My room was awesome. Bigger than my first three apartments! I had a kitchenette, a sweet little balcony, a full sitting area. Just lovely. Also, the staff was terrific; in particular the valet and the restaurant staff -- just excellent. The location is fabulous -- tucked into a residential area between the super vibrant Melrose Ave. and Santa Monica Blvd. You have quick access to everything, but get to retreat to a peaceful refuge.

The quality of the towels could be improved. (The bed linens were wonderful! Bath linens, not so much.) The bathroom is not spacious but it works. It could benefit from some hooks and other utilitarian features.

The location was perfect. I loved that the area is so central but the hotel is on a beautiful and quiet street that felt safe. Everything at the hotel felt very clean. Everyone working there was very nice. When we needed anything extra like coffee, it was delivered to our room in couple of minutes. On the first day we asked to change to a street facing room after we had gone in the first room already. This was taken care of without a hassle.

The main con is that it’s a bit too pricey especially when you add the $60 parking per night. But maybe that’s normal for the area. Just to mention a couple of minor things as constructive feedback: I thought the shower was a bit odd. The sliding door should open from the other end of where the shower head is. Just a design flaw. Some things felt old and out of place, for instance a leather tray on the sink area holding hand towels was completely ripped, all over. These little things don’t change the pleasure of staying here. But when you pay $400+ a night you tend to notice them and wonder why?

The rooftop area was lovely and we were able to take advantage of the tennis courts. We enjoyed our balcony, though our view of the alley left a little something to be desired. The King bed was very comfortable and the pull out was decent. The location is great for walking. The neighborhood is quiet and very walkable. We walked to the Farmer's Market, Sunset Blvd and to several great restaurants.

The pool was freezing, so I'm not sure that you can really claim that it's heated, even if it is technically heated a degree or two. Even our children, who swim in the freezing Pacific, thought it was too cold. Also, I think that when people request dishes for the kitchen, you should deliver a sponge and soap with it. We had to make a second request to housekeeping, which adds to their work. Housekeeping did a lovely job cleaning our room, but then didn't replace the washcloths and towels that they took so we had to request a few new ones.

loved the size of the suites, walk in closet, kitchen living room... two televisions full bathroom.. balcony room comes with snacks = WAY OVERPRICED if I had one comment that would be it. don't eat the snacks or drink the drinks in the room! complimentary water bottles. location excellent two steps away from melrose shopping and restaurants, one "new york avenue" away from Santa Monica Blvd, steps away from the Mall etc. Pool area was fantastic, they have a tennis court and you can book a pro if you want. little restaurant was sweet, a tad expensive but so convenient with such great service and a lot of options, perfect for breakfast. free coffee on the go. record player in every room you can grab records from the lobby ... excellent gym up to date equipment and room for a reasonable workout...

really no complaints except for the prices of snacks in the room (20 dollars for a box of mnm's as an example) also just note if you want your room serviced you need to make that clear they don't automatically service it/ clean it unless you request, which is more common amongst a lot of hotels post covid.

Really great decor and location. The layout of the suite is awesome

There’s a kitchenette but it’s not ‘fully equipped’. a couple of pieces of crockery would be ideal, otherwise it seems redundant. when I entered the room it had a really bad odor, which did go away after a few days of me airing it out. there were also a couple of cockroaches in the room. individually these were things to brush off and I didn’t feel the need to speak to the hotel staff but all together it just left me a little disappointed in the presentation considering the cost.

Nicely situated, helpful staff, the pool area looked lovely but sadly the weather wasn’t conducive for swimming or sunbathing ! The room was large with a nice seating area alongside a dining table & kitchen. The balcony which was constantly in the shade of tall trees , overlooked a messy narrow back road.

The balcony as I wrote above, was for me, a waste of time, as certainly not inviting! Maybe had the weather been better and hotter, it might have been somewhere pleasant to sit outside yet remain “cool” .

Location, nice residential neighborhood, short walk to Melrose and Santa Monica commercial areas. Size and layout of rooms. generally quiet but ask for a room away from service elevator. staff is nice and helpful. Gym is small but adequately equipped.

Feels a little short staffed. Room service didn’t answer the phone and wasn’t easy to get service on the roof deck. Internet was not good. Very slow. Difficult to work in room as a result. Bathroom needed some attention from maintenance.

I really enjoyed this quaint hotel. The employees were amazing! They are very quick to satisfy anything you need. You call down and they bring whatever you need right away. Customer service is impeccable! They have plenty of amenities, and it feels like home away from home. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are very comfortable.

The food costs are very high. They not only add a $5.00 delivery fee, but also a 23% gratuity on top of the delivery fee. In addition to all of those fees is an added tip line, so our mandatory tips/fees for breakfast ended up being $112 for 3 people to have eggs, bacon, orange juice and one person to have avocado toast. They should have a pot/pan/paper plates/paper towels/soap in the kitchen area. You have a kitchen to cook in, and a stove top, but no pots or utensils to cook or eat with.

Nice hotel, staff (especially bellmen outside), room size and overall cleanliness but shower has a strange head that force you to wash hair (no shower cap was present).

Check in. That is not right! first it has been asked to check in online with the (forced) request to upload ID (?? why? what you will do with that information? how is it stored? when it will be deleted??? with CC information, too) and there is no clear indication that the usual in person process can be done. Then you come to discover online check in was not enough: you still have to go at the front desk (nice people following orders) and provide cc, car plate and everything it was already asked online. Not nice, not right. Checkout at 10.00am while in vacation... well, it does not need any comments.
