Can't speak highly enough of the staff, they were all so friendly and helpful. As soon as I arrived I was given a warm welcome, and various recommendations of places to visit and things to do during my stay. The hotel has good facilities, no problems with the WiFi and the kitchen has an oven, microwave, toaster, everything you need. It's in a good location, there are many restaurants nearby, and it's only a 10 minute walk to catch a bus or the metro, around 15-20 minutes walk to the downtown area. The rooms aren't exactly luxurious but for the price I expected much worse (there are worse hotels in worse areas charging significantly more than this hotel) - the bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge in the room which is always a plus. Would absolutely stay here again and 100% recommend it :)

No bugs. All the sheets were very clean. The bed was fairly comfortable. Two pillows. The shared bathrooms were really clean and nice, especially the showers. Shared kitchen was nice to cook your own food. Location to Union Station is a short walk.

The rooms are outdated, and the nightstand table was run down. Closet was off the hinge track. Noise level can be bad from outside depending on room. I got lucky this time and was in the back of the building. It was much appreciated. Be sure to bring ear plugs.

The staff was super nice and helpful, accommodating my needs very well. I loved the Little Tokyo region, so it was delightful to visit the Japanese shops and restaurants around the hotel. I came in knowing very well what to expect from the facilities. The hotel has 2 bathrooms and 2 showers per floor, that is shared among all rooms. But the bathrooms and showers were always very clean. The hotel is not super comfortable, and there's no room service at all. But for the price, in the area, I think it has great value.

The room was a little cold, since there was no heating. But I asked for an extra blanket, and then it was fine.

Host was very nice and welcoming.

Needs a makeover, some guy followed me to the door and possibly made a reservation here. He followed me for 5 blocks ,I tried to lose him but he came right after I got inside. This area is next to skid row and scary at night.

The room was clean and tidy.

You should know that there is a particularly large homeless community in downtown Los Angeles. It is unsafe in the evening.

Great staff & location! I stayed 3 nights and requested after the 1st night to be moved to a room with an Street facing window and was accommodated by staff. I appreciate the hard working staff of Little Tokyo Hotel & would stay there again in the future.

Staff is great. Bronzeville Area history of African Americans who used to own all of the buildings and businesses before they were forced out. Lots of japanese restaurants and you get keys to come and go. Historic Area brings back memories of my grandparents. Very very quiet . Full kitchen. The place is very clean. They take your temperature and they wear masks. Professional! Rooms have heaters and a view of the area if you're Lucky. Ice cold drinking water . Nice hot showers.

Could use a television and air freshener. Overpriced. Staff was very nice . Needs to be about $10- 25$ cheaper. Overall enjoyed my rest and stay. Would recommend yes. Close to train but not if you have luggage. I wish they could remodel because then it be much much better. My room was missing half the closet door. They are nice people who are hospitable and they don't bother you. Crowded at the front door due to restaurants on each side. Prewar building I was warned before so it's okay.

First of all , I have to say that the hotel or the building is a 115 years old and I was a returning guest to the 2* Little Tokyo Hotel at Downtown. I knew the hotel very well since 1975(I was born in 1973). Therefore, I had been chosen this location at Little Tokyo as well the hotel. The location at Little Tokyo one of the safest area in Los Angeles. Moreover , just 15 minute stone throw away (walking) the Union Station which gives you excellent commuting to any where in L.A.. My room was the N21 and luckily I have gotten my usual room when I always staying in the hotel. The hotel room was clean and tidy as usual same as since 1975.Literally, not much had been changed..... The hotel staff was very friendly, informative and helpful during my stay in the hotel as usual. If you like the Japanese culture you must visit the the hotel opposite the small local amenities the Japanese Village Plaza.

In my view, some of the bathroom has to be improved because, not welcoming. For example, the tiles, the taps is too old and some guest doesn't like. Also, health & safety issue have to consider to us. In the kitchen I was expected in the draw some cutlery's as well some plates. Unfortunately, in this area also need an improvement. I understand that is a 2* hotel and just gives a minimum but it missed..... Furthermore, some plastic cups missed at the water station. I saw some of the hotel guest was astonished because couldn't find any cups to drink it.
