Freshly decorated rooms, new carpets and beds which were soooo comfy!! Staff were very welcoming and even went the extra mile to introduce us to other guests who were attending the same wedding as us. Lovely personal touch ❤️ Bit of a trek to get to our room but it was worth it. Really good sized room with lots of windows so lots of natural light.

The food was pretty basic pub grub, and we were seated on our own in the breakfast room. It was a bit disjointed and with no music on, or cosy lighting. It felt a bit cold and lonely compared with the lovely bar area we had been sitting in.

Good location, lovely inviting decor giving a good feeling as soon as you enter the hotel. The staff were very friendly and made us feel special. The lounge seating in the bar was extremely comfortable. We were a family group of three adults. We ordered different meals, and each said that their choice was excellent.

It was very strange to discover that, when we ordered pre dinner drinks at the bar, the bar staff were unable to serve us -- they were under 18!. We were served, eventually, after they found another staff member. We also had two other strange problems regarding our booking and dinner menus. However, they were swiftly resolved, and did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

Service was good but not sure they are used to serving gluten free meals as they were not sure about the breakfast cereals and no toast was offered. The evening menu did mark what was gluten free.

As I have found before when booking via Booking.com breakfast was not included although I was sure that I had selected an option which did include breakfast. This is not the fault of the hotel but of the website for Booking.com. In future I will go directly to the hotel rather than via Booking.com

The room was pleasant, clean and functional with a good selection of channels on the TV. Breakfast was an additional cost to the room rate - around £12 which seemed fair - however as I normally only have a very light breakfast I did not use this option. I didn't use the restaurant. The location was perfect for my needs. The staff I met were pleasant and helpful and they fulfilled a variety of roles.

The hotel is a good basic quality hotel and was appropriate to my own needs. No issues.

It was the most unexpected stay ever. The cleanliness, the welcoming and accommodating staff especially the receptionist on duty was over and above 5 stars. I cannot even say how impressed I had been with the interior of the facilities. The maintenance inside is up to date, so clean in every area, super comfy beds and fantastic linen and bedding! It had been an absolutely amazing stay!

Everything was great, I had no complaints.

Very nice breakfast, plenty of tea, coffee and milk available in room, just over a mile walk to town centre. Pleasant location. Hotel staff are friendly.

The hotel is a getting a bit dated and could do with a refresh, rooms are a bit dull with old fashioned dark furniture . The rooms on the second floor have very creaky floor boards and you are disturbed with people walking about in the morning in the lower floors

Great welcome from the staff, who maintained there friendly but professional manner throughout our stay, in an extremely busy period due to storm Gerrit. The hotel room was very comfortable and the food was excellent,(cooked to order by only one chef). The hotel was full and so was the resturant. The hotel is pet friendly and made our dog welcome too. Loads of parking and nice park opposite to walk the dog.

Nothing! it was literally a safe comfortable port for us in a storm!

Its a very warm and friendly hotel. Its a bit dated, but that didn't bother us. Our room had everything we needed. The breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good parking, restaurant, and peaceful.

It needs a bit of updating, but these hotels need to survive, so very happy to spend our money and hopefully it will be slowly improved. But don't take that statement the wrong way. It is comfortable, and well equipped .

The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and nice. They went the extra mile to help us and were very understanding when my mother became ill. The restaurant staff also friendly and helpful.

The sink in the room didn’t drain properly and the rooms did feel a bit tired. The food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing, but adequate, although breakfast was very nice.

I'm disabled and walking is very difficult, hence, the not applicable tick above. The complete comfort, the friendly staff, so so helpful in every way, and the fact it's doggy friendly.,
