The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe

We love the property, dining on the patio (the food was delicious) and the close proximity to family who live in Rancho Santa Fe.

Our room had a fireplace, which we did not use, but the room was very smokey. I had been to the property several weeks before to confirm the location of our rooms. We had requested the same rooms we had on a visit in 2019 and were told we would have those. Instead, we were given two rooms on the opposite end of the building, and our patio looked out over a parking lot and was not very private.

We've loved this hotel in the past, great location and historically wonderful service and value, but not quite at the level we'd come to expect anymore.

The casita's have fireplaces and always had wood piles around property in the past, but our room had one presto log, no matches, and we had to call housekeeping to get more fuel and fire. Also, took multiple calls to front desk to get an answer on each of the two times we called. Not sure if it's Marriot BonVoy's management (that's new since our last stay) or COVID, but seems less well staffed, a little less clean, and no longer quite at the top tier of hotels.

I was looking a place to recharge, reset my minds and I found it. The best hotel in SD area that i tried. I had an amazing big room with backyard and fireplace. very nice friendly staff. very peaceful. Birds singing in the morning- priceless. Great food! Thank you for having room service. will back there for sure.

when i returned to my room it was not cleaned. i left my room at 10.30 am. i called to reception, they told me that cleaners finished their work at 4 pm. But good news - they brought to me fresh towels, new bath supplies and tea. All good. but for the next time please be sure that room is clean. will be really appreciate it

Breakfast was excellent, however, the patio area could have been washed down at least once a day.

I know the room set up, you could ask guest for room location preference.

rates seemed high for these times with some things on Property not available food options need to be better-- INternet in the room was terrible. TV channel options weak-- A DVD player there with no Dvds ? and having one seems strange. ROOM DECOR seemed outdated..

The setting was beautiful and just like the pictures.

The only downside was parking and getting to our room required that we walk down or up lots of steps and there was no one to take our luggage.

Breakfast was delicious and portions were sizable. Loved the real fireplace with the pressed log! The spacious shower with high shower head was relaxing.

I could have used more light in the bathroom for applying makeup. We checked in after dark and it was hard to find our room. Signage with room numbers on the walkways would have helped us.

Can't get room dark. A bit noisy, they had work done in the next door room and when neighbor takes a shower pipes are loud

Breakfast was really good. Our server, Mitchell, was friendly and attentive. Zack in the small bar area was knowledgeable, friendly and patient.

Rooms are a little “tired”. Need to polish up the granite in the bathrooms. Towels were not absorbent. Extra blanket in room would have been nice.

Location and history. The decor was classic horse ranch style.

The food at the main restaurant Morado. The menu selections at brunch did not come as we ordered. Eggs over cooked. Ants were in our room near the coffee machine so you could not put food out came 2 times to spray room.
