A beautiful building with very convenient location close to train station, and pretty quiet most of the time. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly and attentive staff all through my week long stay. Housekeeping was good too. Well priced compared to similar places. Well priced breakfast.

Room fitout was a little tired (paint flaking off ceiling and surface of bath) but served the purpose. Some noise from hotel in laneway at back so had to close the window which made the room quite hot. Room did have a fan to help. Towel change on Sunday I stayed took old mat and hand towel but didnt replace them. When I raised this with staff, they said it would have to wait til next day as those staff had gone for the day. Room phone didn't work-I reported this but it didn't get fixed during our stay so had to go to reception when I needed anything.

The entrance hall was beautiful and the staircase felt very grand. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, too. The location was perfect, as it was right next to the city centre and the train station. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and the shower was powerful.

As it was an old building, you could hear people in the room above walking loudly (floorboards creaking) and talking; however, ear plugs were provided which definitely helped. Some aspects of the room could do with a little TLC, as there was some water damage and dirt in the bathroom. The curtains could also do with being cleaned, and the netting replaced.

I loved the beautiful traditional interior. The room and bed were very comfortable with a good private bathroom. Lift to all floors. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, food fresh and cooked food hot. Friendly and obliging staff, particularly the lady who got me fish and chips in the evening when the restaurant was almost closed. The price was reasonable for a Saturday night, especially compared to the hotel chain that raises its prices on Saturdays and was not very nice when I stayed there the night before (because it was near the Opera House). The location is good for the train and bus stations, and I did not have to drag my case uphill to get there! It is also fine for the Opera House if you are prepared to walk a little way.

Steps at the front of the hotel could be difficult for some, but I managed despite being a bit arthritic. The works being carried out in Leeds city centre were a nuisance, but the hotel cannot help that.

The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room I had was way bigger than expected and super clean (the bathroom was sparkling). However I do thing the walls and carpets are starting to wear (holes in carpet) and furniture looking a bit dated. But still all super comfy and clean.

The fact that nowhere on your room service menu did it say there was a 'tray charge' in all my years of travelling for business and getting room service I a) have never had a tray service charged (I always assume the prices are higher than normal prices and it's all inclusive) and I do not expect to only find out there is an extra £5 charge when I ring up to make an order. I was told it was on the menu. It was not. And your wonderful senior person came up to talk to me about it and saw for himself there was nothing written on your menu mentioning it. Let people know and let them decide if the extra is worthwhile. He was very helpful and sorted it out with me without hassle. But hidden charges is not OK. Have it obviously written on your menu's in plain sight.

The staff were the most friendly and kind staff you could ever have! The hotel was nice (tiny bit dated inside) but the outside was beautiful

Over priced and room was so small, the room was clean however there was a hole in the wall where the bedside table had knocked the wall, the bathroom was ok, there was so mould around the grouting and the sink was tiny. I did like the shower gel and hand wash, nice quality and good smell. One of the main reasons we stayed was there was parking, however I do think that booking.com need to put that it is LIMITED and comes on a first come first serve basis!!

Loved the hotel, our room was on the front and was stunning, a little dated but the hotel is just being renovated. I did chat to a lady who was staying in a newly refurbished room, she said it was stunning. Both myself and my partner enjoyed our stay and extended it for an extra night. The breakfast was plentiful with an excellent selection. The evening meals were again plentiful and great choice. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Conner Nigel and the Portuguese lady that served us in the bar were lovely to chat to, thank you to all the staff .

Nothing comes to mind apart from Bar prices....

Excellent location, right in the centre of town. A lovely old building with very nice features. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast (mostly).

We couldn't open the window as it had been sealed due to being next to the fire escape. This meant it got unpleasantly hot during the night. This was a shame, as otherwise the room was very well appointed. Initially seemed good value, but the parking was an additional cost of £20 per night. I appreciate that this was in the city centre, but it did seem rather steep, and the parking area is very tight - be careful if you have a large car! Good breakfast, but at an additional cost and the orange juice was rather sweet and synthetic tasting - very odd!

The location of the hotel was ideal with it being placed right in the city centre close to all shops and restaurants it was very handy. The members of staff were welcoming and were respectful. The junior double room that I booked was very cosy. I had breakfast on both mornings and have to say that the presentation and range of choice was great. Great quality of food and was definitely worth the cost. The Met Hotel Leeds was memorable.

Having great shower facilities is very important to me as a guest. The shower heads are mounted on to walls which means they are not removable which doesn't allow for a proper wash. The pressure and temperature gage was good though.

Beds were super comfy, ideal for a one night stay. My partner and I were exploring Leeds and it was perfect location. Only negative would be that the flooring is so thin, wonder if it’s the original design or thinning of the carpet but it’s so noisy when the people above the bedroom walk across the room. Sadly this woke us up a few times and was incredibly distracting. Only upgrade would be to provide refreshments on arrival to help welcome guests?

Friendly staff, lovely large room comfortable beds, clean, lovely clean large bathroom dressing gowns and slippers a very nice touch . Excellent position near station good breakfast.I had a small issue with something in the room it was delt with immediately, housekeeping and the cleaning staff were very good. A wonderful stay, I will certainly go back to The Met .

Only three sockets in a very large room and none on the wall where the twin beds were located so could not have phone next to me . Dinner in restaurant was a bit disappointing very expensive steak with a small amount of shriveled mushrooms and half a tomato. I was also expecting a double bed and a single in room not twin single beds.
