plenty of pillows and different firmness to choose from. Plenty of light and the fridge and microwave both worked well. I liked having a north facing room it allowed for plenty of light without all the heat. View of the hill but at least it was green and i avoided the noise of the pool.

Toiletries were cheap. 2in1 shampoo conditioner, super thin bar soap that paired with the water left you feeling dry. The "Washcloths" Stole what soap you put on it so don't bother. Also there was a kids baseball tournament having a party in the pool so the sign that said SPA occupancy 6 was blatantly ignored by the 15 kids in there unattended by parents.

Nice place. However, there was nothing on the Bokking.com website that said there is a $12 fee for parking. This is Simi Valley, not a big city like NYC or SF with very limited parking. This is just a quiet little rip off.

Parking fee of $12 not advertised. This is a small city. Places like NYC or other big cities have limited street parking. The lot was about a quarter filled. I was unpleasantly surprised when the clerk told me there is a fee to park. This is Southern California and everybody drives. I did not appreciate this very sneaky way to rip me off.

Great location - close to the highway, yet no road noise, only a 36 minute drive to the beach. The hotel had been recently updated w/nice new flooring, as well as upgrades in the pool area. Throughout the day, staff was cleaning indoors and out. Front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay! This was our second stay at the Grand Vista and we’ll certainly return!

There was some confusion about the on-site breakfast-whether it was complimentary, or if you had a coupon what discount you would receive but it was unclear as to where you’d get the coupon. And, you can order off a menu for a different selection, but that’s not offered by staff-you have to know to ask. Better communication would have been helpful.

Everything was fantastic! Friendly staff! Carlos was fantastic and the young man that checked me in Vincent I think was great too!!

When I got in my room I turned on the refrigerator and found someone’s half eaten food was in it. I went back out to run to the store for a few things, told Vincent about it and he had it taken care of by the time I got back. I tried not to make a big deal out of it but I was totally grossed out by that and questioning if the room and bathroom had actually been cleaned appropriately since obviously the refrigerator was not cleaned at all

Conveniently located near our destination point for a Celebration of Life ceremony in Simi Valley.

Had to pay $12 a day for parking. It would have been OK if it included valet parking. Also, the only place to eat was located outside of the premises and it was raining like all get out at the time, so we ended up driving our car somewhere else. The restaurant for the Hotel was closed.

Nice location in relation to shopping and restaurants (some closed). Pool and hot tub well maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

$10.00 to park? The reason I was given was they charge for parking in LA...? This is Simi Valley and I would hope that the greed factor would not come into play. I would imagine 90% of your business are customers who drive and park their autos in your provided parking lot. Based on the number of cars I saw during my 4 days, the lot was rather full. One customer had a trailer that took up 4 spaces. Did he get charged $40 per night? What's next? A pool fee? A hotel is for longer stays and a motel is a motor lodge. Your facility is a motel. People stay normally for an extended period. Don't charge for parking. It makes your business look cheap and like a rip-off.

The location of hotel was very convenient and I felt safe in parking lot day or night despite being on a trip with my boyfriend. Enjoyed the windows being shutters for a great view of the sunrise or sunset.

Would’ve liked to know there was a cafe on site for meals if needed before only seeing it myself on checkout or if complimentary coffee served for the morning was available. Would’ve loved to know of places to eat or where grocery stores were close by.

always clean

the bathroom had problems and it was hard to use. we had to make 3 calls to come and unclog or what ever the maintenance guy did that did not work at all. never got it to work so we had to go Mac Donald’s and use the number two if we had to cause bathroom would not flush correctly. we brought this up right away and made the call. we had traveled 15 hours driving non stop from Colorado, but we were offered another room we had just unpacked and thought it was a quick fix that maybe the people before us had left the room like that and did not say anything.

located close to frwy, Reagan Library and restaurants. Comfortable bed, in-room coffee and breakfast bar in lobby cafe.

Shower curtain installed incorrectly causing water onto floor, no fan or magnifying mirror. Towels a little skimpy but nice to have extras. Walls thin. noisy neighbors. it would be wise if hotels placed families with children together on the same floor AND above and below each other

Everything met our expectations. Very clean and quiet.

Did not like paying $12 for parking on property. Fee not appropriate for price of room. Not informed about parking fee when checking in.. no other parking alternative. $12 was just added to bill at checkout without explaination.
