Perfect location in Venice beach in front of the ocean, I felt very safe to be a solo girl in a mixed dormitory and met so much nice people. The staff was very friendly and also they give you towels for shower and for the beach which it’s so helpful. Nice bars and clubs in the area

During the night you can hear the music of the club even if you wear earplugs

Such a nice location right next to the beach with a simple breakfast included. What more could you wish for. Most of the roommates and people I met in hostel were open and really nice. Probably taking that also from the receptionists who are very helpful and kind.

You have to strictly enforce and add comments about the quiet hours in every notification you send, because a lot of people are completely ignoring them while packing bags @ 4AM when everyone is sleeping (happened most of the late nights/super early mornings in different ways even though we specifically talked about it and made remarks).

Nice location right by the beach, only a few minutes walking to catch the sunset. Super fast WiFi, spotless clean restrooms & common areas, exceptional staff (especially the manager) that helped me so much with cancelling a second booking - thank you again! Nice breakfast too

A second common area or bigger space would be amazing since it can get a little crowded at e. g. breakfast :) and maybe more comfortable chairs for working Also the beds are a little unstable and you feel every movement of your bunk mate unfortunately, and privacy curtains would be great Other than that, great hostel

The location is perfect as the hostel is located right on Venice Beach. The private room with an ensuite bathroom was spacious and had a beautiful beach view out of the room's window. There were two comfortable chairs in the room as well. The Wifi speeds were adequate for streaming videos without any issues. There was a ceiling fan and space heater available. We really enjoyed the private room as it was located on the more quiet side of the hostel (away from the street) and the beautiful views of the beach made this room a good value for the price.

We informed the staff at checkout that the bed needs replacing as it is very old, so hopefully they will have it replaced. The bed springs could be felt when lying on it and there was a large sinking area on one side of it to such a severe degree that it made that side of the bed completely unusable. The private room with ensuite bathroom also does NOT have a work desk in the room, as the description for the room says it has a desk. It only has two chairs with a small table in between, which can be seen in the photos. The included "breakfast" was very basic as it only offered hot water (for tea or instant coffee), orange juice, granola bars, and day-old, stale half-bagels.

I loved all the amenities. Breakfast is great, showers with shampoo and even hair conditioner (that was a pleasant surprise). The fact that you sell padlocks at reception, provide towels for shower and a fridge for food storage really makes the value of the booking extremely worth it. Shout out to Gus at the reception desk for being such a great host and always having great suggestions for places to eat, visit and shop.

I don't have anything bad to say about it. Sure, there was a nightclub under the hostel, but Samesun provides earplugs too, therefore deterring that small nuisance.

Conveniently located near the beach entrance and close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. A place with a great vibe, really helpful and nice staff. Solid brekkie, allowing you a healthy start for a day. Hot water is available all the time with tea and coffee set in the common kitchen. Really clean and well-maintained place. Great for beach adventure or just a chill-out. Close to the airport!

Let's face it - it's far away from LA's iconic points, and you need a few bus changes. Totally deserted surroundings in the evening, with a significant amount of junks and homeless people (wherever it's not a Hostel fault!).

Best location in LA! Right at the iconic entrance of venice beach. You can walk to the beach in 3 minutes. Very social atmosphere, although there could be more social rooms. Beds had comfortable thick mattrasses. Next to night clubs, food places and sports rental shop - all you need.

The wifi wasn't working for 3 days when I arrived, which was terrible. A little pricy for the small 4 person room we got, the rooms did vary in size (i got the smaller one with no beach view). Can be noisy at night, which i didnt mind for the most part. Lockers are only big enough for backpacks. Not entirely sure if the baths are getting cleaned.. Breakfast a little poor.

I had a short trip to LA and Samesun Venice was perfect for me. It is located right at the beach and is surrounded by fun places and eateries. The ocean view from my room is nice and also the view from the lounge is great too. The bed was comfortable and clean. The shower was big and the hot water was great! The quality of their free shampoo, conditioner and body soap was not bad. I had a long thick hair but their shampoo and conditioner worked for my untamed hair :) The service was also fabulous. Gus and Heather are friendly and kind. We could trust that they would do their best to accommodate what we need if they could. I would definitely come back to stay here when I come back to LA.

The staff, Heather-Bleu-Chris, were hard working accomodating and so friendly. Truly did everything possible to make my stay exemplary. Good breakfast, OJ, coffee, white & wheat toast 2 types of bagels, 2 types of grapes, aussie granola bites, oatmeal 3 kinds Fridge, toaster, air fryer, microwave, dishes cups to use. You receive one towel, & a locker ,bring your own or they have them for sale. Literally a 1 minute walk to the beach, shops, food & drinks Parking all over ...roughly $20 per day. Massage, just to the right of boardwalk... I highly recommend 30 min $25... they are both very good.

Need fans for those hot days... some of the rooms are quite stuffy (room 1 for example), tiny window for 4 people but facing NOT in a cross breeze so it gets stagnant. When playing music. [Especially late night]...perhaps, jazz or lohi hip hop, coffee vibes.... 🙂🙃

I got a private room with a shared bathroom. The bed was insanely comfortable, there was even a mini-fridge in my room and a well-lit sink. The bathroom was good too, the free breakfast was okay (bread/bagels, fruits, juice). The location is great, in front of Venice Beach. I had a great overall stay,

The TV in my room was not working (but I was not there for the tv, anyway lol); there was no window in my room (but the ceiling fan was great and soundless); the staff at the desk were not super friendly but they were professional and incredibly helpful.
