Modern and comfortable.

It was really really cold with windows open all the time on a freezing LA night plus the air con also. Terrible!

This is my second time staying at this podshare while in LA and it has again met my expectations. It may not be the most extravagant place to stay, but it has all the essential accommodations a solo traveler can ask for at a cheap price & nice location near Little Tokyo, while also providing a little extra in way of having a shareable kitchen and lounge area.

No major complaints really. I think if they offered something like a vending machine on site for snacks and drinks would be a worthwhile investment for them, as there isn't a nearby convenience store around the immediate area.

We really liked the location of Podshare and the functionality of the place. It's something different and we wanted to give Podshare DTLA a try as we had seen others that were fairly similar. The bed we had was super comfy and we slept so well. It's convenient and staff were friendly. The podshare provided a variety of electronics, food items, condiments etc which allows you to cook your own food if you need too.

The bathroom was quite small. There are 2 individual toilets and 2 individual shower rooms. This made it difficult to get dressed without getting your dry clothes wet. Some of the other people were smelly and lacking personal hygiene, such as bad body odor, not showering, dirty finger nails. This Is not podshares fault. But this was something we didn't like. And other people leaving their dirty dishes behind. So we didn't feel comfortable filling up with water as people had left things. If you are looking to meet people, we would suggest that this might not be the place.

The warm shower, the quality of soap (Meyer), the temperature of the open environment, the industrial architecture, the soft bed, thank you for hosting me-I will return. Glad to have a night light, outlet, space. Next to bed for items on shelve and in nook.

Perhaps there could be a rain guard or roof over the doors, I got caught in the rain at 3 am, and it obscured my field of vision, I was actually at the tattoo parlor door instead of the DTLA door, made my way back to the DTLA door. Perhaps some disposable slippers could be offered. There was a light blanket on bed top, I would have preferred the staff to place something thicker, due to the cold that the rain brought. Something like a light wool blanket. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Very cozy and unassuming. Chill staff and roomies.

So unassuming, was initially hard to find and access even once I arrived. Staff was chill but kinda had an eh attitude

The location is walking distance from Union Station, but a bus stops at the nearby corner and is a better option. This unique place is like a hostel but a little different, with beds in a large room arranged for some privacy. Upper beds are mostly reached by stairs instead of ladders, so each bed is like a berth on a submarine, maybe. Upper beds have a wire guardrail across the open side. You can hang a blanket or towel on this for added privacy. It is walking distance from restaurants.

The location was a little hard to find. The shower looked sketchy, so I skipped it. The walk from Union Station included some narrow sidewalks, obstacles in the path, and deserted streets.

This is communal living at its best. Just think college (freshman year dorm but for adults). You will meet a myriad of personalities from various backgrounds and walks of life speaking with accents of their native tongues/cultures. People are willing to share information regarding the community and the happenings around L.A. Also, don't be surprised to share a meal or two with some of the people you vibe with the most. It's really a cool, eclectic place that welcomes all ages (babies not so much, I don't think) from all socioeconomic brackets and cultures. Centrally located within L.A.'s Little Tokyo Arts District, there are many things to find and experience, especially in the food and beverage category. Public transportation is all around, making it easy to commute from place-to-place. The staff, Ron and Mark (even Michael with whom I spoke over the phone) were/are exceptionally helpful regarding anything that supports your stay within the PodShare. Overall, people are respectful of one another and each other's property. You're able to sleep soundly and securely. Each pod comes with a "Welcome Kit" that includes a nice towel, a postcard, a business card (advertisement for PodShare and map), and a nice personal-sized energy snack. There's a fully stocked kitchen so that you can prepare meals, coffee/tea, whatever. Oh! By the way, if you have a car, request parking also; there's parking for guests based upon request. Happy Travels.

I have no complaints at all. Just be prepared to share space with multiple people. The shared restrooms are setup as such: two toilets and two showers. This means four people could be in there at the same time, but at most I've only seen two in the restrooms at once. I am not sure how handicapped accessible the facilities are (inquire about this ahead of time if special accommodations are warranted).

I like how everyone is in one general room. plenty of space between everyone and all with plenty of room. But, everyone in one room has a sense of community and togetherness. I truly wish I had spent more nights at this property. The outside looks lacking, but the inside did not reflect that.

Location was not great for new to the area and solo low budget folks. I arrived by Amtrak - about 15-17 minute walk. not too bad, but the entire area is a bit rundown for a 15-17 minute walk with luggage. That said, I did not feel unsafe walking to and from with luggage, but uncomfortable. There were a few long stay folks at the property, one of which would attempt to talk to everyone for extended periods of time and a bit noisy - was completely silent during quite hours though and was in no way uncomfortable, just wouldn’t leave you alone if you listened.

Okay stay. Walking distance to Union station, good for when you need to go farther, like Disneyland. The staff maintained silence in the dorm efficiently during night, which is good in a podshare like this. Wifi works, lockers are provided (bring own lock as always).

The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, and there isn't much to see or do in the immediate vicinity. Also it was forbidden to "build a fort", i.e. hang blankets etc. to give cover from sight to your pod. I usually do this to, but wasn't a problem because they were quiet nights.

the location is awesome near to little tokyo station and union station. the staffs are accommodating and easy to talk to.

there’s no ac, it’s summer and I sweat much in the night. and our bedside electricity outlet is busted, so we have to charge our gadgets away below the bunk. no privacy, nothing to cover your bed area when you sleep.
