Wonderful reception upon arrival - before my wife and I got out of the car, one of the owners was walking to greet us. She escorted us to our lodge and explained the room, the local area, and the amenities on offer. The room itself was in top-notch condition, there was ample parking, the breakfast - included in the price - was very generous. I will be staying here again when I next visit Rye for work.

I am a creature of comfort and I enjoy a long soak in a power shower. The lodge i was in did have a shower, but it's by no means a power shoer - that's the only fault in the room. Even then, the bathroom and facilities were outstanding, so this is me really reaching for a fault..

Everything. The hosts were just lovely and we had such a nice chat. Very friendly and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a nicer welcome. Not only that but I was offered breakfast in bed for the following morning which was just a real treat for me. The room itself was so lovely and private and very very clean. Bed was very comfy, facilities were all perfect. The location was stunning and the local pub where I went to see a band with some friends was also superb. So I'm booking it again ASAP. It is now my own little retreat!

There is nothing not to like. Not. A. Single. Thing.

I try to stay at the HnH anytime I visit Rye for business. I'm glad that I do, as I'm always satisified with the room. The owners are very polite, the amenities are superb, and it's great value for money.

Perhaps more 'turn in...' signs on the main road. The road the HnH is on is - I believe - a 50, and the welcome sign for the hotel just suddenly appears with no time to brake and turn safely. I had to drive further down the road and turn around to enter, as the hotel appeared after a bend without much warning. Perhaps some 'HnH hotel 50 metres on right' etc signs?

Spent 2 nights at the Hare and Hounds b&b and can not fault it 1 bit.The rooms went well beyond our expectations clean and spacious..The hosts couldn't be more helpful and the breakfasts choice were great.Theres a bus stop on the road which we used to go to Rye it has a app so you can time it perfectly .If ever in Rye will look at booking here. Especially if you don't want to be staying right in the town centre .Highly.recommend the Hare and Hounds

Honestly nothing comes to.mind

Stayed in the Shepherds Hut and it was delightful. Easy enough to settle in, fairly quiet. Good pubs nearby. Very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend and not often I would stay at the same place again, but this place I didn't want to leave.

Only tiny weeny thing was the little sink in the shower room, nothing wrong with it but size of it made washing my mouth out a very conscious action so I didn't spit onto the floor or my feet but is by no way a game changer or something I didn't particularly like.

Great host- very personable & helpful. Breakfast was very good - we chose traditional English breakfast. Great coffee & decaffeinated was also available. Lovely beamed breakfast room with inglenook fireplace. Good location on the outskirts of Rye. Super walk across the fields & woodland to reach the centre of Rye. Equally accessible by car or local bus (bus stop outside the property). Plenty of advice given on walks, places of interest & where to eat. Very pleasant bedroom & ensuite.

Road noise can be a bit intrusive. The hosts do as much as is possible & practical to ease this.

Excellent location with many places of interest within easy reach. Very close to beautiful countryside, and the lovely beach at Camber. Our room was clean, comfortable and really well presented with good attention to detail. We appreciated the tea & coffee making facilities and the nice homely little touches. Plenty of parking on site. The host, Harriet was really welcoming and friendly, and the veggie breakfast was delicious! We had a really enjoyable one night stay. There is a very good pub serving excellent food and a great vibe very close by - The Kings Head. There is another pub serving food within walking distance, but we did not visit.

Possibly a king size bed may be preferred by some couples, but really only a very minor point to mention.

The location was beautiful, countryside all around, our room large, spotlessly clean, warm and with everything you could need. Our host was very friendly and helpful, we asked to stay an extra night which meant changing rooms, she moved all our luggage for us and it was ready when we returned at the end of the day.

As it was out in the country we did find it slightly difficult finding driveway in the dark - maybe some reflectors either side?

Harriett the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of the accommodation was exceptional . I had the Shepherd's hut and it was so inviting and the bed was comfy and cozy. There was everything you needed for a long or short stay. With a supermarket just a few minutes drive down the road. I enjoyed lighting the woodburner and toasting marshmallows after a good day down on Camber Sands which is just a short drive minutes away. Will definitely be back again.

There was nothing wrong with our accommodation or the site which we were staying on. But one sad thing was that when we went to park at Camber Sands the council want £30 a day and £19 for not even half day after 3:00 PM, which in my opinion is extortionate.

Good, clean, comfortable. Bathroom nice and modern, bedroom comfortable, country furnishings in keeping with location and style of property. Really liked it was self contained with our own code and front door, separate from the main house and lovely little private garden area. Great parking on site. Owners are absolutely lovely and very welcoming. Good breakfast selection included in the price.

Not much to dislike at all …. Bed was comfortable but two singles put together instead of a double. Breakfast fell bit short for us, brilliant selection but not cooked how we like eggs and bacon, in fairness we can be bit fussy eaters!
