Red Roof Inn Ocala

Thumbs up or Kudos to the owners of this property. I would not normally go and stay in a Red Roof Inn due to a bad reputation and reviews about them in general. After having read the positive reviews of people on Booking.com, and giving the hotel a chance, I’m so glad to have trusted the reviews. I can only say good things about this particular hotel. The owners have gone out of their way to create comfort, and convenience through a well thought out design and planning. The hair dryer attached to the wall in the bathroom for example, has night light. Liquid soap,shampoo/conditioner and lotion attached to the walls in the bathroom for easy access; There is customer support specifically for the internet; Large TV is attached to the wall rather than sitting on the furniture which makes for a more comfortable viewing; lots of mulch surrounding the gardens, especially great for when our small dogs needed to use the bathroom instead of the typical grass that can brown easily or burn from constant hotel guests pet urination; the hotel is located near restaurants, shops, gas station and main highways for convenience. The hotel overall is very clean and well maintained.

Not the hotels fault, it’s more due to their interest provider. The inconvenience of not having correctly identified the internet connection issue immediately by the first customer service support personnel with Cox was frustrating. I needed to use the internet for Zoom due to an important meeting.

The lady Sammie that ran the front desk was amazing. She was there day and night.. She needs a raise for all her hard work. Thank you Sammie

It was supposed to include breakfast but it didn't. Booking.com needs to change it on their website. Very disappointed . I have a disabled daughter and it made it harder for me to take care of her. Really would like a partial refund back. I was not expecting to buy breakfast..

Clean, comfortable room

TV input was messed up (looked like previous guest was gaming). I and hotel staff could not get corrected, so could not able to use the TV. Said they were full and couldn't move to another room. Red Roof also has more paperwork to sign and initial at registration - more than any chain I've experienced (which is many), so be prepared to sign. Also, they add a charge $1.50 for the in-room safe and if you don't use it, you have to tell them at checkout. So again, check out is a nuisance rather than dropping the key and leaving.

The Hotel and staff where very nice, would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a good place to stay for a day or two.

The neighborhood needs a major facelift! It's like a new Cadillac sitting on a run down used car lot. If you are traveling for business and need a good place to stay it's great, but if you are looking for a place to vacation where you can look out the window and see a neatly manicured city then you probably want to go elsewhere.

Staff very friendly and helpful, I have to stay couple more days and they help me and allow me to stay in the same room. Facilities where good, clean and breakfast was good too.Worth it and the price fantastic

Bed very uncomfortable and stiff I was emailed a receipt in an a format other than PDF. I couldn’t open it. Instructions said to download Red Roof app. So I still don’t have a receipt They convinced me to stay somewhere that has comfortable beds and offers readable receipts without requiring an app to be downloaded

This location was NOT like your typical Red Roof Inn. Room are accessed from lobby, not from the parking lot. Thus MUCH better clientele. Friendly, responsive staff, clean room, good location

Good location, very clean room/bathroom/linen, and great housekeeping. Staff were nice, polite, and professional.

Nothing really to complain about, except there was only one roll of toilet paper and insufficient number of towels for three.

Hotel and the room was nice. When we get to the hotel, we noticed there were few people loitering in front of the hotel which made me a little uncomfortable and realized that the place might not be in the safe neighborhood. The entrance has double door and inside door will be locked at night and you will need to ask for unlock when u get in. It is not convenient but felt safe to be in the hotel. When I was checking-in a guy who claims that he is x-convict and have no place to go was asking for help to the lady in the front desk. She was alone in the desk but handled situation very professionally so I think the hotel is great but the neighborhood is not really recommended.

Dangerous neighborhood. I think day time is okay but would not recommend to stay out at night.
