Easy check in, really nice decor and felt homely.

The shower seemed to flood the floor with poor drainage, puddles in the toilet area

The staff member who checked us in was lovely, she was very welcoming! The room was spacious.

The coffee machine only had 2 coffee pods for 2 people, I feel a kettle and coffee sachets would work better. There is no staff on site after the pub downstairs closes, the fire alarm went off in the morning and no one was available to turn it off. Guests were wondering around not knowing what to do?! Also due to lack of staff in the morning, we didn’t know how to check out! We were not informed that no one would be there (at 10:30am!) so we just left the key in the room and went home.

Location was convenient to the underground. Room was small but makes good use of the space - it was comfortable and cute. Nice to stay somewhere that doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter hotel room. We appreciated the espresso maker and bottles of filtered tap water. The bath towels are large, which is always a plus, and the bed is cozy. Plenty of good coffee shops in the neighborhood for breakfast, since it isn't served on site.

The room was cleaned only once in the 5 nights we were there, which would have been fine if there was a way to deal with the trash. There is only one tiny trashcan under the sink. It also would have been helpful to know the cleaning schedule up front. The pub closes fairly early, so there wasn't noise from the bar at night, but we could hear some noise from upstairs (not clear what was above us, since the pub was downstairs and the 4 guest rooms were all on the same floor).

Really nice and modern. Very friendly and welcoming staff too. Bed is super comfy! I'd definitely stay here again when I come back to London really nice hotel all round. Loved the DAB radio for the morning as well.

The bathroom is a wet room which I'm not familiar with so it was a bit odd getting a shower then having to lay a towel on the floor to do my makeup over the sink in the mirror but this is clear on photos so not misleading just felt strange The coffee machine was a nice touch however I don't drink caffeine so it would be nice to perhaps opt for decaf (I know this is me being picky but it really was not a dealbreaker!!)

We were visiting our daughter who was spending a semester in London and the location was ideal. The rooms were small but perfect for our stay, we booked 2 rooms. We also had our first Sunday roast at the pub downstairs and the food was spectacular. The wine & beer selection was also top notch. And I can’t say enough about the people - so accommodating and personable. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

Nothing, it truly exceeded our expectations!

We didn't meet anyone to receive the key to the room, which was a big plus, because we got in whenever we wanted.

The smoke alarm woke us up because they were working in one of the rooms. On other days they tried the smoke alarms in the entire hotel without announcing, the guy who was there for it even asked us if we were not announced. Also, you can hear the noise from the pub downstairs from some of the rooms.

Nice sized room. Nicely decorated. We slept well enough. The lady that showed us to the room was lovely.

Would have been nice to have a kettle as the coffee maker only made espresso. Also the bathroom had no door which was a little strange (the toilet did though). I imagine couples wouldn't mind too much but for anyone else it would have been better if the sliding door had been at the entrance to the bathroom rather than sectioning off the toilet.

Lovely independent pub with modern, clean rooms. The decor was really well thought out with attention to detail. We enjoyed our bar food and drinks downstairs and the staff were all friendly. A lovely place to stay, highly recommended and nice to support local businesses over chain hotels

nothing we didn’t like but the shower ‘room’ was tricky with two friends sharing a room - there was no way of hanging up a towel inside so you had to be comfortable getting in and out naked! The rug on the floor was lovely but a bit of a trip-hazard and you couldn’t open the shower door or room door without snagging it. That’s really picking fault though as the place was lovely and the price amazing for central London.

Great location for what we wanted, lovely welcome and comfy room and bed. V close to Farringon station so it's handy to get Thameslink to Gatwick. Walking distance to St. John restaurant (main reason for our visit) Lovely neighbourhood up by Exmouth Market Nice chilled out radio playing when we arrived.

Handsoap not topped up in bathroom but that's a very minor thing. We had a great stay overall

I love this building and the fact it was a truly boutique hotel with only 4 suites. The rooms are on the top floors of a stunning historic building with a bougie restaurants and bar downstairs. The property over delivered for me in London.

The property exceeded expectations. the only tiniest concern I had was when I was trying to arrange a 3am means to the train to meet an early flight the hotel said it didn’t help with those sorts of things. This was in contrast to the very personal interactions and service I had checking in. Otherwise flawless.
