The dinner was very tasty. The spa was nice . Very nice hotel.

Difficult to connect to Wi-Fi because after registration you need to approve your email address. But how to open my email to approve if I don't have Internet? Little bit problems in the restaurant- we book a table for dinner but when go there was not available for any reasons and we needed to wait. Firstly no attention from anyone so we needed to find someone and asking. Next day same issue for lunch. When we went at the restaurant nobody was there. So around 10 minutes maybe more we was waiting and looking for any staff to ask how we can eat in the restaurant . Nobody was there even on the reception. After that we was waiting long time to prepare food - nobody else was in the restaurant only three of us. And in the end they bring us wrong food - not what we was ordered.

Clean. Comfortable and ideal location to clumber park and being able to go for a walk. Breakfast was good.

Laminate in the room says food available till 9pm then we were told it was 7.45. It says 7.45pm for room service but then on the laminate it says no room service so communication not good. If we were told on checkin that food finished at 7.45pm we would have got there earlier. When checking out I had to search the hotel for a staff member. Eventually found a chef in the kitchen who went and got someone at which point there was loads of them that came in so I guess they were on a cigarette break which isn’t great at 11am when everyone is checking out

The body massage was excellent, probably the best I’ve had, so relaxing. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the helpful bar staff. Afternoon tea was tasty.

The foot wear I was given to wear in the spa made me slip on areas around the pool and changing room where water was present. I stopped wearing them. The gowns for the pool did not give a very good first impression, the pocket on my husband’s was hanging off. The water container in the pool area had rust around it.

We stayed here for a family wedding in December 2022 that was in a venue close by. I was quite anxious about staying here due to having read some bad reviews before hand but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised. Our flight was delayed so we arrived in the early hours of the morning where we were warmly greeted and looked after. The hotel was very clean and the staff were exceptional. We really enjoyed our breakfast and had dinner there one night which was excellent. One member of staff which stood out was Helen in the breakfast room. She was extremely nice and helpful and looked after the group so well and ensured we had everything we needed. It was a perfect location for the nearby wedding. We did not use the spa but based on our stay I would highly recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay here again in the future. Geraldine (Ireland)

When will the outside jacuzzi be fixed ? It has been broken for sometime now.

just small details, in our bathroom ( rm 66 ) the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall.....such a small and easy thing to fix but being left as it was was a real shame. We brought this to the attention of reception when we checked out.

Reception and bar/restaurant/kitchen staff were doing a great job despite an appreciable lack of staff and not quite the hotel not appreciating what Thoresby Eventing Spring Carnival in terms of numbers and timings nearby meant. But they all stepped up and adapted well.

Knowledge of events in your local would help everyone for the weekend. Also be aware that attention to detail on the mattresses on your beds will ensure your clients wake from a restful sleep rather than sleeping in what felt like a marshmallow

The room was what we expected, the food was very good and value for money. the pool and spa was good.and the staff were very helpful and happy to please.

In all the hotel was what we wanted but we will not come on a saturday as there was a wedding going on very noisy later on when the guests went to there rooms. not the hotels fault but the person in the room next to us room 35 spent hours until 5am on the phone in a loud voice, door slamming, temper issues.

Breakfast was lovely but felt it should have been in with the price for what we paid. It was a lovely choice for breakfast and the staff were lovely. Room was ok though carpet and upholstery not very inviting. Bed comfortable though. In the room there was nice added touches like crisps as well as biscuits. Nice mugs and in bathroom toiletries were nice in as much as there was a spare new toothbrush and comb. Hairdryer and iron was nice yo have as well. Didnt use the spa

Drinks were very expensive. Carpet in bedroom dirty. Bath a little outdated we werent allowed to order a taxi at the reception and mobiles are not good reception

It is always nice to stay .your staff are helpful and sort out any Problems .The bar staff are helpful and Fun but Respectful as are all of the staff . breakfast staff always great . the room are of a good size .

breakfast room Good the Continental Breakfast needs to be looked at .as Europeans eat Cheese, cold meats Boiled Eggs .but overall Ok . the Menu for the Evening is the same as last year .and you still do not use Mattress Protectors ,which in Our Minds is False Economy as Accident in sleep do happen and a Protector save the cost of replacing a Mattress of your standers . I think you should have a look at some small Maintenance issues the Fire doors out side our room when 1 door opened the 2nd door would bang .the seal around the Bath has a Black spot which Looks like Mould but the is not and the bath has had a chip in the ceramic

Downstairs area was very nice, dressed for Christmas and comfortable. Swimming pool area and lounge as comfortable and enjoyable. Dinner was amazing, fabulous quality food and service. Breakfast too was comfortable and tons of choice. Double room allocated instead of a family room but this was swiftly sorted for us.

Spa area - pool was lovely however the floor was so slippy, sauna was not very hot, steam room not working there used to be an outside hot tub no longer in action. Various areas in the changing rooms that were just a little tired.
