Western Motel

I enjoyed that the staff was rather helpful, especially the manager. He was a joy and constantly asking if we needed anything when he seen us. He even gave us a call as well as we arrived later than expected to ask if we needed anything prepared for our arrival and to make sure the front desk stayed open for us.

The parking lot is odd, difficult to drive through as there is a few things in the way. There was only one pillow on the bed as well, but that obviously is what you make it.

Everything was amazing during my stay. The gentleman at the desk was a perfect example of aggressive hospitality.

I feel bad even bringing this up but receiving a social media friend request upon arrival at home from the employee. The line between guest and hotelier was crossed. I had an amazing review planned until that happened.

Located in the center of town, very clean and comfortable. Perfect for the Gunnison adventure traveler who wants a nice, basic place to stay. Good deal. Very nice towels!

The only suggestion I'd make is to have more pillows on the bed. I did like that the two pillows were labeled "soft" and "firm," but two of each would have been perfect. Also, the hot tub on the property is very cool. It would have been fantastic if it were in working order.

Clean comfortable and great location. All staff superb very warm welcome and could not be more helpfull. Great nepolise restaurent next door.

Bit on the expensive side compared to other booked stays on this month long vacation. That saint about the going rate for this town.

Ease of finding and within walking distance of food establishments.

Lamps over 2 twin beds didn't work or could not figure out how to make them work; had to use whole room light after some had went to sleep. Room with Queen bed got warm, no fan or AC reached that room.

The Manager, Tashi!!! Absolutely awesome guy! Hope to see and chat with him more in the future!

Maintenance guy just walked in room, no warning, just opened the door. Always make sure you knock and announce! Not hard!

Staff accommodated middle of night arrival by providing key/entry to room without desk check in. Room was right off road and easily accessible for my party.

price went up approximately 15% from prior year without any added amenities. One bed was still unstable from staying in the same room the previous year.

The only thing we didn't like was that we had to turn on the AC...it didn't turn on from adjusting the thermometer so we were sweating for awhile before we figured it out. That needs to be clearly stated somewhere in the room.

Comfortable beds, large and clean room, within walking distance to the Sherpa Cafe (great food).

While the room was nice, the fee was a tad high for a Thursday evening at a motel that wasn’t closer in to town.

Front desk staff were exceptionally professional. Went out of their way to recommend restaurants and even called them to see if they would be open early in the morning for our departure.

Price was a little high for the caliber of the hotel, but I understand that's driven by market demand.
