Really really clean hotel and nice room. The reception staff were really lovely.

The breakfast was really awful. My husband and I both ordered the full English and none of it was very nice at all. My husband asked for a runny yolk and it was so over cooked. The hash browns and black pudding was not completely cooked and the beans were ‘dry’ the staff members were still half asleep and didn’t really want to serve or help us, there were just wondering around not doing much. We stayed for 2 nights and on the second morning we went to greggs at the end of the road for breakfast.

Staff were lovely, and it was immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious, and there were plenty of options. The location was great, with a view of the castle walls and a 2 minute walk to the cathedral. Really appreciate the book in the room with local places advertised. It helped us decide what to do, and we had a lovely time at the woodside Wildlife Park.

We didn't find the bed very comfortable, but that could just be personal preference, or it could have been the pillows. I paid to upgrade our room, but it didn't feel like it was an actual upgrade, just 1 chair for two people. The room was quite small. Getting around the bed and trying not to knock into the tv was a challenge. Another personal preference is that we would have appreciated a smart TV.

Excellent location, could walk easily and within a couple of minutes to Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral and Steep Hill. Breakfast had a choice of several foods, you could order a hot breakfast made to your liking. Free parking. Quick WiFi speed. Room was great though one of our single beds had a mattress that is due to be replaced (collapsing to one side). Cleanliness was very good. Don’t forget to walk out back of hotel and see a portion of the Mint Wall from Roman times. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Only negative was one mattress side has collapsed and due for replacing.

We booked the Saturday night through Booking.com. it was £130 for the king sized room including breakfast. Late on Friday, we decided to go a day early and book an extra night at The Castle Hotel. I’ve rang and there was two rooms available, not the room that would have on Saturday, so we have to move, but for the honeymoon suite it was only £115 for the night, which is a much nicer room with a chaise lounge and waterfall double basin in the ensuite. so, I will always ring up and book the hotel myself, in future, and not use Booking.com again.

Right next to the wall of Lincoln Castle, this hotel is also a mere five minutes walk away from Lincoln Cathedral. The area between the cathedral and the castle was a new part of Lincoln for me, and I found it just as fine as the better known hillside part of the town. The room we stayed in, right under the roof, had the kind of nooks, crannies, and beams that my wife and I both love, and was a delight architecturally speaking. Staff was helpful and friendly, room was clean and very comfortable.

Lack of staff meant no cooked breakfast was available. Continental was ok but it’s not the same!

Really good location, good carpark just across the road and onlly £9.50 for 24hrs. Quick check in and showed to our room we had booked a court yard view so not much to see but room was lovely nicely decorated and complimentary tea and coffee. We only stayed 1 night but found it very comfortable and excellent breakfast i had full English would highly recommend.

Wish i had booked a room with a view but it was only for 1 night and we was out most of the time.

From start to finish this was a wonderful stay. Booked last minute & first visit to Lincoln. Read reviews before we booked & those positive ones were spot on. Perfect location for everything (Literally a stone throw from the castle) The host greeted us with a smile & gave us all the information we needed. Straight away from the booking in area & small bar area we could tell the rest of the hotel would be just as clean. Our standard double room was everything we needed & although not huge we were only in there to sleep & get ready. Weather was very warm & although no air conditioning there was a fan which helped. Lovely good sized bathroom & great powerful shower. Plenty of tea & coffee stuff & always replenished when asked. Breakfast was included in our room rate & was delicious. Good choice & delicious. Service was great & thank you to the young lady who served us each morning. Extremely efficient & again nothing too much trouble. We didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel so can’t comment, however if breakfast was anything to go by then I’m sure it’s good. We loved Lincoln & it was a lovely 4 day stay. Shall certainly recommend & wouldn’t think twice to stay at The Castle Hotel again. Thank you to the owners & all your staff.

The staff were so friendly, explained things really well for us. The hotel is very clean and has lots of amenities, lots of different teas, milk, coffee and hot chocolate. Enough showering products available. Rooms are equipped with hair dryers, sufficient closet space, mirrors and sufficient charging ports

It would have been better if the breakfast was included in the price because the hotel is expensive anyways. £12 is a bit overpriced for breakfast.

Excellent location in heart of historic quarter. Comfortable and well-equipped room. Exceptional efficient and friendly staff. Excellent dinner menu at Reform restaurant.

Room was fine for one person but think a couple might find space limited for luggage and storage. Not a particular problem for me but the TV had seen better days. The windows and frames needed refurbishing.
