The Lodge at Mountaineer Square

Hotel rooms are HUGE! Lots of room to spread out, and a closet big enough to act as an extra bedroom in a pinch. We had three rooms between six adults, and they weren't all laid out the same way, but all were quite large!

Pretty dated decor in all three rooms. Could use some updating. Even my 17-year old made a comment about it looking like the 80s in his room, lol.

The staff were extremely welcoming & accommodating. The room originally booked overlooked the street & since it was very hot during our booked stay we asked for another room & the staff did what the could do accommodate the request. There is no central a/c but multiple fans were available to cool down the rooms. Luckily they were able to move us and did so without complaint or bother. The rooms were clean & nicely layer out with everything a guest would need for a summer stay.

The staff made our stay! Everyone was wonderful but we were especially grateful to Alex. Thank you so much for a truly memorable experience. He helped us find the lodge when we were lost, made food recommendations, called to check in once we got to the room, called the day before we checked out to see if we needed help bringing down our baggage, and overall made us laugh and feel so welcome with every interaction. It was our first time in crested butte and we can’t wait to come back! The lodging was central to everything we needed, comfortable, roomy, and accessible. Bed was comfy too.

We enjoyed everything! Coffee lab was wonderful - would love to see more nondairy, vegetarian breakfast options. We went into town and stocked up on groceries and that worked for us.

Location was great. easy drive down to Crested Butte. They did not have a breakfast. Staff was very helpful and polite. room was a sizeable and bathroom shower was great. Enjoyed the work out room, sauna and hot tub.

Was a little warm. even with windows open and fans running. Did not like paying extra for parking. Or, having to scan a card every time we left the garage.

walk to free parking lot is slightly far (2 blocks-ish) but at least there is a free option if you don’t want to pay the $20 per day underground parking although policy said room service comes every other day, no one came during our 4 night stay (we never used a do not disturb sign)

Amazing location, amazing views . The staff was some of the nicest I’ve ever encountered. Customer service was top notch. Will be recommending to all my friends and will stay again .

Great atmosphere at the Paradise cafe on the mountain. Burgers were awesome, but pricey. Outside service was overwhelmed throughout spring break - could have used some support. Burger chef was working his tail off - great attitude and deserves a big bonus!

The hotel was located perfectly, close to activities with fantastic views. the gardens were beautifully maintained. Everything was clean like new.

Our room wasn't ready by check in time ,we had to wait about an hour ,it's a little on the expensive side at $400 a night ,but would definately come back

It was during COVID-19, so they did a good job of trying to maintain services and friendliness, despite all the restrictions. Liked that there were NO pets - we have severe allergies and it is getting harder and harder to find facilities that don't allow pets, or at least have pet free rooms. Glad at least the coffee shop was open!

I didn't like having to pay extra for parking, at the cost of staying there they had should include that. It was clearly stated on the reservation, so I knew it going in, I was just disappointed. Picked this hotel anyway because of the pet policy. Sink in the bathroom didn't drain properly. Told the staff as we checked out.
