The location is perfect, right in the centre of town. Staff friendly and helpful, room large with view overlooking the main street.

There is no parking attached to the hotel though there is parking nearby. The room was quite noisy at night, partly because of the proximity to the road with noisy people passing and partly because of other guests slamming doors and wandering around. However I accept it is a very old building in a conservation area (I suspect the latter) so the floors were creaky and it is obviously difficult to make it more sound proof.

If you want to be right in the middle of a bustling, vibrant village in the Yorkshire Dales, the Snooty Fox is the place to stay. You will experience all of the charm of an old inn and modern day comforts, and a great meal and even better beer. The staff were welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. The room we stayed in had a great view of the village Main Street, classy updated bathroom, tv, tea kettle, and superbly comfortable bed. Kirkby Lonsdale is also within short driving distance to other wonderful places in the Dales, making it a great halfway point for exploring.

Our only complaint was the temperature of the room. It could get very warm, very quickly in the room; however, the room was equipped with a oscillating fan that surprised us with how well it worked to make the room comfortable quickly. Out of all our stays throughout that trip, this was the place we slept best…until, the final morning of our stay when at around 8 a.m. someone decided to wash the outside of our windows loudly. Upon mentioning this to the staff member working, she was very apologetic and kind.

Comfortable bed, white linen, great location. Clean room Good staff. Great selection of beers/cocktails etc. Only negative was nothing to do with the hotel. Parking - limited hourly restrictions, machines sell by the hour and then upto three days . Tried my best to purchase 24 hrs but found impossible. You have to get up before 8 am to move car and then buy x number of hours This is municiple parking council run. Would be good if hotel had permits for people staying at the hotel.

Nice cosy pub with comfy rooms. The room was spotless with THE comfiest bed! It was an attic room which was fine for my 5'2" wife but the doors were a challenge for 6' me. We were told when booking though so it was my fault I hit my head 8 times... Good breakfast in the morning too, a really nice stop over in a lovely town.

It's not really the pub's fault, but the only issue is that there is no parking. There are car parks nearby which aren't too expensive although we arrived on market day so finding a space was a challenge.

The setting is absolutely charming. The rooms are located in a newly-renovated mansion, and the village is a picture-perfect location for a romantic Yorkshire getaway. The breakfast is excellent, and the portions are very nice for only an additional £6. The beds and bathroom were very clean, beautifully styled, and comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend to friends and family wanting to visit the area!

The door to get in the room was pretty low, so watch your head. Lol

Just returned from a 2 night stay, room very clean. Comfy bed, room was very warm but turned heating off and was then perfect for us. Pub was nice and warm. The full English breakfast was great, hot and freshly made to order. We enjoyed the 2 evening meals we had there, we thought good value for money. Friendly staff, nice pub, would recommend. Will stay again when in Kirkby Lonsdale. We used the New Road 2 car park, just up the road, which was easy if you download the parking app.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was a great mix of traditional pub with modern furnishings, which was clean and well looked after. The strength of the shower was excellent!

Breakfast doesn't start until 0800 and only runs for an hour. Whilst the location is central and really easy for the rest of Kirkby, unfortunately, it means that it can be noisy at pub kick out time. I did expect this, however, the temperature in the room meant I had to have the window open.

Very central,Staff friendly and helpful. One lady in particular who cleaned the rooms and served our breakfast was outstanding in her service,when my father (83 years old Parkinson’s sufferer)fell ill whilst breakfast was being served she showed genuine concern went out of her my to accommodate our families needs . Dad made comfortable then hot fresh breakfasts were brought back out after the period had passed. 10/10

This is the second time we have stayed at the Snooty Fox and it won't be the last. The room was a very reasonable rate, with a very comfortable bed, charming decor and inclusive of breakfast. The waitress at breakfast was very attentive and the pastries along with overall choice was great. The village is beautiful with plenty to keep you occupied, a really charming location. The local residents are also friendly, helpful and engaging.

At dinner upon arrival there was a lack of cutlery on the table, there was also no salt and pepper. I had to get up and locate the waitress to get cutlery, which meant I was unable to get on with eating my dinner. The salt shaker I was eventually handed was empty anyway but the waitress had disappeared before I could tell her. It would be nice to provide each room with a small hairdryer instead of having to request this.

The Snooty Fox is in a perfect location for both town and countryside walks. We had a nightcap in the bar and the atmosphere was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Our breakfast was excellent.

The room was too hot, so we had to completely turn off the heating and sleep with the window open, but it was still fairly warm. We couldn’t turn the shower on full, as the shower screen wasn’t really fit for purpose, and poured water all over the floor. But… I believe the rooms are going to be refurbished.
