Views and room #7 was fantastic.

Breakfast was very limited and strict to only what the meal offered. You can’t try their warm oatmeal if you already selected another option. My wife ordered the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. It came out with one egg scrambled. The table next to use ordered the same and the pile of scrambled eggs was doubled if not triple the amount. This is why my wife wanted to try the oatmeal due to a smaller portion meal. She was told this was not allowed. Additionally we asked for a fresh coffee to take to the room. We were told to use the instant coffee in the room.

We loved our romantic escape to the Pickwick Inn. A true hidden gem! Our room was lovely, bright and large with fab views to Padstow over the fields. Our bathroom was also fab with a huge bath and shower. Food at Oliver's was also very good, not spectacular, but good all the same. The pub itself looks very cosy indeed. Things to note: You need a car as this is a remote location. All in all, would highly recommend for that naughty escape!

Bathroom supplies are just eco soap bars and while ok, could be done better with eco refillable pumps. Continental part of breakfast was a bit tired and could be improved.

Greeted on arrival and settled in, bowled over by the view and room. We booked the restaurant for the first night and enjoyed the meal and view from the table across the pool and beyond to Padstow/Rock. Food and service was superb. Retired to the room to enjoy the view and later settled on to the sofa to watch the big screen tv. It was like a home away from home and having access to the bar, restaurant, pool etc meant we could go sight seeing during the day and enjoy being at the Pickwick Inn in to the evening.

Being exceptionally picky : The milk pot at breakfast was chipped and the trendy dessert spoon was difficult to eat with due to it's shape. Toilet was the one which hangs off the wall and creaks and moves which makes it feel like it may fall off. Shower was lovely but not very powerful. Sink smelt (presume issues with the trap). One of the sofa chairs in the room had a wobbly leg. If I was to make the same detailed observations of any other establishment we'd be here all day so this says something about Pickwick Inn to be able to narrow it down so finely.

Pickwick Inn is a fantastic hotel to stay. We, Australian couple, had the fortune of staying for 4 nights. The staff were very welcoming & very hospitable. My husband stated the barman was friendly & helpful with local knowledge. Our hotel room was excellent, being spacious with a lovely view to the sea. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a fantastic large bath & very good shower with its powerful water pressure. We really enjoyed all the meals we had @ Pickwick, both from bar and restaurant.

No complaints at all ! You must stay if wanting to visit delightful Cornwall.

The room was huge and comfortable, the balcony was a bonus and the view was beautiful. We thought breakfast was good and enjoyed the meals we had in the restaurant. We stayed five nights and dined there twice.

I realise the hotel is trying to be green but we found the lack of toiletries etc. a bit annoying. The bar of shampoo left our hair feeling like straw so we had to go and buy conditioner, when the bar of soap ran out it wasn't replaced and there were no tissues. We also found it all a bit too hands off but that might just be our personal preference. Walking into the room on arrival without going to reception and doing the same when we left was fine, but not being able to set up a tab for drinks etc. or find anyone to ask if we had a question was less convenient. Those are all minor niggles though. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the Pickwick Inn.

Room was stunning, the view from our window across the estuary was beautiful, facilities are good tea, coffee & hot chocolate provided. We had a King size bed which was very comfortable, the decor is modern with the nicest bathroom we’ve ever had on our travels. The breakfast is great, hot food is cooked to order and very fresh, limited cold choices but that didn’t matter as the cooked breakfast was so good. Parking is right outside the accommodation which was convenient, will definately stay when we’re in the area again.

Didn’t really see a member of staff until we had breakfast, checking yourself into the room means you don’t meet anyone, not a big problem but it would be nice to make some contact.

The setting of the hotel is spectacular. Our spacious and thoughtfully-designed room with balcony afforded an uninterrupted view of the estuary which was still delightful even in atrocious weather. The extra-large bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of wardrobe space and a generous hospitality tray. Special mention should be made of the lovely bathroom which had a bath and a separate shower room with the easiest controls we've ever used. Breakfasts were delicious and generous in both options and portions. We ate twice in Oliver's Restaurant and, again, the choice and quality were excellent.

Service was rather slow on the second occasion we ate at the restaurant but maybe this was because our waiter was inexperienced.

We were given the a wonderful room with a view which we could have sat and looked at all day overlooking fields and the bay. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was 10/10, with a huge bath and wall mounted TV Stunning., We dined in the bar in the evening because we had the dogs with us but the view from the main restaurant is also breathtaking. Everything was perfect and we will be back

Not a lot really although an electric car charger for overnight charging would be an added bonus. The tennis court is out of action, not that it made much difference to us.

Everything about the hotel was perfect. It is set in a beautiful area with incredible views. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The bathrooms were exceptional with a fabulous big shower. The barmen were very friendly and helpful with advice on where to go. Overall it was a fabulous experience.

Nothing at all to dislike. It is a little out of the way which might not suit everyone but for us it was perfect

We stayed 2 nights and would have liked to stay longer. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable, bathroom was also large with bath and separate shower. The view is beautiful, sitting on the deck was so relaxing. The restaurant also has a gorgeous view and service and food was great. It is a great base for exploring the area, with Padstow only 15 mins away. We would certainly stay here again when visiting the area. You will need a car as the restaurant is the only facility in walking distance.
