Legacy Vacation Resorts Steamboat Springs Hilltop

We were very happy with the location, the privacy of having two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, with the addition of a 3rd bathroom in the main area. There was nice kitchen equipped with cooking necessities, coffee, coffee pots, microwaves, etc. We all were able to enjoy the hot tubs and close location to everything we needed. There was a large group staying there that overtook a lot of the extra spaces and amenities. The price was outstanding. the paint outside is harsh as mentioned separately by both couples. overall outdated but nice clean sheets and location.

needs updating but we understand we couldn’t have stayed for such a low price otherwise. renting a two bedroom suite, we thought it would be one condo unit but it was two units attached. the description was misleading but it worked out fine. first floor view not so good but they weren’t trying to impress us.

It’s a very good value for the space in steamboat springs. the 1 bedroom condo with a loft is really a two bedroom (but one only has a half wall so open to below and the sky light). Kitchen was well stocked for a small condo, and minima cooking.

As we visited in summer it was hard to have a consistent temperature in the condo as the air conditioning is on the lower level, so the bedroom upstairs was warm but the loft and lower level were chilly. As others mentioned it is dated, but the towels and sheets are all nice. This condo is located outside of town up a hill- so you probably need a car if you plan to stay here.

We received a good discount through Booking.com compared to other resorts in Steamboat Springs. Great view of city and mountains from top of the hill. Mini kitchen had stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator. Studio was comfortable for a couple but would be tight for family of four with sleep sofa (which we did not open). Pool and two hot tubs were comfortable. Shopping with grocery stores nearby. Short drive to downtown

The city road to the neighborhood is in bad shape due to large amount of rain. Watch for potholes.

The room was a good size for a family of 4. The fold out couch was what you’d expect in comfort (not), but kids were ok on it. The pool and hot tubs were nice. There’s outdoor cooking on site and we’ll-appointed basic kitchen supplies in the rooms. It’s super close to main shopping, grocery stores, Starbucks, and Old Towne hot springs and mountain biking (which is why we were there).

The game room was a bit run down and we didn’t know everything required quarters. The front desk couldn’t break large bills and the coin machines were a little picky on what bills it would accept.

Had to use elevator to 5th floor (there are only 2). First level has a full kitchen (with freezer/fridge, coffee maker, coffee and utensils), microwave. TV. WiFi. Table for 4. Loft has a Queen bed, fans. Bathroom is on first level. Bath supplies are pump style, eco-friendly. Has Tesla destination and Clipper-creek Electric Vehicle (EV) charging. (We arrived on bike, but appreciate EV charging and will choose hotels based on EV charging). Appreciated RECYCLING and ECO-FRIENDLY bathroom. Nice large pool - good temperature. Nice hot tubs (2). Sun area with loungers and tables. Game room. Nice seating areas on 2nd floor for groups.

Steps to loft are steep, be warned. No nightlight in bathroom. Location is up a steep hill. Not located in downtown area (must bike/drive). Close to Slopes.

front desk staff was horrible. Started the conversation by saying my unlimited American Express business card was declined…. had to run it myself at front desk only to find out she was trying to charge my card $304 after I had already paid for the room on booking.com. $100 was the appropriate deposit. Very argumentative that I had not paid for the room and I even had to show her the payment from American Express on top of confirmation number from booking.com. Horrible experience. Over 20 minutes to check in and receive room.

I liked the location. The motel was nice but it didn't offer breakfast.

Breakfast would have been nice. We had to stop down the road. Also the cost of this motel was extremely high, in my opinion - $150/night. I stayed in other motels on the edge of Steamboat for about $89.00/night and they were every bit as good as this one. Unfortunately, at the time, the particular one we liked was under renovation and was closed for renting rooms. Steamboat is now a highly bustling community both summer and winter and prices are way high now, even to eat.

The customer service was wonderful. Your front desk staff made us feel very welcome, and those we met in the hallway were pleasant and helpful. The bed was stellar, too.

You need a ramp at the front door. Having to climb stairs to check-in is a challenge for some of us; the baggage trolleys and ramp at the other side of the hotel was inconvenient. ADA requirements?

The pool and 2 hot tubs were huge attractions for us. The 1-bedroom suite was spacious and well equipped. Desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

Mattress on the hide-a-bed was super thin and uncomfortable -- ask for additional padding. The wall HVAC units ran on "hot" despite having a thermostat. Had to be unplugged to get the room to cool down.

Great layout in our 2 bdr, 3 bath unit. The property is built in the 1950s, but has been upgraded and renovated very nicely. The hot tub and pool area are nice, the gym has amazing views of the ski mountain, good machines and weghts. The commin areas has many little hang outs, with tables and couches. The game room is nice, but the Ac could have been better, it got hot when we played ping pong and billiard.
