The staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to give excellent service. Our evening meal at the pub was very good. There is a very smart shop attached to the pub that sells local produce.

In advertising photographs, the pub looks cosily traditional and it’s not obvious that it has been vastly expanded into a pub-restaurant complex. Our accommodation was in an annexe in the carpark and there was quite a lot of traffic noise in the morning from nearby road. It didn’t bother us too much but be aware that you won’t be getting a remote, traditional pub experience when you book this place.

Nice comfortable room, which was spotless clean, and in a great location, quiet and perfect for exploring the area. We really appreciated the great coffee/tea making facilities and the smart TV. It was also great having the pub so close, to have a drink at night and breakfast in the morning.

The pub opening hours were a bit limiting, with both breakfast and check out starting at around 9am, so it was not possible to leave earlier. Also, the shower gel was not enough for a two-night stay, and we had to repeatedly ask for a refill, which is not great customer service and slightly spoiled our experience in an otherwise perfect stay.

Staff were friendly, approachable, tentative and super efficient, nothing was too much and they all looked as though they enjoyed their jobs 😊 food was excellent and accommodation was fabulous. Facilities in the room were brilliant the only suggestion we have is maybe have a pillow menu in the rooms (eg feather, hypo-allergenic options etc), we’ve noticed a lot of establishments have started doing this. The pillows on the bed weren’t the comfiest of pillows but were ok for a one night stay 😊 overall we throughly enjoyed our stay all areas were clean, tidy and presentable can’t fault it and would definitely stay again. The room was clean and comfortable and, although attached to a pub, it was quiet and not over-looked. The furnishings were of a very good quality and the towels excellent. There was an air-conditioning unit in the room which was very, very quiet - always a bonus!

Very minor housekeeping touches - the shower gel container was empty and there was no fresh milk in the fridge, although this was promptly provided when I went to ask for it.

The room was excellent with plenty of space, a comfy bed & plenty of hot water. The restaurant was great with a menu that offered good variety. The gift shop was on-site & had lots of local items to choose from. The location of the hotel was perfect for our travels & the pricing fit really well into our budget.

There was a short walk from our room to the main hotel which was only an issue when it rained.

The room exceeded our expectations. Very clean and modern and room to move around in. A huge bonus in this area was that they have on-site parking. Several of the inns we stayed at did not and it was a big hassle. We also had breakfast there and it was excellent. If I was anywhere in this area again, I would definitely stay here.

We were upgraded to a self catering apartment above the pub, which actually slept 4 people, so as just a couple we had plenty of space and the facilities were lovely. Even a little village shop within the pub below our apartment.

We were delighted to find out that you served an evening meal from 5pm as we had to be at our evening meeting by 6.30 and not returing to Pityme after your restaurant had closed for the evening. It was also great to find out that you served breakfast until 11am as it meant we could have a lie-in and not have to rush in the morning. The breakfast was lovely.

Accommodating staff - we arrived quite late and the restaurant manager was able to save us some food. A really lovely room, with a comfortable bed, and a great breakfast.

Breakfast was not included in the price, but we knew that before we stayed there (which is quite an expensive addtional extra, but it was very good!). The room could do with some coat hooks, and a few additional hooks in the bathroom to hang wash-bags etc.

The bar area and outside facilities were excellent and the staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. Good value for money We stayed 3 nights and our room was lovely, tastefully decorated and clean. Good shower 🚿 Great location for Rock and Padstow

Generally nothing bad, the restaurant can get very busy early evening but not a problem if you book your table Food in the restaurant was ok, not exceptional but adequate.
