The Culver City Hostel is one of the best hostels in the LA area. Mainly because it’s not like other hostels in LA where you need to share a bunk bed and possibly have a room with 5-7 other people. Here you get your own room and own bed. Great for traveling to LA solo or with friends and family as they also have bigger room options. There is free Wi-Fi, shared bathrooms and showers, and a shared kitchen and lounge space. Free street parking across the street in a quiet neighborhood if you have your own car or a rental. Food options are nearby and walking distance like Starbucks and Chipotle, and even a Mediterranean restaurant next door, and of course food delivery like Uber Eats is always an option if you don’t feel like leaving the hostel! The sheets/pillows/bedding and towels and overall room was very clean. I’d recommend this property to anyone traveling to LA on a budget! It’s a lifesaver if you can’t afford the average luxury hotels in LA (that range from $200-300/night & upwards to $500/night & up depending on location) but you still want your privacy and own room. Also this is in a great area in terms of no street noise and sirens, despite being on a big street, as well as easy access to the 405 freeway in case you have to leave early to the airport or continue a roadtrip. Front door has a code and so does each room so it’s very safe. I’m so grateful for the Culver City Hostel team’s friendliness and hospitality!

The location is very good. It's about 1-2 minutes walk to the bus station. Also the cleaning staff and hostel staff is very nice and helpful with me. This makes me feel happy a lot because I traveled alone. I also ask them for leaving the luggage at the property before going to airport in the evening, they helped me with that.

My room is D10. I cannot do anything with the window because it was fixed with the wall. When you wake up the light might be interrupted a bit but not that big deal for me. Also the room might be too hot for some people (but for me temperature is fine) but they have a fan in the room. In male restroom there's no hair dryer but female does have one and I really need to use them. The last thing is the pillow is too thin for me. I need to take my neck pillow to help and lift myself for sleeping.

The AC in my original room wasn't working, so the host moved me to another room promptly. The location is really ideal: walking distance/a few bus stops from grocery stores, coffee places, a laundromat, and restaurants. Wi-fi was strong in my room too. As hostels go, this was an overall pleasant and affordable experience.

The showering facilities could be improved: the water temperature is hard to control and not all the lights were working in the bathroom. Noise level depends on the other guests.

This hostel was exactly what I needed. I was in town for a weekend where I knew I would be working most of the time and I needed somewhere I could sleep peacefully, take a shower and store all my stuff securely. The Culver City Hostel fit all of these requirements perfectly. The location was also perfect. It's a little more expensive than some hostels in the area, but it's worth it to know all of my stuff was secure in my locked room when I was gone and I could sleep in a private room. The bathrooms are shared, but they were clean and I never had to wait to use the toilet or shower since there were two toilets and three showers (with privacy curtains) in the men's room, which was important as I needed to get ready and out the door. The staff were also great.

Location is number one. Safety is also important. Super close to anything you need and street parking consider fair. I stayed there for 3 days and i was satisfied. The manager Dustin, super helpful since the second i arrived at the property. He will work with you and he will try his best to accommodate your stay. Clean too. Kitchen is big and huge patio for everyone. I recommend this to everyone and YeS I will stay there again. No doubt

Need to provide small amenities like toothbrush maybe.

TJ was an amazing host that gave me personal attention and made me feel at home. He went above & beyond and was incredible gracious. Thank You!

Overpowering Smell of Cleaning Products. Switch to products with no added scents please. Overall it did not affect my stay. Just a suggestion because people are scentsitive to synthetic chemical scents. Put a screen on the bathroom window please.

Modern and comfortable. Very professionally organised hostel, has all the basic needs. Location wise convenient and cosy. Has a gas station across the street and a neighbouring gym if you are into it.

Access to Hostel before and during arrival as an unknown, keeps you tense. It is a very simple process, yet you have to call upon arrival. For foreign visitors who may not have a local phone line it would be difficult. Brief pre-information via e-mail etc. would be better.

Perfect for a night in LA. Huge deluxe room was GIANT compared to the single I had last time. Makeup mirror and desk, wardrobe, bedside tables, great. Good location not far from the airport. I love that you can just go in without having to deal with reception.

There was a slight delay checking in even though I was there after check-in time as they couldn't work out if the room was ready, but it was. The guy was responsive though. I should have just asked which room it was first and checked myself!

Many of these reviews are too harsh. this place is great value for money in a great location and was clean and tidy. I’ve stayed in more expensive ‘hostels’ that were far worse than this place, I’d stay here again.

the gap between the toilet doors and the wall is huge, you can see straight into the toilet wheh it’s locked - not very private!

I liked the location, because I was halfway between the Airport and the attractions I visited.

It's not necessary I didn't liked it, but for sure we had there a language barrier. We were slower in communication, but still, we managed it somehow :) .
