November 2024

Arrived late Friday 15th of November and was greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very polite and friendly .. well all staff were especially the two young girls in the bar ...who looked after me .. rooms were clean and spacious, and the stairs tested my fitness levels. Perfect location. Breakfast was fantastic every morning and piping hot . Can't wait to return but a different room so my liver isn't damaged 99.9% was perfect..

Was in room 18. Avoid if you can. It's over pub . Now it did say some rooms were above pub so I can't say I didn't expect it . It wasn't that bad as I ended up going next door to the pub and had a great night..so all in all that wasn't bad .Sadly food I got in the restaurant wasn't the best. I've got a photo of the burger but don't want to put it up .. as the chef may have just had a busy night and it was a bit late .

What a great place. We had a room with a lovely view and lots of lovely touches. The bed was very comfortable and although there was a bit of noise outside we were fine with this as the hotel lets you know ahead of time that this might be the case due to the location. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was great and well priced and we received great service. The breakfast provided was delicious and again excellent and attentive service.

The room we had no 12.was excellently situated overlooking the harbour. The room ,the bedding and en-suite were absolutely spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Really comfortable bed. Padstow is a lovely place anyway and is always clean and well presented . The choice of restaurants have reduced in number since my last visit but I suppose this was due to lockdown. Overall an excellent stay and we are planning a visit in September.

The choice on the restaurant menu for dinner could be a little more adventurous. Difficult to find a parking space near to the hotel during peak time for visitors

The room was large which is unusual for a 'pub' accommodation so this was a pleasant surprise. It had a lot of natural light and the shower gel etc were of a high quality (Elemis) The Pub is right in the middle of everything and overlooking the harbor so great location.

The bed was unfortunately very uncomfortable, it felt like we were sliding off throughout the night. Breakfast was a disaster really. Could have been fantastic however we waited forever and a day, we thought they were cooking it fresh so didn't say anything, it then came luke warm and not cooked well at all. Very disappointing.

The location is perfect, right on the harbour front, near all the amenities Padstow has to offer and opposite a public car park. Our room was small but nicely decorated and clean, the bed was really comfy and had good quality bed linen. The quality of the tea tray was excellent and we liked the addition of take away coffee cups. The member of staff who greeted us and showed us to our room was very friendly and welcoming, and the staff at breakfast were also friendly and relaxed and our breakfast was good quality.

The bathroom wasn't as clean as expected with dust around the skirting edges. It was difficult to control the temperature of the shower, it kept running hot and cold. The continental breakfast offerings were limited and I had to ask for bread but this was brought over quickly and it was fresh.

The shower pressure was amazing and the beds are super comfortable. We had a lovely view overlooking Padstow harbour and it was pleasant to walk around the village and see the sites.. we had dinner at the pub downstairs and Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant.. can’t fault this place at all.. so lovely. The only disappointment was we had to leave… definitely will return one day

Nothing… from check in to check out… everything was perfect.

From start to finish of our four night stay we enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast offered extensive choice and was swiftly served and top quality. Out for other times except dinner the first evening. Our choices were a beef pie and mussels. The former was the one let down but the latter the best I have ever tasted. The bedroom was spacious, the en suite full of towels and super warm and the bed a cloud of softness. Plenty of choice of in room non alcoholic beverages. Padstow at Christmas, sleeping off the tourist season yet with plenty going on. Bliss.

Having to pay for car parking but such a wonderful place.

The room was what we expected with some little treats. It was vey clean and the bed was comfortable. The meal in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were also excellent.

We were on the top floor and had to walk through many fire doors to get to our room. as it is an old building, there was no lift, so not suitable for disabled people or older clients. There was only the view of another roof next door which was disappointing. There was also no free hotel parking and had to pay in a public carpark.

The hotel had a good location. Our room was large and overlooked the harbour. It was nice to have a sofa as well as a big comfy bed. The room was clean on arrival and nicely decorated. Food was excellent- a fantastic breakfast menu accommodating vegan options and dietary needs.

Central areas were in need of redecoration, especially the hallways. Although our bed was remade daily and our tea and coffee refreshed, the room was not actually cleaned during our 7 night stay. I would have expected at least the bathroom to be cleaned once or twice in that time. The hotel makes it clear that they do not have parking available. However, at £8.80 per day for the nearest car park it would be great if they could negotiate and offer a discount to guests.
