Econo Lodge Inn & Suites near China Lake Naval Station

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and fairly quiet. The value was amazing - it was nicer than other motels I have stayed at in the area that charged more. Having a refrigerator was very handy as well, and while the room A/C was a little complicated to figure out, it did a great job once it was running.

The only real downside was that plumbing noises from other rooms could be heard fairly clearly. When other guests were showering, for example, I could hear the water in the pipes, hear creaking, and clunks when the water shut off.

Very clean room, some reviews complained of it being dated in design. I didn’t mind that because it was super clean and fresh...not stale and old. There’s a difference. I also like that they installed a spot to charge devices. They got an extra star for that.

Most hotels in Ridgecrest are worth about $15-20 less than what they actually charge so it was annoying paying so much for a regular hotel with not many amenities. Their snacks for breakfast were okay grab and go and I understand restrictions due to Covid. However there is no excuse to not refill the juice machine for customers paying so much for their bill. They could even offer juice boxes. The staff has told management that they need refills several times and she had yet to refill through my 3 day stay. I don’t like greed especially people who use Covid to use others so had to take off some stars for that.

The pool area was very clean as were the walkways, stairways and parking areas. The room was also clean in appearance. I rented the room just so we could have access to a pool.

The pool water could have been in better shape. It looked bluish green and had lots of small bits of debris, little bugs floating, etc… although it was windy which would account for the trash but the color of the water is possibly the ph balance being off. The only room available was a smoking room and the strong odor of cigarette smoke was thick.

Quiet. Room was large. Second time at this location.

All bathroom soaps/shampoo were out in the provided dispensers.

Great room, customer service oriented staff. Covid imposed limitations prevent serving normal breakfast but unlike other california motels this one offers self serve coffee and packaged snacks. The staff is really trying to minimize inconvenience associated with Covid. Pool was not open.

Under the current circumstances, the management is doing all it can to make your visit comfortable.

breakfast early Saturday was only English muffins and cereal. more was available as we were leaving around 7 as other staff came on duty and stocked breakfast area.

The room exceeded my expectations - it's clean, bed linens are white and fresh, microwave, fridge. Good location - on the way to Death valley.

Breakfast was very poor.
