The location in the heart of the village is fantastic. Close to the charming little harbor where the tides provide a great experience every day. The view over the bay from our balcony made our stay complete. All nice and good restaurants are within a short walking distance.

Our room was nice but very small and little space for your luggage. The narrow double bed was not really comfortable for us to sleep in. That couldn't be better given the layout of the floor. But it is something to take into account when considering booking here.

Room was nicely decorated, spotless and they catered for my gluten free and vegetarian needs as well as having soya milk. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies and bed and pillows very comfy. I would definitley stay there again if I went to Port Isacc again.

The location was lovely but I found there was not a lot to do so couple of days plenty to do the Doc Martin Tour and we saw some ladies singing on the night which was lovely. Not all places catered very well for someone gluten free and also vegetarian and disappointed lack of GF scones. It would have been nice to have a pizza place and more to do maybe arts and crafts, cornish cooking workshops that sort of thing.

Location was superb. We went to Port Isaac as were big fans of doc Martin and from the balcony in the room you could see the harbour, doc martins house and the school. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and the rooms were always stocked with bottled water and other amenities like tea/coffee and decaf options also. Breakfast was of the highest quality with a mix of continental and full veggie/ full English breakfast options. We really enjoyed our staff and if in the area would stay here again.

The walk from the car park to the hotel and back again. We should have got a taxi really as it’s a very steep incline.

The location is perfect for a visit to Port Isaac. The rooms are quaint and comfy, although the bathroom is 'compact' the decor and comfort was great. We had a balcony room (#1) which was lovely to get some fresh air in and sit outside and watch the world go by. It was only an overnight stay but well worth it to such a lovely spot. The staff went above and beyond to help. Remember to pack light as there is quite a walk from the public car park to/from the Slip Inn or if you're game you can drive down to drop off luggage but still have to park at the car park.

It is a beautiful quirky hotel in an excellent location. The staff are fantastic and the breakfast is delicious. The veggie sausages are superb, and I'm not usually a veggie substitute fan. They are like bubble and squeak in sausage form. If you are a Doc Martin fan, you are right in the thick of it here. It's a traditional old Cornish building, so not designed for someone over 6ft, so be careful. But it's a great hotel and the staff are lovely. Ebony in particular was very helpful and has great taste in music. Plenty of good places nearby, The Golden Lion and Black are both well worth a visit. Just bring some sturdy boots, as it's nice and hilly around there. Highly recommend a stay at the Slipway.

The location of the hotel was phenomenonal: being on the platt where the action was. We had a beautiful room with a balcony. The service was excellent. Steve checked us in and always had a friendly Hello for us. We saw him work very hard throughout the days we were there. The breakfast we had was delicious and in an unique and very bright room.

The only thing was that the bathroom was incredibly small. We appreciate that the building is historic and old and having an ensuite put in must have been difficult. But we regularly got scalded by the radiator when we bent over! We didn't mind the small bedroom as we got used to manoeuvring around the bed and we really enjoyed the beautiful views from the balcony. But we scored 10 out of 10 despite the size of the bathroom as everything else was exceptional. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

Quaint inn in a quaint town. The room was comfortable and provided everything we needed. Bathroom was tiny. Great breakfast offered a tasty way to start the day. Proprietors and staff were excellent, helpful and accommodating.

Bathroom in our room was quite tiny- really our only complaint. Car traffic can be a challenge in town. You would not believe that vehicles can actually fit on some of the narrow roads and when they do you best hug the nearest building! Part of the charm, yes, but something to be aware of.

We were the only guests staying at the Slipway for that night. The hosts remained opened on reception to show us around and came in especially for us to have breakfast (which was delicious and made to order). It's not possible to park here, but all of the information via Booking.com was accurate in terms of informing us of this, and where to park. The location was perfect for us as it was easy to leave the car and walk around the small village and harbour, as well direct access to the coastal path. The views from our room were beautiful and the room was well equipped and very clean

Slipway is a fabulous place to centre your travels for a couple of days. The friendly hosts made our 3 night stay so enjoyable. Super freshly cooked breakfast with excellent coffee and a harbour view from our room. Delightful. So much to see and do in and around the village Port Isaac. Excellent for Doc Martin fans.

Everything was amazing

The Slipway is close to all the sights and the water. We enjoyed being close to everything. The host was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The room was kinda funky with a great view. It was just ok, but clean.

Our room was on the very top floor and there were a lot of stairs to manage. That was ok, but the room had a very small sitting room with a little tv. The bedroom was fine. Essentially it’s a little sitting area with a bed, dresser, and a small bathroom. Nothing fancy, but adequate.
