This was my third time staying at this hotel , the only thing that wasn’t as I expected was that I didn’t know the difference between ocean view and ocean front because I always stayed at an ocean front room in the main building, I was disappointed that my room was in the auxiliary building and had partial view .

Being in the auxiliary building and have just partial view of the ocean . Although the auxiliary bldg is close but in bad weather going to the main bldg for breakfast or to the bar and restaurant it feels miles away

Awesome location. Staff, including Mark & Emu (sp?), were VERY good. Convenient parking & bar staff is great.

It took two times & 1+ days for a pile of towels & used glasses right outside the door near the desk to be picked up!! For a beach location- bathrooms should have more towel bars. A/C sounds like a jet reving up for take off. Breakfast was ‘ok’. Wonder if hotel management believes in MBWA - management by wondering around. My guess is no. FYI: believe Bethany Beach has done a great job being a summer beach destination with shopping center, numerous beach access, porter potties a each beach ramp, foot wash stations & security & life guards. Info on line says you have beach chairs & umbrellas- nothing about on beach rentals at substantial cost - should have bought our own. Don’t mean to be negative- just observations.

The staff was amazing! Every single person was couteous and helpful. There was some construction occurring so the dining and bar was not available. However the staff steered us to excellent restaurants. They also upgraded our room to an oceanfront with beautiful views from nside and the balcony. It as spotlessly clean. Beds very comfy. Breakfast offerings decent and plentiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Shower head sprayed all over, and no shower cap as supplied. Too late to request one, as I as already in shower. But that's it!

The breakfast was better than many of the other hotels that we have stayed in recently. The staff was friendly and they took care of our requests quickly. The porter/parking attendant (Jim) helped us with our luggage, parking and dinner recommendations.

The lobby area and many of the rooms were being renovated which caused noise, dust and disruption. There were large dumpsters parked near the main hotel entrance during all of our stay.

I thought it was a nice place and it was clean.

The only problem we had was when we checked out. When we arrived we were very early so we walked around the boardwalk little bit then walked over to the motel. We were greeted by Jim a very nice man. He said parking on the street was free. When we were checking out there was a fee for parking in the garage, the women checking us out was very rude when I said no one mentioned a charge for the garage. She asked if we were greeted by the man in the garage, I said yes we were but because we didn’t drive into the garage we walked he didn’t say anything about a fee to park. She made a snide remark as we walked away. She was the only bad thing about the stay.( she was the lady with the broken arm) Everyone else was very nice.

Great location, clean and nicely appointed rooms, friendly staff

There was major renovation work going on in the lounge and bar area . Consequently, the included breakfast was just ok and we were not able to enjoy the bar. We had much better experiences on previous stays. It was also a surprise to be charged for parking this time, $10/night especially during off season when street parking is free. Indoor pool was also still under renovation (same as this time last year)…

The location was great just a few feet from the beach.

The facilities need to be upgraded. Do not stay on the ground floor in the South building. We paid $1350 for 3 nights in a queen suite with an ocean view. However, we were on the ground floor and the boardwalk was a few feet from the room and there was no privacy with all the foot traffic near the room. The walls were paper thin and we could hear the family in the next room all night and early in the morning. The electronics, such as clock and lamp chargers need to be updated. The bathroom fan was not working.

Breakfast was good. We had eggs 2 days in a row. It would have been nice to have a little more variety.The staff were excellent and very attentive. Our room was kept clean and nothing was ever a problem. We were greeted by two employees when we arrived and they were fantastic! They told is where to park for check in and how parking and check in worked.

We didn't understand about the voucher system for the beach chairs. They had given all been out in the morning. We didn't hear the part that all the vouchers are given out in the morning and nothing is available after that. It was trouble hearing on our part.

Overall, great experience. I was a little surprised at the cleanliness though. It's not that things weren't very clean, it just seemed a little less appealing with some of the things being a little bit older. For instance the fridge on the outside seems like it needed a scrubbing and the drapes to the patio we're old and torn. Also, the patio door seemed impossible to open, and was really hard for my elderly Mom and Aunt to get out themselves. These things wouldn't prevent me from coming back, just worth noting.

I booked hotels through booking. Com, this booking was by far the best. The staff from the front desk, to house keeping and the people who serve complementary breakfast were very friendly and helpful they all performed above and beyond what was requiredofthem.

Everything, staying at this hotel was very relaxing
