpful. There was also some confusion as to whether our food could be added to our room number. I think instruction in this respect hadn’t trickled down through all staff.

first of all, really fantastic value for money. wonderful staff, everyone was friendly and accommodating. tastefully decorated rooms and bar/restaurant areas. food was delicious! the chef made us a full breakfast even though they weren’t supposed to be serving them as they were short staffed - a lovely gesture. we got a wee cake and a birthday card in our room as it was my fiancé’s birthday. lovely little touches that made a really enjoyable weekend away. our wee border collie loved it too 🥰 we would definitely stay again!

our room was right above the bar so it was a bit noisy. we go to sleep quite late anyway, and we aren’t light sleepers so it didn’t bother us too much, but i could see how it might be a bit of a turn-off for some folk.

Staff friendly and helpful. We had the beautiful room 3 with a gorgeous vintage canopied bed. Hairdryer, iron, kettle, coffee etc and toiletries supplied. Tv and armchairs with coffee table. Bath water plenty hot. Excellent dinner in the restaurant. Grounds looked good. Play area for children.

Shower a little on the cool side. Some fabrics .. curtains etc..require a degree of tlc. The tiebacks particularly need attention. Move sockets or provide long extension. Had to put the kettle on the floor! Staff have promised to address this issue.

Mum and Dad stayed over the Christmas weekend. The Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were initially in a top floor room and unfortunately 2nd night had to move to bottom floor room following plumbing issue. This was done quickly and easily with no fuss. Our family spent an amazing afternoon on Christmas Day. The food was quickly and very well presented. The staff were exceptional and friendly even though we were informed they were short that weekend. Would definitely stay and eat here in the future. A lovely little hotel with amazing staff who went over and above to ensure our stay was comfortable. All areas of the hotel were kept clean at all times. Great food with lots of gluten free choices. Lovely garden to sit in with a drink or a meal. Friendly locals in the bar to chat and have a laugh with. Very peaceful with no noise at night. Thanks to you all for a brilliant stay.

There was nothing we didn't like.

As I was stopping for work, I’d had a major hold up and wouldn’t make it to the hotel until an hour and a half after the final book in time. My wife contacted the hotel as I was busy at work and the staff were superb and made it possible for me to stop there even after the final check in. I can’t thank the staff enough for their help and understanding.

There was a noisy floorboard in the room, that I wouldn’t really avoid whilst moving between the bathroom and the bedroom. This did not bother me but I was concerned that I might disturb other guests.

The staff at Bennachie Lodge are exceptional and really friendly, as are the local people who frequent the hotel. Lovely grounds and our room was very spacious (bridal suite). It’s very dog friendly and our boy loved it

Some parts of the room require updating, the loo seat was Wooden and had a very bad smell of wee. The four poster bed was nice but needs some reinforcements as was squeaky 😜

The room we stayed in was lovely like a self contained apartment, the evening meal was absolutely delicious, and I’d say the best Angus burger I’ve ever had!

The full Scottish breakfast didn’t quite live up to the quality of the evening meal and was a bit disappointing in comparison, (nothing Scottish about it, was expecting square sausage at least) but other then breakfast being a let down I’d definitely stay again!

Loved the 'upgrade' room, it was a lovely comfortabe spacious room with high ceiling, four poster bed and window shutters. There was a fab onsite restaurant and we ate there 3 nights running, the food was too good not to. The Jack Daniels Boneless Chicken Wings and Ribs...wow, we'll be back for them alone! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Stayed for one night with our family during our Highland trip, Booked 2 separate rooms. One of them was Studio with kitchen which helped a lot as all places for dinner were already closed when arrived, only opportunity was have a take-away service. Breakfast was very good, nice service and very helpful staff.

Kitchen was closed to get dinner, maybe to consider for longer hours at least in summer time.
