A good sized bedroom and bathroom with reasonable space for surfaces. The manager was on site and me me the next morning to iron out the very few little issues that had arisen such as requesting fresh towels and replacing a light bulb. Overall the staff were able to deal with questions and clearly had experience in hospitality. A welcome change from so many corporate establishments when you find the young staff are overwhelmed by their jobs.

The location is not very scenic, being within an industrial estate. However, the price reflected this and I felt perfectly happy with the facilities

After checking in, I found a few small issues and was able to speak to the manager personally straight away who was respectful and arranged any changes she had said she would. It was a plus to find this hotel employs staff who are not barely out of their teens or trained to be “corporate”. Thus, they have the confidence to deal with issues using their own initiative and provide credible answers! I really appreciated a reasonably sized bathroom with flexible shower hose. And lots of lighting and mirrors. Other hotels can be stingy with both! There was always ample parking right outside the accommodation.

The TV did not manage to pick up a number of Freeview channels, though I know that after I raised this with the staff, they did what they could to improve the service, and changed my remote control which helped. We were fortunate with the weather in that it was cool for the time of year, since the window would only open a tiny bit; we would otherwise have had trouble sleeping. (NB: The windows need to have limited opening as they look straight out onto an open walkway so there could be a security risk there. But we had absolutely no incidents.) One tip; bring an electrical extension lead and USB adaptors.

I was a bit surprised to find this nestled in an industrial estate but thinking about it, that means no noise at weekends or evenings. The place is like an American motel, which i found quite charming. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample space. Despite being off a main road there was no external noise and I didn't hear anything from the neighbouring room. Would definitely recommend for a good night's sleep.

Breakfast seemed a bit pricey at £12 if not pre-booked and I didn't want to take a chance on it being ropey, especially as a vegetarian. No aircon but, hey, this is Britain! - but a fan in the room would've been good, although they may have had one at reception as they had other things such as irons, ironing boards, etc.

This is a budget hotel, but we have stayed here a few times now when looking after grandchildren. It is located in an area of warehousing etc but you wouldn't know it. It is clean, quiet and with better beds than some more expensive hotels. You have your own entrance door to the outside with a grassed area (if on the ground floor). My husband had breakfast and and said it was hot and surprisingly good. They offer some basic meal choices in the evening and we have experienced far worse. The staff are also very pleasant and friendly.

Nothing really, but our last room had some tile grout that needed a little attention.

The hotel was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities. The staff are pleasant. Restaurant only open Monday to Friday not a large menu but food okay. Everything has to be paid for with credit or debit card even drinks or buying a bar of chocolate! Bus stop for city centre quite close by but buses can be unreliable we waited for well over an hour as one bus didn't turn up. Bus fare £2 per person per journey, so a taxi for a couple or more people is a better choice.

The hotel is on an industrial estate so the surroundings aren't pretty.

Everything was fine for a budget room and was akin to an American-style motel (very reminiscent of a Motel 6). The decor was a bit dated and in need of a bit of attention but you get what you pay for. I was really very impressed that in a 2 night stay, the room was cleaned and refreshed, coffee and tea replenished and towels changed on the second day ; I've never had that in a Travelodge or Premier Inn so kudos there. I thought that sort of thing had died out. Area nice and quiet and lovely views if you like industrial estates.

I would like to have seen suspicious characters in the car park and the sound of drive-by gunfire so that I could truly imagine that I was in a Motel 6 in L.A. :)

really enjoyed it here . it’s really quiet as it’s just out of the centre of town but close . The rooms are separate from the reception / restaurant so it’s really quiet . the rooms are quite nice , much better tuwb I expected after reading some reviews, easily nicer than hotels I’ve stayed in recently that cost more . bathroom is spacious . everything is always really well cleaned . the staff are awesome and always have a smile . stayed 2 weeks all together as I had to extend my stay. . these are the most comfy beds and pillows out of all recent hotels I’ve stayed at . I wish I could take them with me . nice warm heater in the room . if I’d paid double for what I was paying per night it would still be good value . hope to return soon

The location is very quiet albeit quite unusual, in that it seems to be within an industrial estate. It is excellent value for money and it best considered "as a motel", ideal for an overnight stay. It is more than walking distance from the town centre. There is a carvery about 10 mins walk. Breakfast was okay, you have to order the cooked element the night before.

Some people might not like that you cannot walk into town and it's location within the industrial estate can seem a bit "off-putting".

Liked the bath, and the mirrors and lighting in the room were good. It was quite quiet and restful. There were extra pillows and a hairdryer. The breakfast was good, pleased you have a bar although we did not use it on this occasion.

The toilet seat was broken on arrival which we didn't bother about but informed the staff on leaving. There was at one point when we returned to the room after breakfast a very bad smell like sewage but it only lasted for ten minutes. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable for me overnight, it seems to have springing in it which presses into my side when sleeping. So improvement would be made by checking items like toilet seats and getting better mattresses. No idea about the smell but perhaps it should be looked into.

Your survey is based on my stay, which was good.

So on arriving at the hotel, the young lady at reception was extremely rude. My mistake was that I didn’t remember if I had booked the 2nd room with my brother in law name. She was extremely rude, and when I questioned her, a guest got up and told me not to be rude to her. I had no support from the lady at reception. I had driven 3 1/2 hours from London, to receive this on arrival/check in. This basically ruined the evening. I actually apologised to the lady when we came down for a drink. I think this was unacceptable at all levels.
