Great choice of menu items for breakfast and beautifully presented good tasty food. The wifi was very good, nice clear information well presented in a folder in the room. Nice hot shower,with good pressure. Very welcoming staff at all points of our stay.

Our room didn't have any views as the en suite had the main window, which was unusual in that we had to keep the sliding door open a bit to get some air circulation. Although a powerful fan was already in the room which helped. The bathroom light was only operated by a sensor so we left the mirror light on which stopped it from putting the light on if you moved in bed. Not perfect but, not the end of the world either!

Everything! The location is perfect if you want peace and quiet! For an Inn, you have everything you need here. Parking is safe and close. I haven’t normally chosen an Inn to stay in but I’m pleasantly surprised. The Castle Inn is between a hotel and home - it gives a home from home feel. I haven’t felt more at home being away from home until my stay here. The room I checked in to is of a generous size, is also light and airy. The bed is super comfy, and the room is very clean. Attention to detail is in the small things. The room has an iron and ironing board, an electric fan should it be too hot (summer), a well stocked tea tray is provided with a wide selection of coffee, tea herbal/regular and hot chocolate options. The Tv also has a full selection of sky channels to watch. The shower bathroom is an en suite and is enormous compared to other places I’ve stayed in. The staff are friendly and helpful and to be honest it’s such a pleasant change to have the personal person to person contact that seems to be disappearing in recent times travelling from place to place. As for the food menu there is nothing to fault so far. I was super impressed with the chicken pie and seasonal vegetables- I’ve never tasted a pie so scrumptious. Due to my late checkin time on a Sunday the kitchen was closed for the Sunday roast menu….I’m gutted I missed it, but if I were to review their recommended roasts either by the attendance or by the aroma - I can tell they are clearly as good as the pie! The complementary breakfast that is included in the room rate is fantastic. Choice of cereals, yogurts, toast, a wide variety of hot breakfast options and many hot and cold beverage options are available too. There is so much food to choose from. I mean for the room rate this is exceptional value! I’ve enjoyed my stay here so far and have even extended my stay as I liked it so much. One night stay has already turned into a 3 night stay. A little gem!

Loved my stay - very comfortable and lots of character. The pub was lovely and in a quiet little town, perfect stopover for my South Downs Way walking trip. The room was a great size, the staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was really delicious (as was the dinner I ordered in the pub the night before). Also very handy/clever phone chargers from the lamps which saved needing to find plugs/unplug lamps.

My room was a little cold overnight and the radiator didn’t seem to have a control, but it’s fair to say it is that unusual time between Winter and Spring where the days have started to get warmer. There was a small electric heater I found in the cupboard which helped temporarily.

The location was absolutely lovely and it was convenient for Brighton and Worthing. We were running the Brighton Marathon and could not find a hotel in Brighton and decided to look a bit further from the city and made the right choice

The pub/restaurant closed on sunday and we did not know. It would have been nice to know in advance. Also when the pub/restaurant was closed, we could not contact anyone to ask for towels or report a problem. Also, a few runners were staying there, it would have been good if breakfast would start earlier (same time as monday-friday).

Stayed here whilst in a business trip to Brighton and the location of this place is great as is only 20 mins from Brighton and Hove, near the town of Steyning. Extremely friendly staff made check in quick and easy, and the room was clean, fair sized and very comfortable. The room contained the usual amenities you'd expect, TV (with sky) kettle, tea and coffee etc. The double bed was comfortable and I got a very good night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and the shower had very good water pressure and was hot. I enjoyed the breakfast the following morning. There is a variety of continental fare and also cooked breakfast options. I opted for the cooked full English breakfast and it was delicious. Should I venture down this way again, I will seriously consider the Castle Inn Hotel again as I was extremely pleased with the whole experience

Friendly staff, small but clean and comfortable room . The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot (eventually). We stayed for 2 nights but didn't have an evening meal as we were meeting family members in Henfield. Breakfasts were very good, and the dining room is clean and spacious.

The shower was hot, but only after a very long wait - 5 minutes or more. I think it may be helpful to inform guests of that when they arrive. The same applies to the tap over the bathroom sink. I slept really well, but on both mornings I was woken up by people who were very early risers (staff?) I e. 5.30 am. The people weren't exceptionally noisy, but the hotel is very old, and the floors creak.

Rooms were very clean and tidy, beds very comfy, I thought we might miss dinner as we were slightly delayed getting there so I phoned ahead to let them know that we might be a little late arriving but we would like to have dinner if at all possible. The staff were very accommodating and were happy to hold the kitchen open to allow us to order food. Thank you so much.

The only down was the fact that at breakfast my son ordered scrambled egg and it arrived as an omelette.

Set in the beautiful village of Bramber, I would strongly recommend The Castle Inn Hotel, whether you are travelling on business or just for leisure. There are so many positive things to say about this hotel, including a friendly welcome, a clean bedroom (with air conditioning!) and fantastic breakfast delivered with a smile. So if you are looking for a family run business away from the mainstream hotels in the Brighton area, this is the hotel for you.

I couldn't fault anything.

We loved everything about our visit - the third time we have stayed there and it seemed even better this time. We are planning another short visit before Christmas. We visit an elderly friend in a nursing home in Shoreham - just a few miles away - and the countryside is as beautiful as ever. We were both born and bred in Sussex 80 plus years ago so we know the area well. The dining room where breakfast and dinner are served is fantastic - spacious, beautiful, bright and sunny with many interesting pictures on the walls and on top of everything else the staff as usual were very attentive and polite. The chef - Lewis - has to be named and congratulated - the food he produces is wonderful, beautifully presented with lovely fresh vegetables and always piping hot. I could go on but I will end up boring you!

Nothing can be done about the two flights of stairs we had to climb (as before, so we knew about them) but we soon got used to the exercise and it was fine. We'll hopefully keep going for a few more years yet.

We met my daughter for evening meal and the food was good. Waitresses were attentive but we needed more time between clearing & serving etc. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with many choices. My wife's Salmon was huge. Plenty of coffee, toast etc.. We have stayed in better quality hotels, but the service & comfortable appeal was second to none.

2'-6" beds were to small for me to turn over in the night, without falling out. That was the only issue we had.
