The Location was lovely, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Very welcoming atmosphere and there was a starter pack for breakfast in the Lodge as well as an option to have breakfast in the hotel. Evening meals could be booked as well.

From the outside the lodges looked very run down and didn’t convey how nice they were on the inside. Attention to detail such as removing the bucket with cigarette ends outside the door would make a difference. Unfortunately the beds were very hard and the double bed needs to have a more supportive mattress as it was hurting my back by the end of the 5 days.

It was so comfortable, a home away from home. one night they lit the fire in the main room and we could have stayed there all night. Not sure what I was expecting about the food but it was exceptional. the staff were always on hand but not in an obtrusive way, every member of staff we met was lovely and friendly. There seemed to be people staying there that were repeat customers, there because of work, if I needed a place to stay for work I would definitely recommend it. we actually slept in the hunting lodge annex, very quiet and comfortable, we were only a couple but if we had been a larger group the separate lounge area would have been ideal. a real find and I would recommend if you want a simple, friendly comfortable place with excellent food - my wife suggested the potion sizes were a little large … but I felt they were perfect 😂

Very warm helpfull welcome. Very polite, friendly and helpfull staff (100%), clearly very well selected and trained to an excellent standard. Hotel has a lovely feel. Rooms to a very high standard of decor and heated on arrival. Bathrooms clean, spacious shower with great water pressure and showering soaps. Lighting was lovely in the room with plenty of lighting options. USB next to both sides of the bed. Wifi and TV of a very good standard. Food and service was first class. Lovely walk just to the rear of the hotel around the loch and area has a great history. Lastly it was good value for that level of quality and service. We were there for work in room 9 and it couldn't have been better. We will not look further for our next visit.

Absolutely Nothing. Zero. It was perfect.

Stayed one night with fresh, delicious dinner. Couldn't have asked for a nicer room, view or more efficient staff. Having some dietary requirements different from norm I asked in advance about dinner options and on arrival was presented with a complete menu tailored to suit my dietary needs. This is exceptional and the whole meal fantastic. We will visit again for dinner even though the venue isn't local to us, we are happy to travel for special occasions.

This is been very critical as to be totally honest. Everything was perfect 10/10 however the slightest flaw I have was the shower within the shooting lodge was on the week side but I am been overly critical with that for review but honestly was great kieth Shona the lassies everyone spot on. Food spot on. Price spot on. Location 👍

Oh wow! This fabulous hotel deserves all the accolades I can give it! The room was great. Comfy bed, excellent shower to wash away the aches and pains of amazing walks and hikes around this beautiful part of the world -and to wake up full of the joys … and step into their super dining room for a sumptuous and delicious breakfast (included in the price!) Unbelievable and worthy of Michelin STARS 🌟. We happy wanderers booked in for dinner every night we were there. Couldn’t resist the vast menu and the ambience. I’m not generally a foodie but this was a wonderful experience, not to be missed. Thank you 😊 CHEF. Thank you to all the pleasant and fabulous STAFF.

Good welcome by staff, attractive decor and atmosphere, comfortable room and lovely bed linen. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

Not quite successful conversion of shooting lodge property with creaky floors everywhere including hallway and stairs which made other guests arriving sound very noisy. Could have benefitted from carpets. Common lounge rooms in shooting lodge were very nice though.

We did not sleep well because something was scratching away in the roof. We told reception who informed us it was bats and she was not really bothered that it kept us awake . If we had been told about the bats beforehand (as the staff were aware of them and could have informed guests) we would not have stayed. Apparently there were no other rooms

We have stayed here before and our room was in the main building. This time, we had two rooms, one in the main building and one in an annexe. The annexe was not as good as the main building, the handbasin was in the bedroom, not in te shower room with the toilet but this was the only thing I was a bit disappointed with as I did not think this arrangement the most hygienic. Excellent value though for the price we paid and the staff were all brilliant.

We stayed in one of the lodges which was perfect for us as a family of 5 with teenagers. Comfortable if a bit compact. The welcome pack was lovely and we had ‘stovies’ as a special offer when we arrived which was most welcome as we were delayed and arrived with no provisions. We had a touch of snow which was lovely as we live in Sardinia and it was unexpected. We loved the wood burning stove. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. We mixed self catering with eating at the hotel which worked really well. The food at the hotel is very very good with plenty of local and farm produce. All the staff were lovely, hard working, pleasant, courteous and obviously a great ‘team’. We had some family affairs to attend so didn’t get to do as much sightseeing as we would have liked but there is obviously much to see and do. The lake behind the hotel is very beautiful and literally a five minute walk away.
