Mount View Hotel & Spa

Right downtown Calistoga and an easy walk around. Pool area and hot tub with mineral spring water were nice. The little cabins and the outdoor tub were fun. Cabins are sort of rustic and feel private and removed from the rest of the property.

Continental breakfast was fine (some nice coffee, small orange, and various bread selections). This was nice to enjoy at the tub, but otherwise missable. Sort of seemed like it was "in between seasons" (not a lot of people which was great because the pool area was almost private), and some construction was happening but was not disruptive.

Mountain view is a beautiful vintage hotel. on friday, saturday and sunday even an outdoor cinema with classic movies. very sweet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available and served on the agreed time in the room. Alas, quite a disappointment and beneath the standar of the heritage of this hotel. Rooms are great and spacious. I love to hike and at a 10 minute drive is a small state park with enough hikes for two days.

breakfast, realy not ok

The perfect central location made walking the town easy. The decor and facilities were well cared for and had vintage charm. The evening movie was a nice bonus as well as 24 hr access to pools and snack availability. Breakfast was included and consisted of fresh baked breads, fruit and coffee. The staff was genuinely helpful.

We were in one of the little private cottages which is such a nice option to have but the tiny fridge in our room was balanced on a wood block so it kept falling forward. A very minor inconvenience overall.

location is excellent! breakfast good/average...the staff very accommodating, helpful and nice!! the pool and pool area very nice! We would definitely stay again :) overall a very nice place

construction noise :( (i know thats not their fault ,it was just bad timing for us ) then we moved rooms and although the room was nice... we looked out the bathroom window to a a "junk" storage area and garbage cans! seriously, a junkyard space. hopefully they can get that figured out . although we would've never known about it if we didnt switch rooms because of construction noise.

We made use of the hydration station, Hot tub and swimming pool area which was secluded, quiet and kept neat. Loved the artist room and patio. Plenty of places to sit outside on the property. Johnnys sports bar was right next door and we had some great nachos. The hotel and Johnnys staff were very helpful and seemed sincere in wanting to make our stay a great one.

The location was pretty quiet although there is someones backyard a few feet from the bedroom window and they were outside in the evening but not after about 10. My tea was not included with the continental breakfast delivered in the morning but it was minor and i just helped my wife drink her coffee.

A great location on the Main street. The room was excellent and comfortable. The breakfast service delivery to the room was also a nice touch.

The check in process was very convoluted and took way too long. Parking can be a pain as there is no private parking and you have to park on the Main street, but they assured me you would not get a parking ticket. I think in summer when it is busy it might be difficult to get a parking space

The location is perfect in the centre of town. The balcony suites are spacious and nicely decorated. Staff are nice.

The breakfast offering was a little bit weird. It featured 3 slices of very sweet cake, an orange, and a small drop of coffee lurking in a large pot. The bathtub in my suite could have done with a renovation. It was leaky and chipped. But in a way it added to the old world charm.

Great location on the main Street of Calistoga. The staff was attentive, pleasant, and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. Spa* facilities on-site added feature. *Note: limited days

Unfortunately, the price of accommodations in Calistoga has increased far beyond the quality of the accommodations; this hotel was no exception. It was off-season, so unfamiliar with the pool area. Also, offsite parking is limited to back streets

Lovely historic building right in the center of town!

My room drapes didn’t close all the way, and there was light/noise from the neighboring bar next door at night. Happily it was usually over by 10pm so not the worst, but still distracting for an early-to-bed person.

Small, quaint hotel with a good size swimming pool. Room was of good size, bed was comfortable. Staff was outstanding!

It does not have designated parking and might be difficult access for certain disabilities. Note There is no elevator.
