First impressions were fantastic lovely staff amazing decor to the main areas room very nice.

Some areas like stair case seemed a little neglected. We were very disappointed with the breakfast. Seemed short staffed Tables not getting cleared and people queuing to enter for some time. Witnessed used milk jugs being passed between tables and tables only being wiped with a dry cloth. Noisy and very busy. The decor did not match the rest of the hotel. For us to stay here again the standards for breakfast need to catch up with the rest of the hotel

Excellent central location. Minutes from the station (and everything else). Our room was on the 7th floor and overlooked the main square, which was great. Hotel has a nice vibe, and the lobby area and reception area were nicely decorated. Our room was comfortable and clean. Beds comfortable.

The bathroom, whilst fitted out well, was a bit on the small side (smaller than a cruise ship bathroom!) and the silly placement of a large metal soap tray in the shower meant you repeatedly whacked your elbow whilst showering if you weren’t careful! I would also have liked a door on the bedroom area (it looked like there would originally have been one), as you could hear noise from the 2 lifts pinging away when trying to sleep, so I’d probably request a different room next time.

The breakfast was welcome and lovely. The staff dealt with the few little niggles I had promptly and in a friendly manner.

Whilst waiting in the bar the staff were extremely busy. A lovely barman acknowledged me as I had been waiting 10 minutes to be served. As he went to serve me a customer who had only walked in 3 minutes previously started kicking off as he hadn't been served straight away. After a few moments a Manger came in and told the barman off for not serving him straight away. This was done in front of customers and on a very busy Saturday night. Not only was the manager and the customer in the wrong, it was unpleasant to watch. I feel it would've been better for the manager to handle this issue away from customers and to have served the ignorant customer himself.

the restaurant was exceptional, the food was lovely as well as the staff. the staff was lovely and welcoming, and the room was as beautiful. We stayed and had breakfast in the morning, this was great value and lots to choose from the hotel environment was very warm and welcoming, a lovely place to stay - home away from home - would 100% recommend and stay here again the room itself was impressive, very cozy and modern at the same time, felt very luxury

the only fault we could say was there was a mark on the bed sheet under one of the pillows. As well we were unable to work the tv and couldn’t get through to reception about it on the phone

Staff were brilliant - friendly, welcoming and efficient. Our room was just the right size and we loved the huge mirror with the lighting down each side! Our bags were stored before we checked in so we could go into Leeds centre and shop - the gentleman on the front desk who greeted us was lovely and welcomed us warmly. The smell of the hotel - even in the revolving doors was so good - it set the tone as soon as you had even set foot in the hotel. I was staying with my daughter and she commented on it every time we came back into the hotel - it was really lovely!

The only thing (and it is very minor) was the light from the heating control button was quite bright thoughout the night - I would have loved a dim button on it but we managed to stick something over the little unit and that helped a little. It definitely did not detract from a lovely stay though :)

An Iconic and beautiful hotel, with a perfect location in the heart of the city. We used the train station multi storey car park which is a stones throw away from the hotel, very convenient and easy to use. Our room was immaculately clean, stylish and well equipped, very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable, the full English breakfast was well cooked and the variety was plentiful, juices, cereal, fruit and even breakfast muffins, that were yummy. All of the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, so thank you all for a lovely memorable stay! The Queens Hotel definitely lives up to its reputation. (when walking past the hotel on a Saturday morning as two local teenagers, we used to look up at the hotel and say one day we’ll stay there, after 50 years we finally did and it was very special and memorable)

Nothing negative to say!

I haven't been inside the Queen's for quite a number of years - the first thing I noticed was that you have tried to retain the Art Deco look everywhere. Very impressive. I believe all the staff work well as a team. The reception desk staff were very friendly, very helpful and efficient. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and a vast difference from recent hotel rooms I've stayed in. The bar in the evening was good. At breakfast the staff were again very efficient, organising seating arrangements etc (and on the billing where we had not pre-booked the breakfasts). The choice and quality of breakfast food was again excellent. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Difficult to think of anything. The only thing I noticed was that the music in the bar was slightly loud, when we were trying to have conversations catching up with old friends. Perhaps we didn't look around enough in finding a spot to have a drink and a chat.

The thing that impressed me most was not the fact it was a fairly good standard of hotel and good quality furnishings etc it was all the extras that usually drive me mad in other hotels. There were great LIGHTS around the room and on mirrors (usually I find hotel rooms dark and impossible to do my make up!) The air conditioning was simple and actually worked!!! There were plugs everywhere, and by the bed and the wi-fi was great. Lots of little thoughtful things to make it comfy.

Breakfast was also good - although no scrambled egg on the buffet which I thought was odd for a good hotel.

Stayed numerous times at The Queen’s. Located directly in the centre of Leeds, and in easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Hotel is stunning, and rooms are a decent size. Particularly like the walk-in shower. Staff were all fabulous!

Booked the restaurant, but quite a few mains/desserts were ‘unavailable’ on the night, which drastically reduced the menu choice. It was a Monday night, so it probably followed a very busy weekend. That said, what we did have, was average at best. We did mention it at the time, and on checking out. The restaurant ambiance is gorgeous though, so we would be tempted to book again.

Polite staff and clean and fresh room

There was only one guy on the bar who was caught up making cocktails on the evening. It took literally 40 minutes to get served and then the 2 glasses of white wine were served in stemless glasses (yuk) and cost £28.... 2 glasses. I was then further taken back that they had no nibbles ir crisps or even a vending machine anywhere and no restaurant or catering night servuce. Ok I wasn't expecting a 3 course meal at 11pm but I thought we might get a packet of food for nuts. Great place to rest up, also lovely staff and nice room.
