Fantastic service, friendly staff that went above & beyond to be helpful. Even offered & carried out the carrying of my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs. Special thanks to Jeoff, Conner, Arthur & Liz to name those whose names I got! & everyone else who, without them, wouldn't have made the exceptional stay it was! Definitely going back!

The stairs! Lol! But to remove them & replace with a lift would take away part of the character that makes the place what it is!

The staff were excellent Very friendly and helpful The hotel was clean the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable The hotel lounge was a great place to relax in with a Bar and T.V Ample parking space Only a 10 minute walk to the train station with access to Liverpool and Southport I will definitely be going back

The stay wasn't long enough

All the people who work at the Royal are so welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The food served in the bar was excellent. You need to go hungry! Service is also excellent. Both at dinner and breakfast there is a great choice on the menu. Location is excellent. A short walk to the beach and also to the station, for a regular train service to Liverpool centre. We always enjoy our stays at The Royal.

Pretty much everything! From the friendly welcome, the gorgeous rooms, the lovely view and the fabulous food - it was all spot on. Special thanks to Mel on reception who was really helpful and knowledgeable. We had a bar meal and the serving staff were excellent, then the same at breakfast. All in all, a very enjoyable stay with the whole party planning to recommend The Royal to everyone in the Isle of Man!

I really can't think of anything!

Friendly, comfortable and clean, The Royal was an excellent choice for our stay in Liverpool. The room was spacious, the staff helpful and the food plentiful and fresh.

Everything. A warm friendly welcome on arrival and help to the room with my luggage. The food was fantastic and the service from the staff was served with a smile. As a solo traveller I was made to feel comfortable and there was always someone willing to have a chat. It will be a place I will return to.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this warm friendly hotel

The room was a good size with excellent amenities. The bed was very comfortable with additional pillows and bedding available if needed. The bathroom again was a good size offering both a shower and a full length bath, heated towel rail and well lit mirror and sink area. The food from the main bar was excellent, offering a wide range of dishes including vegetarian, vegan, an array of salads and then more traditional meals. All fresh and good value for money. The breakfast was one of the best we've ever had, I'm definitely going to miss the poached eggs. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble. I would just like to make a special mention to Mel who worksl on reception, she went above and beyond to help us out of a difficult situation. Thank you.

Nothing, it was the perfect stay for us.

Although in an older building it felt perfectly maintained and with bags of character and being well decorated throughout, it had the perfect blend of ageless beauty and modern features. It’s location just off the beach and close to bars, restaurants and a station, if you want to go into Liverpool, it couldn’t be better placed. I even sat in the bar in the evenings which I never normally do when staying in hotels, because it felt so inviting, relaxing and comfortable.

nothing but if I had to pick anything I would say the floorboards were a bit creaky.

l love staying there, been a few times now. I use to live local but moved to Wales.My mother is in a nursing home in Crosby so when I visit l stay at the Royal hotel and it feels like a treat everything about it is great. I highly recommend saying there. Thank you to all the lovely staff for making me feel very welcome.

Some of the bar food could be improved.

Firstly the young lady on the reception, she was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble an absolute credit to the Hotel and its owners. The room was excellent, breakfast was well presented, hot and delicious.
