It was right in the heart of Windermere so it was easy to get to the lake and local shops. It came with a double bed plus a single so you’ve an option of how you choose to sleep. The room was really Clean and the bed comfortable and warm which is perfect for this time of year! And the hotel is quiet with no building or construction in the area to get a perfect night sleep!

I couldn’t complain about anything it was really affordable and great value for money. The towels provided were large bath sheets which often you don’t get in hotels! If I had to have a moan about anything it was the shower was on the small side and no shampoo provided but there is a local Sainsbury’s so isn’t a problem really!

We love windermere. We love Rayrigg villa. The room was perfect for us. Staff was kind and friendly..

It would be great to have the kitchen towel paper back again. The electric shower did not work very well and sometimes the water was so hot. It would also be great to write a kind note in the kitchen: "Please be considerate to others on the use of the kitchen table and avoid overbooking the kitchen for longer periods of time", some people were sitting there more than 2 hrs and reserving the table without using it, just leaving food over the table while waiting for others.

The property was in a great location around plenty of shops bars and restaurants, 5 minutes away from bowness pier and the Beatrix potter attraction, the villa is lovely, very clean and even smells amazing! Kitchen and laundry facilities are a fabulous addition! Never stayed anywhere with that before, we booked a triple room and were delighted that we had an extra lounge type area and big bathroom, the room is lovely and very cosy, beds super comfortable! I will recommend to anyone who will listen and will definitely be a regular visitor in the future 🫶

I liked the location . The simplicity of the booking check in and out! And the use of a communal kitchen area and washer dryer machine !

I had the family room for myself and small child !! It was very small. Even for the 2 of us! A family of 4 would be very uncomfortable. The loo and shower!! Tiny! And not fit for purpose! I would bang my head going to loo! And cleaning teeth couldn’t be done over the tiny sink! Shower ok but again tiny!! Rooms aren’t cleaned ! Every day ! We had a hoover once ! And bins taken out.

The villa was in the perfect location for exploring with our 3 year old. Lots of cafes, pubs, shops on the doorstep and only a very quick drive down to the lake. It would have been a lovely walk down there only for the snow the weekend we stayed we felt it safer to drive. The room was clean, the decor could do with a touch up (wall paper peeling slightly etc) but nothing that affected our overall stay.

You could hear noise from the other rooms however this was nothing terrible and didn't happen through the night.

Location was great Good value for money Ease of collecting key Staff communication was great with emails so we knew what we were doing

Sink,had toothpaste all over it and dark hairs which was such a shame Bed,not very comfortable for me I should have checked the location of the room, we were on the top floor which isn't very good for me as I'm not very mobile but that was my fault for not asking we were in room 5 which is 2 flights of stairs. We were only there for 1 night as a stop over

Excellent value accommodation, in Windermere Town centre. The "shared kitchen facilities" well equipped and suited our needs/requirements. Our room was well equipped and clearly suited our needs for our entire visit.

We had been allocated "room 5" on the top floor, which provided challenges due to my physical restrictions, but my wife and I managed. It is worth mentioning to anyone else perhaps in a similar position, but as I say, we managed "with consideration. Please note that this statement in no way applies any negative impact to "what we did like above!" Nor did it have any negative effect on our visit to Windermere that we would not rebook/revisit. The only impact was during the arrival, unpacking/packing of the car phase, etc!

Lovely stay at Rayrigg. It was great value for money. The room was clean and had everything we needed. I’d read other reviews about the mattresses being uncomfortable but we actually found the opposite in room 1, it was very comfortable. The location was great. The lady who runs the b&b was very helpful and let us leave our bags as we’d arrived early. The bathroom had a decent enough shower and was very clean. Having breakfast included was really great for the price. Would definitely stay again.

This didn’t affect us at all as we don’t mind noise and weren’t disturbed at all but room #1 is right on a busy street and there is outside noise so if someone is a light sleeper or particularly affected by noise this may be a concern. It’s also right by the front door and staircase so there is some noise from that too.

My 2 friends and I loved the location of this bnb - it was so close to many cute shops, restaurants and busses/ trains. The view from our window was also lovely as it captured the autumnal vibe :) I think it was extremely good value for money and I would stay here again!

The bathroom was quite small for three people sharing and I wish we had a bit more space to hang some of our clothes, but overall for a short stay, it ticked all the boxes!

We booked very last minute and had excellent communications from the property straight away. Check in was very easy because of this. We stopped in room 1. Which was situated downstairs and at times we had a little bit of noise, but realised we had the window slightly open all night 🫣. The room was comfortable and clean with an ‘ok’ shower. Location is perfect and managed to park right outside.

Nothing really we would stay again.
