Small family run hotel in the centre of Windermere town. Beds were really comfortable. The rooms were clean and breakfast was top class. Location was perfect. Staff worked together very well and were really friendly and helpful. Lovely homely atmosphere in the bar with good food and large outdoor garden terrace area.

Parking was really the only issue. Parking outside the hotel during the day is short term only (1 hour from 9am to 6pm) so ok for drop off and collection. For more long term parking you must use the railway station or Broad Street car parks for a fee. Both are just a short walk away. Parking is generally an issue in Windermere and only a handful of hotels in the town have their own parking areas. All that said we didn't find it to be a major problem. We parked up and didn't need to use our car again for the whole visit. The bus service around is brilliant.

Fantastic host who couldn’t do enough to make stay that extra bit special. Fab location and spotlessly clean. Tasty breakfast too! Room was good size and bed very comfortable. Great base whilst visiting the Lake District. Thanks for a lovely stay and will return soon.

Stayed here twice now and the staff are lovely. Breakfast is spot on too. Location is perfect for us with getting the train and more than happy to walk to Bowness and back.

This room was a little more tired than the last room I had and the mattress wasn’t the best.

Very spacious, friendly staff, clean facilities, its a 30 min walk too windermere lake, away from noise but close enough! The breakfast is bloody brilliant!

Lack of parking is only let down but it’s understandable, parking is hard at best of times and its on a main road (tho its nice and quiet in rooms, we were outside the road and wasnt bad at all!)

Centrally located with easy access to bus and train to all key locations. Family room was clean and bed was comfortable. Cumbrian breakfast was excellent and especially loved their beer garden. Staff was courteous and friendly. Overall a fine experience and would definitely recommend.

Only 4 coathangers in wardrobe. Chest of drawers would have been useful. Housekeeping a bit slapdash but think they were understaffed

the property was in the perfect location and was clean and tidy. the staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much. trouble even storing an electric cool box for us as we couldn’t check into our holiday accommodation until 4pm. breakfast was lovely and served with a lovely morning greeting

Meals where good value for money. Beer garden was lovely to sit and relax in. En-suite bathroom was really nice and spacious.

Bar area was a little tired looking, needs a little brightening up and lamp shades around bar and dining area look like they need replacing.

Owner/Host Kaz was lovely, warm and welcoming. Location is perfectly centered near shops and restaurants and a short walk to the railway station. Breakfasts were generous, delicious and gave a good start for our days of hiking in the hills above the lakes.
