Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Northwest/Oldsmar

I liked that the location was within 30 minutes from major places to see in the Tampa area. The room was quiet and comfortable. Plenty of charging stations in the room, a fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. The bed had a comfortable mattress and a heavy comforter that made the bed cozy. The breakfast was your standard complimentary breakfast with eggs, breads, and coffee. There was warm oatmeal and breakfast pizzas which was something different. The staff was friendly.

There really wasn't anything negative. With it being Florida and hot, water stations or complimentary water would be a nice touch. Because the comforter is heavy, I had to bump the air down but really that wasn't a big deal.

Perfect location! Near major stores, restaurants and highways with easy access to Tampa, Clearwater and New Port Richey. Room was large and comfy.

I was only given 1 washcloth (plenty of towels). I figured this was a slight oversight and not a big deal. I called down to the front desk and went down to pick up more. Easy fix. Fridge and microwave were unplugged. Didn’t realize until the next morning so I had to throw some food out. Again, not a big deal. Plugged both in and they worked great.

Staff and cleanliness

They were upgrading mattresses and 1 elevator did not work so the crew there w/ new mattresses constantly held up elevators during the day. And having to leave the room for 1.5 hours for them to get mattresses replaced while having a pet, was a real inconvenience

We appreciated the cleanliness and modernity of the hotel as a whole. We liked how there were hand sanitizer stations and bottles and wipes everywhere. The 24/7 available coffee in the lobby was a HUGE HUGE HUGE plus! The pool and hot tub area was nice (and we appreciated that there were towels available). Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant. We appreciated the breakfast being complimentary with our stay. Free parking is always something I look for so thank you for that too. I look forward to staying here again someday!

Mostly positive! These are very minor things that wouldn't dissuade us from visiting again, but ok if we HAVE to nitpick on tiny details, alright... Maybe we wish our room was ready at the check in time (we had to wait a good 15-20 minutes after 3pm), as we had just driven for over 20 hours straight and were ready to just pass out (hehe). We wish the breakfast was more like the traditional hot continental breakfast, but we understand changes had to be made due to COVID; it still wasn't bad overall, and we happily came down each morning for it. Finally we wish the location was a little closer to the beaches, but that can't be helped and it wasn't the worst drive to and from those areas. Otherwise, we really did enjoy our stay and look forward to being back!

I chose the queen suite. The room was gigantic! The beds were comfy. I was there with my service dog and there was plenty of room for him too. The shower & bathroom were clean and the the separate “kitchen”area at the front door was great too! I booked this trip thru Booking.com and got good rates. I originally booked for one nite, but extended for 3 more. I am very happy with this experience and would absolutely stay here again if i were in the area.

I am not sure why this hotel puts an additional $25 hold on your credit card on file each day for potential incidentals. The money gets credited back to the card (if not used) when the hotel charges are billed thru, but if i were in a situation where this process affected my ability to spend elsewhere i would be VERY upset.

Beds were medium firmness and the covers were very clean and comfortable. It was so nice to get in bed and relax. The room overall was very clean and the bathroom was exceptional. The front desk clerk (I didn't get his name) was very nice and accommodating. My husband wanted a room on the top floor and the clerk didn't even hesitate on meeting our request. Overall I'll return to this location when I'm in the area. I also seen there is a gym available on premises. Very nice and clean hotel with accommodations to meet a large variety of people.

location and cost. the complementary breakfast was a nice bonus.

the only complaint was the in room coffee. I had to request more each day as the room was only serviced after four days.

Breakfast was great - the two workers we met were sweet and kind. (Chris & Kim) they put smiles on our faces. They were attentive and hard working. They made our breakfast very enjoyable.

Our trip started as a quick getaway, just my wife an I, but at last minute we decided to bring the kids. As I explained this to Gina she immediately told me it’s no problem and upgraded us to a suite so we could all be comfortable. Thomas, and Kayla at the front desk were wonderful, whether we needed extra towels blanket’s or even directions. The staff made us feel like we were staying with family, I highly recommend this hotel.

Christine and Kim in the breakfast room were phenomenal! They made our stay so special. We looked forward to seeing them! Sammi at the front desk was warm and welcoming.
