Wine & Roses Hotel Restaurant Spa Lodi

The food was fine, definitely delicious using fresh produce, the halibut was good plus Lodi wine was a nice surprise. The staff everywhere was attentive to whatever you needed. The swimming pool is the cleanest, most sparklingly pool, it reminds me how clean hotel pools were in the 60’s. I also liked the fireplace in the room as well as the balcony, I loved looking at a huge palm tree each time I accessed the outside space. Also the perennial garden is just gorgeous and I know how much work goes into maintaining those beds.

Really can’t think of anything except the cafe service ended at 4pm during a Saturday afternoon. We were trying to get food delivered to the pool but cafe gals said Nah we don’t have enough people to deliver🤷🏼‍♀️

The room was nice, and comfortable. The property was nice, and had a lot of things to do. The pool was great, and there were choices for food. The spa services were great!

I wish I would have known ahead of time about what you get with the spa services. My massage was scheduled the morning I was leaving, so I had to check out soon after. I wish I knew that there were spas, a sauna, and a hang out place when you got a service. The only really negative things was, Staff at the café were not very friendly. But everywhere else they were.

We enjoyed the breakfast sandwich in the cafe as well as the turkey sandwich we took togo. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable, as well as quiet.

Our room was in the separate enclave on the fat North end of the property, across the parking lot from the main bldgs. On two previous stays we were in one of those main bldgs, surrrounding and looking out on a lovely garden/courtyard area. This time, we felt more disconnected and the outlook from the balcony was not as attractive, although it did NOT look onto the parking lot, thankfully!

the fireplace had issues and the bathtub grout could have been cleaner. there was also something goopy on the bottom of the handicap rail in the shower. the bed had permanent indentations from other guests. it was like sleeping in a hole.

The property and room were magical. On-site restaurant was excellent! Hot tub and pool were relaxing. Really need to try to on-campus wine tasting venue next time!

On the pricier side, but not complaining because you get what you pay for here.

Wine and Roses Spa Hotel is a nice place to get away and relax. The grounds are pretty, the rooms are spacious and lovely. The cafe offers good food and drink, is very convenient. The restaurant (offering outdoor dining, of course) is beautiful. The chef is putting out beautiful, delicious dishes.

My room was at the very back of the property. It was nice and quiet, but there was no view to enjoy. I asked about wine tasting in the area. The desk let me know the visitors center was open and I should check in with them. I did so, but they were aloof and unhelpful. They told me I could get an appt for the next day. (Okay, no problem). I was interested in buying a bottle of wine for the evening. They left me to wander, offered no assistance, and I left disappointed. (All other staff on the property was very kind, attentive and delightful to interact with.)

Location was perfect for the visit to relatives. Grounds were quite nice an an early morning a walk around

We were going to have an evening nightcap in the lounge but music was too loud for the small space.

We had dinner in the restaurant but the chicken breast with the chicken Leg, what was that ? It was terrible, didn't even look appealing. The Chef need to look at what he's serving. We were very disappointed.

Everything. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous

The only bad part of our stay was Jessica. I have stayed here twice and both times that I have interacted with her she has been less than helpful and very rude.

Food and cocktails were amazing at the onsite restaurant. Safety guidelines in place for COVID. Outdoor seating with heat lamps and fireplace to make guests feel comfortable. Upgraded with ease to a beautiful room with fireplace. Gorgeous grounds with live birds and lush surroundings. You'd never know the property is located at a busy intersection! Staff was friendly, informative and accommodating. Great location - close to many wineries.

If we could have stayed an additional night! Unfortunately, our schedules did not allow. We'll be back!
