This is our 3rd visit to the hotel. I couldn't find a room on their website for the dates we were going to be in Hollywood. I decided to try Booking.com and was so happy to find the perfect room!!! We love the unique style of hotel, great location to safely walk over to Hollywood, and the customer service desk and snacks are a hit for our family.

Our bed was a little uncomfortable. Also, there was a group above us that was very loud until about 2:00am. We were fine to hear them be loud. I was concerned that something was broken. It sounded like they were moving furniture all over the place. It was clearly kids in there. Not sure if there was an adult to supervise.

Free DIY laundry, DVDS, clean rooms, and super friendly staff (special shout out to Thomas). I came with teen boys and they LOVED the free soft serve ice cream and snacks. I can see the unlimited free snacks being tough to regulate with younger kids, but with all the helpful staff, I’m sure they can help make it work. Seriously, why haven’t other hotels thought of these cool ideas to make your family comfortable? Oh, the pool is warmed to the perfect temperature and great music playing in the background. One block from walk of fame and Chinese Theater, we saw an IMAX movie while here. Easy 8 minute drive to Universal Studios (on streets, not freeway). While the place looks a bit cheesy from the outside, the rooms are updated with nice, comfortable beds and decor. The rooms are good (not amazing), but this is a family friendly place and not the W Hotel. Seriously, if you are looking for a place with a family to stay in Hollywood, this is it.

Not much negative. The breakfast is very simple, but they still offer something during COVID.

The amenities, free food, snacks, and beverages. The atmosphere was great, especially in the pool area. Free laundry. very helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is in a very old structure, and while that had it’s charm there were also some downsides. The walls were very thin, and both nights our downstairs neighbor (who I’m pretty sure is a full time resident) would play their music at a loud volume (1:00am and 11:00pm, respectively). There weren’t window coverings for all the windows so very bright light shines into some rooms throughout the night. There was also a lot of street noise. The grounds, and our room, were visibly run down, but there was an effort to make things as clean and nice despite this. If you are looking for a standard hotel experience don’t stay here. But if you like a funky, quirky, retro vibe this is the place for you.

This place is sooooo good. All the free inclusions from the snacks to the free laundry service. Always fresh pool towels and sunscreen. The kids loved the popsicle hotline!!The staff are lovely, and can help with any question, whether it be transport, attractions, and just general help for tourists. Even the CEO and GMs get in and do the work, and happy to chat. The morning magician Alfonso also a great asset. Having a full kitchen is so handy. What they promise is what you get.

The place is a tad run down if you look closely, but not enough to distract from the stay

The location was great, having a self-catering apartment with the buffet breakfast worked really well with the family. Secure parking and the laundry service was amazing. All the little extras like the soft drinks and snacks were great. The pool was lovely. Beds were very comfortable and supportive. Continental breakfast was good. The small independent boutique style hotel is charming.

The accommodation is really tired. It's perfectly functional but on a tour from NYC and Vegas this was the most expensive place we stayed per night but the poorest quality by far. The staff are wonderful and made all the adaptions they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible but they only have so much to work with. If we were lucky enough to visit LA again then we would definitely consider staying here but a refurb of rooms is overdue for sure.

nothing in particular. it’s not a 5 star hotel, but it’s super close to Hollywood Blvd yet still quiet. the amenities and staff are outstanding. The property and room was nicer than expected. if I have to find one thing wrong… parking is super tight.

Absolutely perfect for families travelling with kids! The pool, appartment hotel with kitchens, popsicle phone, free sodas, ice cream, snackbar and laundry, made the place perfect for us, after 3,5 week on the Road. It felt safe to let the kids go around on their own. Sure, the buildings are old, and the rooms could stand to be refreshed, og evne just put a couple of pictures on the walls, to make it more cosy. But none of it ruined our experince with the Magic Castle Hotel. it was very clean, and the staff was extremely nice and serviceminded! we had an apsolutely experience at the Magic Castle hotel, and will definately return if we are in Los Angeles⭐️

The staff were so lovely, always there to help and offer support. The extra touches of free snacks, breakfast, drinks, Ice cream, popcicles, magic shows at your table and laundry done for you make it an amazing place to stay! My kids absolutely loved this place and we had to drag them away each day to go and sightsee!! It's a perfect place for families and close to all the touristy things you might want to see.

Some of the other guests took advantage of the 24 hour pool but ignored the reduced noise policy at 9pm. The walls between apartments are thin and some guests weren't as considerate as they could have been. Not the fault of the hotel however.

We got put in a very small room with no balcony, with an air conditioner so loud we couldn’t use it. To cap things off the sheets were old and scratchy and pillows too soft - not what you expect from such a nice place

If you are looking for a central yet safe location in Hollywood, this is definitely the place to be. We enjoyed the huge and bright room/studio we had and of course the complimentary amenities that came with it. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. It's definitely a great place if you are traveling with a family. Good value for money.

The hotel is old and would definitely need to undergo renovation, especially the bathrooms. Tiles would come off and the toilet /shower were often clogged.
