The room: the shower, the paintings, the little fridge, the comfy bed. All so clean and tidy. The quick responses and friendliness of Wayne , ( he kindly agreed to let us check in a wee bit earlier) the tasteful conversion of these old buildings and the adjacent 16th century main house. The sweet little garden. Nice pub just over the road for meals and coffee etc. Such good value for money too. Would defo stay again.

The smoke alarm went off three times during the night. Not a biggie though. Only for about 10 seconds each time though. This means that we overslept! Not a problem but Was just concerned this meant we would inconvenience Wayne as we had to check out half an hour past the allotted time but Wayne was typically nice about it.

The property was spotless! A spacious room with comfortable mattress, alongside a modern bathroom and warm powerful shower. The property was quiet and the surrounding area well kept. We were provided with a code to access the gate at anytime to exit the property. Wayne welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable, he advised us of the Wi-Fi code and how to access the heating and underfloor heating. Selection of muffins and croissants, variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate and a fridge with bottled water was included in our stay. Kettle, microwave, hair dryer and iron available too. Extra blankets and plenty of towels in the room too. I ran out of sweeteners, and Wayne was there in an instant! A very welcoming and helpful host.

Travelling down to the venue, I encountered some traffic diversions which ended in my arrival being after 2100hrs. I updated Wayne along the way and he text me details of how to access the property if I was late which were easy to understand and comprehensive. On arrival, Wayne came out anyway to greet me and introduce the room. He was very friendly and personable, despite keeping it brief due to the advanced hour of the day. The room was immaculate, and the attention to detail remarkable. It was outfitted with everything you could need for a functional and also very pleasant and comfortable stay. The room was perfectly quiet, leading to an excellent night sleep. The location was beautiful and also secure. If travelling this way for work again I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Served as a perfect half-way location on my trip home. The hosts were very accommodating with excellent communication both before and during my stay. A charming property in a lovely, little village. The decor and old-fashioned beams were lovely features. Despite breakfast not being a feature, some food and water was provided by the hosts.

If I was being really picky, the shower. The temperature shifted between too cold or too hot. It was tough to find the right setting, but this was by no means a deal-breaker. You can also hear some of the traffic from the nearby main roads.

Our room was perfect for our requirements. We’d requested two twin beds through booking.com but the room actually only had one king size bed, however Wayne was able to make up a single bed for us too, so no problem. It was spotlessly clean and the decor was really nice. Comfy bed and decent sized towels. The shower was amazing. Really powerful. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room. TV, which also had access to Netflix. Wifi worked well. The location was perfect for a funeral we were attending. We were able to park right outside our room. The kitchen facilities were great, and it was well equipped…..fridge, microwave, cooker, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, meaning that after a long tiring journey up there, we were able to make ourselves something to eat rather than have to go out again. Pan au chocolate and muffins were available for breakfast, and all sorts of tea, herbal teas, coffees, and hot Galaxy. Really impressed to be honest. Enjoyed our short stay and would definitely return if we were up that way.

Really can’t think of anything, except maybe a kitchen roll or dishcloth……just to be able to wipe down the kitchen worktop once we’d used it…..but I’d taken kitchen roll with me. (There was a brush to use in the sink so it really wasn’t a problem).

Very clean, plenty of space to relax and the little extras, such as teas, coffee etc were most welcome. Lovely bathroom and good shower. The owner was very helpful and welcoming.

Everything was great, but some bowls and cutlery would be good. I took microwave oats for breakfast but could not eat it as there were no bowls or cutlery. I brought them as I knew that there would be a microwave and a fridge for milk. A small teacloth for drying cups etc would be helpful. We had a Microwaved curry one evening, and fortunately I had some plastic forks to eat it with.

Wayne the manager/owner was very helpful and asked if there was anything else I required. It was only a short stay for me but the bed was comfy, the heated bathroom floor was a luxury. It was spotlessly clean, fresh towels and even had some snacks a cold water left for me. I operate a compact crane which I parked outside with confidence as the entrance had a coded gate so it felt safe and secure overnight and they even let me charge it up with an outside electronic c point.. great value for money and will be top of my list when I’m back in the area. We were met by the host and were showed all we needed to see. The room was absolutely stunning it was clean and smelt lovely. Really high standard of decoration and beautifully finished. The facilities were all we needed and more besides. Good shower, lovely TV, lots of little touches including muffins and croissants so we had something for breakfast. Absolutely loved our stay here and will be visiting again. Quiet and peaceful despite being near the road. Good secure parking too! A real credit to the hosts.

Everything. The muffins and pain e chocolat were a great touch. Lots of teas, coffee, choclate to satisfy all tastes. Lovely room. All needs catered for. Microwave, kettle and small fridge. 9 towels in shower room. Spotless throughout. Wayne very friendly. We didn't see Caroline. Lotd of parking. Community shop at back of Red Lion pub across the road had mostly all you need for a small shop including papers. We would return to Hunt house quarters if in area. All in all a great place to stay.

Hunt House Quarters is situated in a very peaceful location. Wayne is a great host, welcoming and friendly. He even gave us a lift to the restaurant in the evening as it was pouring with rain. The microwave is a useful facility and we were very grateful for the snacks provided as we hadn't had time for lunch. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Secure free parking is a bonus. This is our second visit to Hunt House Quarters and it is the only place we would stay when visiting the area again.
