Great location

White Rabbit restaurant in the facility. Rude staff. Expensive. I can’t remember ever meeting more rude people all in the same facility ever.

The staff and location can't be beat! The rooms were clean and had modern decorative updates. And the public spaces were relaxing and communal. Also--super dog friendly. Lots of happy pups and happy families. I wish more hotels had bunk bed options.

The outdated 1970's building lurked under the surface. It was clear they did cosmetic updates, but not any actual renovations. There weren't enough plugs in the right places and some things felt just a little worn. Also--the toiletries provided were probably the cheapest ones a hotel can source. And to not provide lotion in Colorado with its ultra-dry air is just mean. The crappy toiletries just felt like a strange complement to the nice furnishings and bougie coffee.

Comfortable beds, nice pool and hot tub with a bartender serving local brews and cocktails. Can order breakfast and lunch items at front desk. Located near Steamboat gondola, lots of dining choices within waking distance. Quieter than downtown. Friendly and helpful staff. Was easy to extend our stay through the front desk.

Parking lot is limited. The exterior paint is peeling in areas. No luggage rack for suitcase. No instructions for TV. We could only get one channel. After trading remotes twice a staff member was sent to do a reset with a series of 4 buttons.

Super friendly and helpful staff, spacious and comfortable room, bike shop downstairs had the tools I needed for my bike.

Snack bar was fully stocked, and fridge was full of drinks, but the price list wasn’t put in a way that you know right away it’s not free (which was odd by the amount of snacks, but would have been a pleasant surprise). Fridge handle was broken.

The location is FABULOUS!! Overall a great concept, just a bit tired of a property.

The toilet placement in the room we were in was so tight to the wall you basically sat on the toilet paper holder! They need to rethink the placement of the toilet paper holder! (and neither of us are considered Obese by medical professionals!)

Jay, the on duty manager, went out of his way to accommodate my stay. First class customer service from reception/check-in and even helped with convenient parking for the boat trailer. The overall facility and rooms have been recently upgraded and the inn was pleasantly well kept! Jay gave me a tour of the walk out skiing access to the gondola that’ll get you to all the lifts at Steamboat which is a huge advantage during the winter skiing season. Mid week rental was one of the cheapest prices in town and a great value for the money when compared to other hotels that are more expensive. Kudos to the entire team at the Ptarmigan Inn as your comfort and satisfaction are their number one priority the moment you step through the entrance! Very refreshing to experience such a high level of professional customer service in this day and age!

The stair access can be a little bit challenging so make sure you get familiar with the elevator locations as there are two elevator locations for each floor and only one elevator for the main floor. You’ll need to match your floor level elevator with the main floor level elevator to get access to the main floor without having to climb any stairs. The higher room numbers have a second elevator closer to them and you’ll need to make a short walk to use the main floor elevator if you are staying in the higher numbered rooms.

Location, cool 70s / 80s style lodge.

Bathrooms are tiny but it doesn’t matter you are skiing all day.

Cute location! A little hard to find because it is behind condos in the area. I would stay there again.

Everything was great until I went to leave and my door stuck. Stuff like this happens but it was the only hiccup.

The hotel was in a perfect spot for ski in ski out making the location perfect. The restaurant staff were quite friendly but the front desk personnel were somewhat aloof and not as helpful as I would have wished.

While the location is great for ski in/ski out, it was also on the snow grooming equipment route. Starting at 5:00 am, the grooming equipment worked right outside our window for at least 2 hours beep beep beeping as they went forward and reverse grooming Buckaroo. TERRIBLE noise and night of sleep. Also, the bathroom was too small, there was no water pressure in the shower, very little hot water, and there were no mirrors in the bedroom. There was only the mirror over the sink in the tiny bathroom. I felt like I was in a cruise ship bathroom. For $400+ a night, these should not have been issues.

I liked the ambience, look & feel of the hotel. The decor is tastful but fun.

I requested late check out because of a race at Steamboat Lake. Wanted to be able to come back and shower before leaving town. The hotel agreed to accomodate my requesg, however the cleaners were already turning the room when I arrived. Also the hot tub jets are pretty weak. I did however enjoy the pool layout
