Perfect location on the walk of fame. Quite good breakfast, considering it’s included. Rooms are pretty big and comfortable, beds have curtains, there are also lamps and shelves for each person. Very good conditions for a reasonable price

Common toilets and showers, they are not in the room but on the floor.

An unknown drunk woman entered the room the other morning and just claimed one of the beds, which at the time was still definitely used by someone else. Upon telling the management, they just said she was checked in (most likely in an other room) and everything was fine, although the bed was DEFINITELY IN USE BY SOMEONE ELSE. In the end one of us had to change beds, so we'd recommend the management to be more precise with the reservations.

The Beverly Hills tour and the Hollywood Sign tour by Steve were amazing! Definitely recommend doing those.

I stayed in a 4-women dorm. I liked the beds had a curtain around the bunk for privacy. the rooms had ample space and a small tall thin locker for valuables. Everything bagels with peanut butter and jam available everyday. I didn't find the coffee until the final day... The side of the hotel I was on, wasn't too loud. The location was brilliant for Hollywood Hill hiking and the stars! Easy to find on the main street too.

More maps round the property, as I kept getting lost coming out of my dorm room. I didn't find the coffee in the other little kitchenet section until the final day... :D

Everything looks exactly like the pics. Located at a super strategic place, I went to a concert at the Hollywood bowl and I walked like 10 minutes from the hostal to the venue. The price is good for what you get. Everything is so clean, common spaces are big enough, with a great view to the Hollywood walk of Fame at the kitchen and the main common room. I was very surprised of how calm and quiet it is at night, no noise was filtered from the walk of Fame. There's a 24 hr market below the hostal (hostal is on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building), also there's a public parking behind the building and I payed 30 USD for a overnight parking (I arrived at 4 pm and left 11 am next day). ATM at the kitchen. The whole staff is so nice and helpful and many of them are bilingual (English and Spanish). They offer you breakfast from 7 am to 9 am: 3 types of bagels to choose, cream cheese, jelly, butter, oranges, oat bars, coffee and tea. Dispensers with fresh water available for everyone at any time. Wifi was great.

Girl's bathroom only at 3rd floor. It would be great if you have genderless bathrooms in both flats of the hostal so everyone can have accessible showers and restrooms wherever your room is. My mattress wasn't firm enough.

The tour guide Steven was the best thing about the place. He does weekly tours and got people chatting and mingling which is a good way to meet people and the tour was informative and fun. Look for the sign up sheet because they won’t mention it at check in. The place is very clean. The cleaners are constantly cleaning.

Laundry. They only allow one person at a time to do laundry. One person. In a massive hostel. They give you a 2 hour booking meaning that at the most they can have 5-6 washes a day FOR THE ENTIRE HOSTEL. Don’t come here if you’re needing to do laundry. Also they charge you $10. There’s no laundrettes nearby so it’s a bit of a hike to do laundry.

beds are comfortable, quite at night even though it’s in a busy area, easy to access tourist attractions from location of the hostel, very good breakfast, free water to refill bottles, restaurants and bars close by

The location is great, as stated. Was even able to see a Hollywood Christmas parade right from the window. As for the comfort, I use earplugs anyway, but the room was quiet, and I didn't find the place overly loud even for its location. Overall impression: clean, cozy. Not a big fan of the breakfast, but coffee in the morning is a huge plus. The staff was nice, helpful, and flexible. I stayed for 3 nights here, then moved to another place and regretted it a bit, probably should've stayed here for the rest of the trip.

I didn't find it comfortable that the bathrooms and showers were being cleaned in the morning and in the evening during the busiest hours when the majority of guests are using them. Once, there was a male staff member in the women's bathroom/shower area, which I found a bit off-putting. The common space is comfortable, although if you have work meetings while you stay there, it might be a bit loud.

Location was great, it is noisy being right on the busy strip of Hollywood blv but that is part of the attraction, I had a window to see the main strip, across from road the metro and anything touristy. Staff were great and accomodating 24/7. Room has decent size locker for each bunk, bathrooms are decent, clean and private with seperate dressing room area, toilets and showers. Lounge/common area open 7am- 12am good for some social interaction as a solo traveller, tables, couches and pool table inviting to the social environment, plus luggage storage all day when you check in/out. I did not try the breakfasts or use the kitchen facilities, but they looked clean and tidy. I would stay here again.

bunk beds are a little squeaky when getting on and off, keys into the rooms sometimes need a little juggle, mostly just out of care for bothering those already sleeping, but its part of the hostel experience right!
