Hampton Inn by Hilton Decatur

Swift and easy check-in. Fran (I hope I got the name corrcet) was pleasent and efficient.

My tub in my room did not drain properly. There is not more disgusring than wading in standing water while showering. So I had to shower in sections, wet body, turn off water. Lather body, then turn water back on to rinse off & repeat.

The room was very clean, and lobby was very clean. The staff was very friendly. Right away at check in they offered bottles of water. Loved it. The breakfast was fantastic. The best I have been to in a long time. The bed and pillows were great for sleeping.

The only thing that I found that I wasn’t happy about was the tub had rust stains around at the drain. At first I thought it was blood but then realized it was rust. Other then that the room itself was great. We were traveling on I-65 and the GPS took us there on a road that took forever to get to. I kept saying I wouldn’t have booked it here if I had known they were so far off of I-65. There was a backup though on the highway so maybe that’s why the GPS took us that way. When leaving the staff, that morning told us what road to take to get back on I-65. It was great.

It was satisfactory for type of meal one would expect for getting back on road to travel on to Sandestin fla.

without knowing to location of the Decatur Alabama Hampton inn when driving on a southerly route, it was hard to find in regard to the first exit off I-65 going south.

breakfast and the staff were excellent, my dad didn't pay attention to the pool being outdoors when he sent me the link to book after he booked his room so the kids were bummed that the pool wasnt open, but the staff told us of a playground near by and that appeased the kids.

The walls in the elevator were dirty, covered in hand prints all over the doors and walls. The lysol wipe containers in the elevator hallway were empty.

Friendliness of staff and great location. Also, we had to leave early for a family situation and manager graciously reduced our room rate for the last night.

Have stayed in same property before (December 2020) and the room was very clean. On our latest stay (January 2021), however, the bathroom floor was not properly cleaned (could see old shoe print on bathroom floor and dried urine around toilet).

Clean hotel (other than the smelly pillows mentioned) and I loved the cookies upon check-in and the snack bags you get when you check out! That's a nice touch!

All 8 pillows on the double queen beds stunk really bad! My mother said they smell like an oily head! Maybe you should give your pillows some attention and give them a wash every now and then, otherwise a great hotel and very clean!

Comfortable mattress, five pillows, great black out curtains, Kayla at the front desk was knowledgeable, very pleasant and professional. The coffee was great.

I think that you should have several rooms with showers. Baby boomers travel a lot and they need them. I felt that getting into a tub was unsafe and slippery for me. I am 73 and in good physical condition.

Clean room and coffee downstairs when you come in. Very friendly staff

The carpet in the hall was dirty and not much to choose from at breakfast.

There were a couple of spots of blood on the wall and side of tub. And the water wasn't going out the tub as it should while taking a shower
