The location is great, right beside multiple tube stations in central east London. The room is interesting with the foldout bed/bathroom unit - not to everyone's tastes but adds character to the room.

Some of the furnishings were a bit odd, the wooden 'easel' mirror was strange and honestly took up a bit too much room for just a mirror. A chair or something else might have made more sense. There was also a quite chunky light fixture attached to the end of the bed which is a strange place to put it - these are minor things! The toilet is also squished in between the sink and the shower, which may not work for everyone.

The location allowed us to catch multiple trains and buses to access the city. Whitechapel station- Elizabeth line gets you to and from the airport in alittle under an hour. Brick lane is nearby and exceptional for cheap eating options and street art. The 1 free drink tickets for not having housekeeping clean the room were also cool. Rain shower and bathroom space was a nice touch. Also, there is free coffee if you use the coffee machines in the hall. Wifi was exceptional

The TV in one of the rooms was faulty- it eventually got fixed 2 days before we left, the air conditioning in my room took 1 or 2 hours to fully cool down the room but it won't go below 20 degrees celsius- so if you'd like the room cold...avoid the summer, and there is one USB slot per person. I recommend bringing a Type G plug adapter or European plug with enough USB ports to charge all your devices.

This is our second time staying as a company and it was perfect for our work trip.

I had reached out via email and phone to speak to someone about my reservation before our stay and only received a reply on my first email which did not give me an answer to my question. I then emailed a few times trying to get an answer with no luck so I called, and the person on the phone told me I needed to email - but no one emailed me back. This was frustrating. I spoke also to Booking.com who confirmed that I needed to speak directly with the hotel to make any adjustments to my reservation or get questions answered.

The hotel was well placed with very friendly staff. We arrived early on our first day and they were very happy to safely store our bags until we checked in after our day out. Food is good value here, nice range and freshly prepared. We had our evening meal on day one and then breakfast during our stay. If you went away hungry, then you didn't ask! The bar has a good range with prices on a London average. Rooms are comfortable with a good sized shower and nice essential toiletries.

The coffee machine down the corridor was a long walk for late night and early morning drinks.

Hotel is 3 or 4 mins walk from Aldgate E tube, so great location for City or Stratford.... and direct line to Embankment/Westminster. Rooms vary in size, all well equipped and a little quirky in design. Bed huge and really comfy, aircon worked a treat... great bar area. Small car park for 20 quid a day out the back. Ideal stop.

Not really a didn't like..... our room was on end of a row, 234, so had a smaller window and was cramped. Was fine for our needs, but just bear in mind when booking. Also, no kettle.. BUT there is a great coffee machine on the floor... OK as I am happy walking looking dishevelled, but some may find this annoying.... lol

Lovely welcome and checked in fast and a little early bar area is excellent and relaxing room was clean and comfortable staff were friendly and nice breakfast was excellent great value for money . We used as a base for sight seeing and could walk to tower bridge maybe 15 mins max and tube station was a few minutes away as we went to abba easy and took about 15 mins max . Superb hotel and would stay again

Area opposite seems to be where local high rise residents use as outdoor space they weren’t noisey but left it untidy but council came each morning and cleaned it up

Staff were more than helpful! Room lovely and spacious, fantastic location and great breakfast!

I only have one TINY gripe... I don't know if there was a conference on the second morning I was there but there was not enough room in the breakfast space as a large area was closed off. This was not the case on my first morning. Staff were really helpful and I was allowed to take a plate of breakfast items to my room which was fine but if you had been there with a family (some people had to wait) .... I don't imagine this is a regular occurrence so it didn't change anything about my stay. I still had a lovely time! I would come back!

Surprised by the inside as the outside doesn’t do it justice! Lovely modern and welcoming. Staff were all very helpful and upbeat! We were there for 3 nights and I liked if you didn’t get your room cleaned they incentivised you with £5 off at the bar! Food was excellent.. nothing fancy but fresh and reasonably priced.

The outside looked uninviting. And the decor in the bathroom needed touching up. Also the toilet was very close to the sink not much room. Location felt a little rough, but it was very convenient for our needs, and we are country bumpkins!

Excellent location , 2 minute walk from Aldgate East and this station has 2 underground lines Central and Hammersmith & City. 10/15 minute walk to River Thames . Bedroom excellent with very modern bathroom , forest rainwater shower. Excellent finger touch lighting as bed side , hairdryer supplied with mirror close at hand . TV mounted at end of bed , Breakfast excellent everything freshly made and great choice and the staff were continually restocking. The staff were exceptional who were friendly helpful and eager to please. There was a great management presence at all times and they were hands on , mucking in with the other staff , clearing tables etc. Got to mention Greta who we met on day one of our stay , friendly polite enthusiastic and helpful. Also had a discussion with two of the management team Rezban and Thara both of whom ensured our visit was perfect. Nothing was to much . Some tips for you , there is fresh cold water available near the bar and also fresh coffee which you can take it away with you There is also a fresh coffee machine on every floor near the lift and again its complimentary . ( If you have a room near it might be a bit noisy but cant confirm as we were at the other end of the building. The hotel far exceeded my expectations and will book again and highly recommend

Only issue ( which is outside the hotels control ) was there a small park outside the hotel and at times there were a few people gathering who liked a drink or two but hey that's the same everywhere. Felt safe at all times
