Brilliant owners- very welcoming and helpful. Great location for the SW Coastal path, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Padstow, Newquay and local villages. Breakfast was great- lots of options and tasty food. The optional evening meals are basic but wholesome; it is a very friendly inn and popular with the locals. Parking was convenient. The room was quite dated but generally clean, well equipped and toiletries/tea & coffee provided. The room was spacious and the bed very comfy and lovely and warm- the heating was easy to use. Shower was lovely too! TV easy to use and ample sockets.

The bathroom could do with a heated towel rail as there is nowhere to dry these. Although generally clean, some of the pillow cases were stained.

the 2 bed apartment was large, spacious and with a small kitchenette. The Inn which was about 100 paces door to door was warm and inviting with a good bar and excellent food. Should we visit the area again this is the place we will check availability first and we have recommended it to our friends.

There is nothing we didn't like, but if I am being very picky all I can think of is that the beds was a but thin and springy for what we are used to. But these are not our beds and they was good enough to get a good nights sleep.

Location was perfect , staff very friendly and accomodating. Restaurant meals were great I had the lasagna, my wife had the beef curry and both meals were great. Room was a little small but understandable in an old Inn, though the bed was also small and the down side was the bed linen , not up to par with few stains on pillow cases and sheets. Though we would stay here again.

The bed linen with stains turned us off a little.

The quietness in our room. Bar full downstairs with teams, drinker's and diners. Staff really friendly, made us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the main door. Good food, reasonably priced. The breakfast choice 👍

The narrow roads to get back onto the main A roads. Low ceiling in the bathroom, kept forgetting it was sloping. Bumped me head a few times 😂😂 Only one choice of Real Ale being Doom(and Gloom)Bar 😁😢

This is a simple, affordable alternative to the many Cornwall B+B's and boutique hotels. Basic, clean, well located for the Heritage Coast, and wonderful cooked breakfast. If you book the right room [1, 2, or 3] you get away from above the pub, which was quite busy when we were there. While we didn't eat there the cost of a meal at the pub seemed a little less expensive than we had encountered elsewhere.

A little picky, but no power outlet in bath. Rooms very basic, plain and compact, with bed and closet, no chair, etc. in the less expensive and smaller rooms. Tinyest tv I have ever seem.

Adrian was there to greet me and made me feel comfortable about staying there. The room was very clean, bright and airy ( i had a front view with the sun greeting me in the morning). Lots of hot water and shower was very good. I had an evening meal of which my plate was filled to the brim, i could not fault. My dog was pleasantly accepted by all and we both enjoyed the use of the bar / food area. Breakfast was very good and although i am a coeliac the staff took great care of my needs. Everybody including Terry and the staff were very pleasant. Being a 1/4mile out of the town it was very quiet with ample parking.

Minor fixing of wood surrounding bath to floor and bathroom mirror which was partially lit all night. If you close the bathroom door then not a problem. No bed side lamp.

Ideally sited for Attractions, we visited Tintagel castle, Healeys and Bodmin Jail. All under an hours drive. There are plenty of walks, but remember Cornwall has plenty of hills and cliffs but the view are always worth it. Breakfast was cooked well and served promptly. We had dinner once there and it was very nice and the bar had a good selection of drinks and also a pool table.

The location and facilities were superb. The apartment had everything including a washer/dryer which was excellent. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and there was lots of information with ideas for places to visit and things to do

I’m reluctant to find any fault with my stay because everything was bang on. If i could make any improvement to my stay i would perhaps have liked a slightly larger portion size of my cooked breakfast but maybe I’m just greedy. The breakfast had everything i needed as a vegetarian but i did miss the hash browns if i had to nitpick.

Great friendly team, enjoyed an excellent home cooked meal and enjoyed breakfast the following morning. Convenient location for us to visit Tintagel Castle the next day.

The room was clean and tidy. We found the lack of a cupboard or even a rail to hang clothes a little disappointing. The bathroom was functional, but there was a fair bit of mould on the grout between tiles in the shower that needs sorting.

The place was well situated to see the surroundings and the staff were very helpful

We were four guests in a twin bedroom self catering property. However, there were not (initially) enough plates for four persons in the cupboard.....there were dirty cups etc in the sink when we arrived......and there was only one toilet in the property we had - which did cause some dificulties.
