Exceptional service with every detail considered. The cashless and tip less approach is terrific, and somehow results in even friendlier and more attentive service. The details in the room from the wine, to the spa product samples, and the personalised candle elevate the experience. The rooms are stunning and luxurious. The property is beautiful, well maintained and has no shortage of activities and areas to explore. All good from the breakfast to poolside to dinner is fresh, hearty, and delicious. This is one of my favourite hotels and I’m already planning my next visit. A new go-to for a wholesome escape.

We only had one disappointing experience when we wanted to check out the beach club. We spoke to reception, valet and then the valet at the beach club all of whom encouraged us to head down, until we met the host at the club who told us the beach was closed. Not sure what happened - whether it was a simple miscommunication and the staff we spoke to didn’t know but it wasted a couple of hours of our time and could have been avoided.

The property is amazing, great environment, amazing food by the pool. good vibes. Christian the bar tender is the man!

the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that there was an employee who legitimately chased me and my gf down to ask if we were guests on the ranch as we were walking throughout the property…it struck me as odd because he didn’t ask anyone else that and maybe it could’ve been because I was mixed race but it felt like he had his eyes on us as we were walking around and enjoying our coffee at Saloon. Also, the food at the pool took forever to come out, the bartender felt so bad that she gave us another round on the house.

The hospitality and the grounds are gorgeous. Every detail to ensure guests are cared for is felt and appreciated. The staff is incredibly gracious and ensures your stay is exceptional every time. We visit annually and hate to leave. Thank you for such a terrific experience.

Can’t think of anything. Maybe just bring back the old pool menu. The Greek salad with grilled shrimp was to die for and is no longer available.

The property itself is gorgeous. Multiple pools and restaurants, hiking paths, soundbaths, yoga, spa. Rustic luxury close to Malibu, but felt like an escape. Lots of complimentary offerings. Food at The Ranch and Poolside was good. Valet services and staff were excellent. All staff members were kind and helpful. Text communication available with front desk staff.

The room was TINY. Also maintenance really needs to give some TLC to the rooms. Scuffs and marks all over the walls. No real closet. No full length mirror in room. Room itself didn’t lock from outside, only main door to private courtyard. Very dark bathrooms with no fan for shower. No late room service available.

The room was amazing, so many amenities and little attention to details. Felt very luxurious. The general feel of the place was that of a luxury ranch with chandeliers in the trees etc, so enchanting!

Some of the areas did need a bit of TLC, they advertise 5 pools but a few of the pools are very run down and not looked after. Also, the walkways and signs could be a bit better lit at night as when on your own it’s quite dark to navigate around.

Loved the unique spaces and venues throughout the property. We loved the pool areas and relaxing spa area where we had wonderful massages. We enjoyed the beautiful front lobby where you could go in the evenings and have a fresh complimentary cocktail and listen to the talented Pianist Jason play for hours. Our favorite meal there was breakfast every morning at the ranch club. The menu was so interesting and everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. We came for the week with our son on Spring Break and they took care of us and made us feel at home ensuring that we had everything we needed and gave us great suggestions for activities. You could definitely tell the ranch was family owned and they live on property. Everyone was friendly and knew our names and went above and beyond. We will definitely return.

Delayed delivery on a couple of requests and, in one instance, no delivery I tried to have the people cleaning come back as we were busy, but they never returned. The room was left uncleaned Juice/Smoothies were not freshly made-to-order and/or were prepackaged -- the location felt like fresh juice/smoothies would be the norm Very Limited shuttle service hours to the beach

I wish we could have stayed longer. This was a great stay. Very welcoming staff, great atmosphere - we totally loved the SPA Pool (it's quieter) and the Food and the Ranch Club (I had the Prime Filet 12oz and it was AMAZING! one of the best steaks I've ever had!) - other than that the rooms were super cozy. And the best: If Malibu Beach is foggy there is a high chance that the Ranch is sunny.

It was just lovely. Such a huge space. Never felt crowded. Very clean. Very relaxing . Staff very helpful.

Could be an extended choice of food. ( one restaurant is under refurbishment- so I’m sure this will be improved)

The facilities are fantastic, the rooms are not gigantic, but arranged very well and quite functional, we never felt cramped. The grounds are beautiful to walk around, so much great lighting and fountains and ponds. Both pools have plenty of seating, the spa pool is much quieter, the main pool by the lobby has fun music and great cocktails, much more of a upbeat scene. The beach club is a good 15-20 minute drive, but there's a shuttle that takes you down, another great restaurant for lunch and the beach takes about 5 minutes to walk to from the beach club. Last service was amazing everywhere, everyone was very attentive and super friendly!

Very little to be upset at. The trail that you can hike on has a very simple map they give you at the lobby. The actual trail is sort of hidden, no great signs and then once you're on it, no signs at all. We kind of went off and ended up having to back track a bit to go back to the Ranch, some more signage would be good! Also food options are a bit limited (and a little pricey, but what hotel are they not at...) if you're staying for over 2 days I would say, but that may have been because we didn't stop by the Malibu Cafe for lunch.
