Bed was super comfy. Room was clean.
Man at the front desk was very rude and not helpful. Hotel is a bit of an enigma -- the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was quiet. But, furnishings are old, and tile, grout and bathroom fixtures need updates. Cracks around the shower.

My sister and I were traveling not for pleasure, it was for working on our brother's affairs from his passing a month ago. The Lodge offered us respite from the chores of the day. Being outside of Santa Rosa in a peaceful place where no one knew us, and we could be quiet. After long days the drive out was relaxing and beautiful. When we would arrive at the lodge, have a nice shower then, enjoyed dinner for two nights at the Bar. The bartender was so very nice and the atmosphere was calming even if a women's soccer game was going on. We could relax a bit and just be. Watch others be spirited but kind, hear laughter, and then walk back to our room by way of the pool for our feet to relax in the lovely water.
That we needed an extra night but the prices had become too steep.

We arrived late. The office was closed. They had left the keys attached to the office door. The bed was king size.
Value for my money? The place is a glorified motel. For $400 a night I had expect a stunning place. It was average. I requested an extra bed for the second night. They charged me $30 more (and only after I personally went to the office... they would not charge me by phone). They did not have the kindness of sending an extra towel. I would not stay there again or recommend it. Not at $800 for two nights. We needed to add a roll in bed for the second night. This was provided for a cost of $30 plus tax. The pool was dirty and the jacuzzi did not work. There was nowhere to ask for an extra towel. But mostly I was unhappy at the ridiculous cost.

great location in quiet and serene Glen Ellen, the town itself is close to anywhere you want to go in Sonoma county. the motel is on the high street in Glen Ellen, right across from a great grocery store and it’s own saloon which serves great food and you can sit along the creek while eating. the rooms might have dated furniture but we’re very clean, very comfortable bed, hot water, access to hot tub which was also just along the creek. all in all a great stay

We were upgraded to a room that had been renovated. The bathroom was very spacious and luxurious. There’s no moquette! Everything was super clean and neat. The pool is a nice feature and the spa was much appreciated. There are some restaurants 5 min walking from the hotel, but everything closes around 9 pm and it’s better to make a reservation. Children do not pay a fee.
Everything was perfect.

The room was much larger than expected, and VERY comfy. The AC worked extremely well, and our room had everything we needed and more for an overnight stay. My partner also enjoyed the attached Saloon, mentioning how amiable the bartender was. We did not use everything the Lodge had to offer, but we still were very happy to be there, and would gladly stay at the Jack London Lodge again. The location is great for a quick walk or drive to one of the great restaurants in town, and it's right outside Jack London State Park if you want to visit (and you should).
As with any other place I've stayed at on vacation, the Wifi connection was feeble. This could be because the Lodge was packed. It seemed like every room was booked, so there must have been high traffic over the internet.

In a cute town, the lodge has nice rooms, kept cleaned daily by staff, amazing comfortable beds with many pillows and feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud. The staff was friendly, across the street there is an amazing French Bakery but you must go early before they run out of things. The Saloon is hit or miss, one night is all old people the other all the locals who can be judgy but the bartenders are really nice. The food there is all fried and not good, go for drinks only. Sonoma isn’t far away with amazing restaurants and wineries.
The beds!!!

Nice quiet location with everything you would need. Supermarket opposite, saloon on site. Hot tub kept very warm in Winter. Easy access to state parks and local wineries.
Suggest taking a room on the upper floor as noise from above can be intrusive every step is heard below. The only thing we would improve from our stay was the disturbance from the morning work out in the room upstairs.

+Location, Staff (Kim & Erin) where a delight to be around. The grounds were nice. and the Saloon was great fun and authentic!
The pool was on constant cleaning and the hot tub did not work. Also, part of the outdoor seating area next to the river was abandoned, disheveled and not a sight to see in this beautiful setting.

on the outside it appeared to be roadside hotel from long ago but the inside was amazingly well decorated, nice materials, great bathroom and it was nestled on a roaring river. the town was quaint and eat traverses by foot. Wonderful bakery, grocery, saloon and wineries nearby.
Nothing really. I didn’t make contact with staff. They were there but I didn’t need them.
