MacArthur place was a beautiful, relaxing and a perfect stay for us during our wedding week! The staff were accommodating, nice and friendly. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. We stayed in the magnolia cottage with the outdoor shower which was so lovely! The white rose bushes outside our porch were gorgeous. The food at Layla was also delicious. The service was great. The overall amenities were amazing, we loved the spa and had the best couples massage there. Couldn’t recommend more.

Hotel decor is amazing and so clean and tidy! Rooms are absolutely beautiful! Attention to detail is unreal! We had a room with an outdoor shower and bath…they were just gorgeous! Food was amazing and so well presented! Staff go out of their way to deliver the best service! Would def recommend a stay at this high end hotel which is only a 5 minute stroll to Sonoma square!

Nothing…everything was fantastic during our stay!

MacArthur Place has so many amenities, and it is professionally run. The property never feels crowded although it is a popular destination. It has enough space to allow guests to relax, reflect and enjoy Sonoma and the surrounding area. Our stay at MacArthur Place was one of the most enjoyable ones we have experienced in some time. We will return very soon.

We enjoyed every moment of our visit and wish we could have stayed longer.

The staff was very well educated, kind and friendly. They were all amazing. My daughter was sick during our stay, and they took good care of our well-being, from cleaning the room to providing healthy food to our room. We received good suggestions from the front desk manager for wineries and restaurants around Sonoma.

The dining place could have been open on Monday and Tuesday as well.

The amenities were excellent and the service was unbeatable! We mainly dealt with the evening valet, Larry, who was absolutely amazing!!! Even late at night he made sure we were well taken care of.

This is not a strong thing most people can control especially with a room that has garden access but there were a few bugs found in the bed. Mostly small ants and small spiders.

We loved how friendly this place is without compromising on the luxury. The decor and design of the hotel is beautiful and attention to details really made the stay comfortable and indulgent without feeling pretentious. The staff were so friendly and accommodating - professional and kind. Couldn't rate this hotel more highly for a break in the wine region.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the grounds are beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed using the electric bikes each morning. I appreciated that the valet charged my car each night as well.

The only downside was our dinner at Lark. Our meal was disappointing.

Pool was closed

The pool being closed was a major ding. And I thought I had booked a room with a terrace—which was important, because I’d planned on doing work outdoors there. I ended up writing indoors at the common lounge across from the check-in desk, and occasionally outside of the property cafe.

Great location and friendly staff

Ants we all over the middle of the room due to the charcuterie plate being left out. House keeping was not available to come to the room and other staff were “not able to assist”. They did offer another room, but that meant packing up and moving for what sounded temporary until the next day… we declined. We did push to have the bell staff assist with bags earlier than expected, 8 am and there seemed to be negative energy coming from the valet/bell lead.

Loved our Garden Shower Room! Everything on the property and in the rooms was super well maintained and just had a really high quality feel. We had brunch at Layla and loved it, too.
