The location was great. The oceanfront rooms had a great view with a spectacular sunrise. The beach is a short walk from the pool. They have attendants at the pool and at the beach who will setup your chair and umbrella. It’s in a quiet part of Miami which is really nice for relaxing. The pool and beach attendants are very helpful and friendly.

Facilities are a little outdated but still nice. The balconies between rooms are separated only by steel railing so not much privacy while seating there. Booking.com gives options when booking an oceanfront room to either have 2 queen beds or 1 king. We selected the king bed but when we got there the front desk said their records show we booked 2 queens beds. I showed them the email confirmation of our king bed room but all the king rooms were already taken. Manager didn’t give any solution except to say we can move to a king room on our last night. The hotel wasn’t fully booked and she could have at least given more options to rectify their error.

I loved how close to the beach it is. The city has made the walking path and Beach access easy to use. The bed was so comfy-we watched the sunrise then went back to bed. I enjoyed the piano player in the bar, and the bartender was wonderful. He made the best drink for me and we had a real nice conversation. very nice and personable. I didn’t get his name, but he was a gem. we only had one night here, but it was beautiful. it has a touch of old Florida I loved.

The carpet in the room seemed a bit dated and worn.

The hotel has a perfect location, big swimming pool and friendly staff! The room was big enough, the beds were comfortable! The AC worked good!The private beach and the ocean are awesome!

The room was clean, but on the curtains to the balcony there was an old stain of blood, which had kind of unpleasant look! This was the only issue with the room! The view on the bay from 11th floor was unforgettable!

Excellent sized comfortable room with a good view of the sea with a good balcony. The swimming pool was excellent with very warm water. There were plenty of staff looking after sun beds and their pads and covers, parasols and towels by the pool and on the beach. The food in the restaurant was very good and we really enjoyed eating outside on the restaurant terrace. Front of house staff were very good as were the housekeeping staff.

Quite expensive and the restaurant closed at 9pm.

Great location with very nice view over the city and bay. The room had a balcony and two large windows. The people working at the hotel was so nice to us and especially our kids. The restaurant was a great experience as well and here the people working there was so nice and chatty. It’s located right at the beach and you can go directly there from the pool area. The pool was heated which was a nice surprise because it was a bit windy the day we arrived.

We love this property. It is our second year staying here in November. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach but only a 1/2 hour drive if you’d like to visit. It’s also close to the Hard Rock Stadium and other must sees in Florida!

The fee for parking. It’s like an added 26.00 a day and was not obvious when booking.

Super location for Bal Harbour Shipping etc. On the beach. Large pool. Charming hotel with much history to it over the decades. Peaceful for a good rest. Not a commercial hotel. . Attentive staff.

Tv was adjusted to only a low volume. In a large room difficult to hear when in bed. Needed a non slip tub mat that was easily provided when asked. Parking too expensive could be less. Could use more updating in rooms and baths.

Always a great time - right across from the beautiful shops at Bal Harbor - great restaurants - awesome, clean beach. And we got the north tip of the Air Show on Memorial Day weekend. The cabanas are a great feature. It is nice to check out at 12 and transfer to a cabana so we can stay a bit longer the last day.
