The room was wonderful. From the furnishings to linens, bed, everything was perfect! The breakfast was a bonus. Toasted English muffin and boiled egg. Great coffee! No a/c, but it wasn't necessary. Had a ceiling fan and could open the small window at the other end of the room to create a draft. I could hear the river outside my door. I had room 114, a Riverside King room. There was a microwave and fridge and small table with two chairs. It was so nice to feel close to nature. It was cozy and quiet. I was traveling alone and it couldn't have been more comfortable and affordable. Every room facing the river had a small table and two chairs right outside the door. I drank my coffee and read the morning paper out there with the sounds of the river rushing by. Pure perfection!

Gosh, I am not sure! I really cannot think of anything.

I liked the location. Everything I needed was within walking distance. There were restaurants, liquor stores, take-outs, within a few minutes walk from the hotel. The room was also large, clean, and the bed very comfortable 😴.

The staff needs work on their greeting of guests upon check-in. I had to ask the receptionist about times for breakfast, parking, and location of breakfast. She wasn't very friendly or welcoming. Idk if that's due to my being black, or she isn't trained well enough in hospitality. I think it's due to the former. But I overlooked it, eventhough I didn't like it.

The room was so nice and spacious. I was very surprised by the views and I loved the balcony set up with two chairs for each room. We walked about 20 feet from where our room was and there was a river/creek near by and was so beautiful to look at in the morning.

I did not know that they did not have elevators. We had travelled with one big luggage, but luckily we are agile and could carry it up.

Location to Basalt downtown district and bumps up to Frying Pan River. if you want to be Central to Aspen and Glenwood Springs while doing fly fishing it's fantastic. Really nicely upgraded rooms from what appears to be an older motel.

It was warm in Aug 2023 so between all fans and river, blast TV and still kind of hot.

The location is absolutely perfect. We skied Aspen and Snowmass and it was an easy drive to both locations. We walked to dinner at 3 different excellent restaurants and never walked farther than a block and a half! I also loved the cozy throws on the beds.

Breakfast could definitely be better. We actually brought our own because of the other negative reviews of the breakfast offering. My husband went to check it out one day and came back to our room to eat what we brought.

Location, location, location! Right in the city limits of Basalt. A 3-4 minute walk to many of the delicious restaurants in town. Get a room that faces the river and sleep with the window open (if during summer) so you can hear the water ripple over the rocks in the river, it’s so relaxing! The apartment is also very nice. We stayed there for two weeks and you can still hear and see the river from the balcony of the apartment. The Aspen Alt Lodge is the best kept secret in town. Staff is kind and courteous. Rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean.

Nothing! We’ve stayed there 4 times and will stay there again next year.

Great location. Basalt has great places to eat, many within a few minutes walk. Beds were VERY comfortable and the room was spacious, modern and very clean. Oh, the TV is huge by hotel standars (like 65 or more inches) and the wifi was Rockstar for streaming movies, etc.. Very impressed.

Breakfast offering was average but acceptable and there was a sign discouraging taking items for the road (we did anyway as we wanted to eat while driving to the ski resorts).

simple, no fuss; but clean and comfy and spacious enough. the location on the riverbank was wonderful; and right in center of town too.

a little bit of parking noise since our room was over parking spaces. Also smokers. We had a non-smoking room, but the building permitting smoking was close by so we could smell it; and also, people smoked out by the beautiful river bank which killed the vibe.

I liked the cleanliness of the rooms. The location was pretty ideal for skiing at Aspen, just a 20 minute drive from the slopes. There’s a restaurant right across the parking lot from the motel and several other places to eat and drink all in walking distance.

It’s a great spot and easy to walk around Basalt! The building is a little old but clean and comfortable. My only slight compliant was the old AC unit that was very noisy. I’m sure it’s not used often but it’s hot enough for a few summer months to use it now! Otherwise the room was very big and comfortable! The bed was great!

Breakfast is very basic. I only had the coffee because the rest was so generic and unappealing.
