Booking.com was doing a deal for the Shelborne and the hotel is comparable to many of the other beachfront south beach-mid beach hotels in the area. I was happy with the decision to stay at the Shelborne. The pool was large and nice. There were many pool chairs. The lobby was clean and David's Cafecito was very convenient. The staff at the beach were very nice and attentive. The reservation includes two beach chairs per day. The beach umbrellas cost 25$ per day and an extra chair is 17$ which was fine. The hotel room had two double beds as advertised. The sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean with good shower. The hotel is walking distance to many nice restaurants and was a perfect location for a girls trip to Miami. The price was better than many hotels in the area.

The carpeting in the room was damp. The hotel did give pairs of slippers, but I would not walk on that floor bare foot. I think they should remove the carpets and place panel flooring. We asked for extra slippers a few times but did not get them. Sometimes the room was not cleaned until after 7PM.

We stayed in 1 of the Townhouses, it was awesome. Granted, don't look out the gliding doors. The building next door is under renovation. So it's not a pretty site. That work looks like it won't be finished for years. I do love the overall look of the hotel though. There is plenty of old world style and charm. Keep in mind the photographs of the rooms online are misleading. The furniture in the rooms looks more basic, but I didn't mind. Everything was clean, my bed was plush and comfortable, that's all I care about. The Good: Thankfully they do have a valet parking for your car, otherwise there would be no place to park. You will pay $50 a day. The service staff and the front desk is excellent, everyone was super sweet and accommodating. The location of the hotel can not be beat. Behind the hotel is the beach. So you have your choice of pool or beach. They have a hot tub as well. There is a outdoor bar and restaurant by the pool. You don't really need to leave the hotel at all. If you do want to get out to eat there are a few restaurants across the street with great food, with outdoor dining. Perfect. We were there for the 2023 New Year Celebration. We went to the buffet for dinner, they did a great job with the food, the seating was nice. We had a great time. The only thing that was missing was the fireworks. The bad: I can't think of anything really. The ugly: My only criticism is that the pool water didn't look as crystal as it should. Maybe because the pool itself is aged now, I'm sure this hotel was the best in the 40's and 50's. They need a better filtration system and more algicide.

I was made to pay extra 300 dollars for some sort insurance incase i damaged something and that it will be paid back onto my card. its been almost a month and I haven't received the money. All efforts to reach hotel proved futile.

I love this hotel, the amenities are expectational, if you have kids this hotel is recommended because the beach and pool is right at your foot, also they had a little patio section were the kids can play with huge chess game and Jinga, they also provide you with beach chairs and towels. It was super convenient, the food at the pool is so delicious and the portions are huge. I also love the front desk staff those guys are so nice and welcoming.

I did not like the staff at the pool super rude and unwelcoming, 13.00 for a bottle of Figi water is a bit ridiculous you can go to walgreens 2 blocks down and get 5 bottles of figi water for 13.00. They had no microwaves available, the rooms are a bit small and can use a bit of an upgrade.

Loved the location, loved the pool, loved the beach chairs on the beach. We had a spectacular room with a balcony and ocean view which was a nice retreat from the party vibe downstairs, the beds were also very comfortable. Hotel has alot to offer. We enjoyed the flexible check in and check out options too.

The only negative for us was one of the reception staff talking bad about my friend, most likely not realising that we were all together. Found that to be very unprofessional. All other staff were friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful views, nice staff, nice swimming pool, in front of the beach, Towels are free for the swimming pool and the beach.

The balcony rooms are beautiful but unfortunately so close to the balcony from other guests. Our neighbors smoked and then we had a terrible weed smell every morning. Towels are free for the swimming pool and the beach, but on the beach, you must pay 20 dollars each to get an umbrella.

Location, balcony view, interior design in bar, entrance and breakfast area. Pool was a good size and staff were very helpful.

Bathroom in the room was too small, only just fit one person at a time. Cut foot on patio door frame, patio door had no handle and the door also had a hole that let the wind in. Shower leaked everywhere. Bedroom was very plain, luckily the view made up for it! Not a huge issue, but there was nowhere to shower or change once you’d checked out, and our flight wasn’t until 9pm. Streets were noisy.

Valet & no parking, you have no choice but to do Valet. They said it was $46 & then they charged My card $50.

Great location. Vintage sheek feel. Big room. Great location on the beach. Food was great from the pool Cafe. Paid a little extra to check in early and it was worth the cost. Everyone was nice. Female Valet helped us with our bags because we asked a few questions and the doorman was busy. Will stay here again. Complimentary water. Complimentary slippers.

Could not get on internet to complete work from my room on the third floor. Drinks at the pool cost $40 for one soda and one mixed drink. Checked in on the beach, received towels, etc. Was asleep on a lounger and was woke up asking if we were hotel guest. We were the only ones asked. Felt singled out. Room fridge froze the complimentary water in a few hours.
